You're right - that info is posted on MSM. And this is first I heard of a small plane and a toothbrush left behind.

Pasco relatives pray for miracle as search continues for missing Colorado mother

"Police found Kelsey's two cars and a small plane exactly where she last parked them."

"Just like her clothes, makeup and toothbrush, untouched since Thanksgiving."

That's interesting considering I was told that the police department was recommending to keep the details from spreading when the article linked above has the police Commander requesting the community's help.

"The public has helped some of the cases I've worked," he explained. "We couldn't have done it without assistance from the public."

This story is SO confusing.....

Now on the Missing Mother Kelsey Berreth FB page the family replied that Kelsey's mother reported her daughter missing on December 2nd.

She went missing November 22. Her family had no idea and didn’t start posting until December 2. Per her family Facebook page, which I asked a question on this morning, her family was never notified and didn’t report her missing to police until December 2, 2018. That’s 10 days of being missing, no contact with her daughter, and any caregivers involved in her daughter’s care must’ve known she was unreachable but failed to report that to to police or her family? This photo was posted on the family Facebook page this morning.

So where did she go after she went to Safeway?

Her last known sighting was in the Safeway on November 22.

Surely, there are witnesses that saw her.

I am an Uncle of Kelsey Berreth and live in Eastern Washington. I will state that she is still missing and the family appreciates the support, prayers and especially the sharing of her picture. Any information released on this case will be released by the Woodland Park PD in efforts to keep facts clear. This is not a normal behavior for my neice to go anywhere with out letting someone know ahead of time.

Thank you for doing that! That was really clear. As an airline and recreational pilot before I went into Law Enforcement, I have to respectfully disagree with the family's statement that as a "safe" pilot she would have filed a flight plan IF she used a plane to leave the area. A LOT of safe pilots, including myself do NOT file a flight plan. There's an alternative that's safer, but it is not retained like a flight plan is. It's called "VFR (visual flight rules) flight following." On takeoff you contact the air traffic departure frequency (which is available on a number of phone apps) and they "follow" you with a discrete transponder code they give you - watching you along the whole flight, until you say goodbye, handing you off to each sector's controller and providing you alerts to other traffic. Unlike a flight plan, they start SAR immediately if you declare an emergency and know exactly where you went off the radar. With a flight plan, they don't start looking for you until 30 minutes after your landing, and then may have no clue where you actually went missing on your route as filing a visual flight rules flight plan doesn't require you to talk to air traffic control, except for opening and closing. People have died waiting in the cold for SAR when their flight plan expired and their route took them across hundreds of miles. If you want to go flying and do it safely without making the flight plan (and possibly forgetting to close it which ends up being VERY embarrassing) many folks go with the flight following. Air Traffic Control keeps recordings of such conversations for 45 days. They must be requested through FOIA.

Is anyone a member of one of those flight radar sites? I know some of those sites allow paid members to go back in time and see air traffic but I don't know if you can find flights like @GraceG talks about.

One way or another Ashley and/or her phone had to end up in the vicinity of Gooding, ID at the time it pinged there. That is the sticking point of this case. By car there is no way to get from Woodland Park, CO to there without stopping for gas at least once, if not twice. Ashley, or someone else connected to her should be on surveillance footage somewhere along the route.

I wonder if she suffers from periodic depression. Maybe the thought of spending Thanksgiving alone was tough to bear. Perhaps someone was taking her home to her mother. Maybe they made it as far as Idaho and had an accident or she/they decided to stay under the radar and traveled somewhere else.

It seems significant that they have chosen to post that picture of her with a man in the FB post/page. There doesn't seem to be any indication that he is missing too, or thought to be with her.

I have a paid membership to one of those sites - my engineer husband flies commercially a lot so I can check on his flights (we jokingly call it "flight stalker" at our house). But you have to have the aircraft "N" (registration) number to track any historically and airplane owners can block their planes from showing up (corporate CEO's didn't like the fact that competitors could see where they were doing business). Since the airplane mentions on here are rumor only (since no one posting this info has become verified) and can't be discussed in detail if anyone has any aviation questions drop me a private message.

Okay. Who did Kelsey live with? Missing on November 22nd and not reported until December 2nd.

How did she get to Safeway? Who and where is that person, if they took her to the store?

How far is Safeway from her house? If she walked, she probably did didn’t buy a whole lot.

Who watched the baby when she went to the store?

So 10 days without contact. And it took a relative from out of state to file a mp report.

I believe her plan was to come home from the store, she had just baked something right?

This has the familiarity in missing people cases that we all dread, imo.

Prayers for her and her family.

If the family is answering questions on the missing page can we tell what has been said?

Hi - is everyone referring to the facebook page "Missing Mother Kelsey Berreth"? I'm trying to confirm that information being posted from facebook is from admin posts on an "official" and public page/group. No comments or posts by other individuals on these types of pages, or for instance on a family member's personal facebook page. TIA

We don't know how she got to Safeway but now the WPD updated their missing report to she was last seen in the area of her residence on November 22nd.

I got edited for talking about things happening on the public Facebook page for Kelsey. What do I need to do in order for it not to get taken down? Link or post a screenshot?
