I believe we are going to learn in court that the neighbor's surveillance camera is an inexpensive system that either had no wide-angle range or was only focused at door height.

We already learned in the arrest documents that the homeowner did not subscribe to cloud storage service for the surveillance camera footage, and used only a free service for the keeping footage short term. I believe capacity about 3-4 days before deleting to store the latest images.

This is what I hope happened and I hate thinking about it and try not to. I hope the first hit knocked her unconscious and she never knew or felt anything else. I don't doubt though that he struck her over and over. He's vile and monstrous and his hate and rage had built up so he wanted to make her death the worst possible. There's no explaining the loathing I feel for this monster. He isn't human...grrrrrrr

I think that's possible. He could have knocked her out and then done overkill. You hear about overkill a lot in the news.

Forgive me but that confuses me. If storage was only 3 to 4 days, how is it that they have ANY stills of him that day? Iirc it wasn't till later than that LE spoke to the neighbour about video. Sorry if I'm misremembering. Could someone clarify for me?

Ashley Porter, one of Frazee's defense attorneys, said no murder weapon has been found, Berreth's body hasn't been found, and the only blood jurors will see is "tiny, minuscule spots of blood under the floor boards." She added that Frazee has cooperated with law enforcement, gave his phone, and took pictures in the nude so investigators could see any marks on him.

I'm going to say "no mark'. I think he planned it well enough to not get scratched. That's probably the why of the sweater over her head.

That bolded part pisses me off. What kind of marks would he have on him? He is twice her size, swinging a bat, and she had no idea he was a danger, she was blindfolded and blindsided. What kind of marks would we expect him to have---besides a 666 across his forehead?

IMHO the defense isn't going to bring up something that will ultimately hurt their client and I believe going after CB's statements during that time period would only serve to do just that. Context matters. At that point the man CB suspected of doing something horrible to her daughter was in possession of her one year old granddaughter. Think about it...CB was so worried about PF's history of volatile behavior that she felt the need to placate him in press when responding to questions about him and his relationship with Kelsey. The defense is going to do everything they can to avoid those conclusions being drawn by the jury.

Good points and I agree.

But being a 'nervous Nellie' ---here is what still concerns me. We will have Kelsey's Mom and brother, sharing what she told them about her relationship. But the defense will gently and carefully get to the idea that Kelsey may have not shared everything with her Mom. And maybe not everything she told them was 100% truthful.

I worry that the defense will have their own liars---I mean witnesses---that will come and taint Kelsey's reputation---making up false reasons she was asked to sit on the porch, etc...

It's really important that the State gets impartial witnesses---like the CPS workers at the hospital---to talk about PF's volatility and anger.

Let's hope that the very act of knocking KBs teeth out of her head is the karma nails PF's own coffin shut.

Poor KB....she is strong like her mother. Her body was beaten but she still speaks..literally from her own grave.
She did absolutely nothing to deserve this treatment from PF and the F family. So glad lil K is nowhere near any of them any longer!

I used to check in daily because I so wanted see the news that she was found.

As a mom I know how painful it would be, not to able find my daughter, bring her close to me and lay her to rest.

No matter what condition her remains may be in, I would need to find my child and take loving care of her.

All I want from this trial is for PF to tell us where Kelsey is.

He is such a horrible, evil excuse for a human being... Just leaving her where he dumped her without ever letting her family attend to her remains, is so his syle. I hope he rotts in hell.

I mean, He's caught, he's busted, he's going to jail, no reason to hide her body now... Just pure evil.

This goes way back but I recall something about whether or not the owner looked at camera active "notification" in their email, then owner could download and/or save captured video and/or image to a personal device. But if no interference by owner, it's lost after a few days. This is only from recall, and not factual.

I believe this may have been explained in greater detail at preliminary hearing, and why the court had "stills" and not "video" from neighbor surveillance camera.

Might not be the case here, but I once knew a guy that did this exact same thing thing to a friend of mine.
(I remember he told her in a heated argument," My sister is #1. I don't know what ever made you think you're #1.!).

Turns out, he and his sister had a very incestuous relationship. Not saying this is the case here, but it would't surprise me. (I wonder, do PF and his sister look alike?). The cretin and sister, my friend was involved with could have been twins... (They love themselves these narcissists!).

A man who spent months fantasizing and planning the murder of his child's mother is the product of a scary combination of nature/nurture, especially when we examine the freakishness of the plans.

Nothing I hear about his upbringing will surprise me though the DA may be wary of spending too much time on the "nature" part lest jurors excuse some of his behavior.

One day we'll know all of it, though maybe not until the book is written.

Once again, I miss Ann Rule. She would be right there sitting next to GoJacks for this one!
