Ok, you're going to kill me.

Can we please get 3 separate map images (nothing fancy, just basic incident markings, just need a quick visual if you can please swing something real fast.)

1. April 21, 22

2. May 17, 18

3. June 2, 3

(Hey Forager, let me by you a beer for all your hard work!

Here you go! : :toast:

Seriously, thank you.)

Sorry, just noticed this. I'll do it right away. I'd been doing the homework reading Foxfire had assigned!

Adding by edit as I go:

April 21 & April 22

May 17th and May 18th:

[Please check, Margarita. I'm only showing Jacoby on May 18. Nothing for May 17th.]

June 2 and June 3:

I am guessing Wednesday was the perp(s) normal day off work. That accounts for 2 out of the 3 days. And May 18 was a Monday and lots of businesses give people Monday off because it is a slow day for some businesses.

So my guess is those 3 days he had off work. And his schedule usually gives him every Wednesday off. (possibly Mondays too)

That is assuming the perp(s) even have a job.

Unless he works at a strip club. I doubt business is slow on the first business day of the week.

Lol. Jmo

:floorlaugh:

You'll be working for the FBI before you know it!

Cori Romero after the shooting. Man, she really dodged a bullet, literally!

Eta: I only wish Jacoby and Connole could have been as lucky. :(

"Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers**has also made these incidents a priority. If you have any information about these incidents, you're encouraged to call*800-222-TIPS (8477). In addition, *advertiser censored*task force*is in place, with members working hard to find the person or persons responsible for injuring Romero, killing Jacoby and terrorizing members of the northern Colorado community."

Eta: IIRC, NCCS also added an additional $2000 to the reward.

Interesting.

I hope this is the same guy involved in the other shootings.

This part makes it a possibility to me. Notice he was first observed walking near a wrecked car already and he had a gun. So if he was our "shooter guy" maybe he wasnt paying attention to the road while he was scoping out new targets and maybe he crashed his own vehicle. Then when LE first observed him, he realized he was up a creek without paddle and hijacked the car.

"The incident started about 7:40 a.m. on I-70 west at approximately mile marker 224. That's where the suspect was observed walking along I-70 near a crashed vehicle."

ETA: corrected "rifle" to "gun" as it is not clear the type of gun he had.

"Romero's is the only case other than Jacoby's in which a bullet was recovered — and it's not clear what broke the windshields in the other shatterings."

Wait a minute----how do they know this? How do they know that a bullet(s) was not recovered in WC's case? This has got to be liberty taken with words...unless LE told them this...

*My guess is that they probably really do not know if a bullet was recovered in WC's case, and this is poor wording. Who knows though? I want to ask them for clarification.

(I wonder if this guy is a drinker...)

(I wonder about the kids and Erie---note to self / look at that when I get back)

Hello Everyone.

LE needs to stop this monster(s).

I need to read back through some of the great information people have already posted here. The maps are very helpful.

I tend to think this guy is relatively young because in other cases of shootings like this, it seems it is usually relatively young punks. JMO of course. Thinking age range most likely 14-23.
Could be wrong of course but if I had to guess...that would be age range I am thinking is most likely.

Welcome to the thread. :)

I definitely think its a young punk(s) too! And so do a lot of the locals!

No way Margarita! Unless we first get an armored car.

I felt the same way about the DC sniper. I was close to the area at the time and I wanted to go drive around to see if I could spot anything suspicious to help find him and maybe even get rich off the reward. I then immediately realized that it was just too dangerous.

It was a very scary time and it makes people afraid to go anywhere. LE needs to stop him ASAP.
It is a form of terrorism for the locals. .

Marking my spot. Haven't yet completely caught up. Great to see everybody here, warm here, thank you. Last time on thread, I left with Mr. Bill Connole's image on my mind, and what happened to him that night. He was said to have a been a very generous man, kind to strangers, well liked in his neighborhood, extra-ordinarily kind to those around him as well, and fond of Loveland.

This is pure speculation on my part, how I try to figure things out for myself, so please take it with a lick of salt. So, I'm thinking the act of going for a walk at the time of night, may have been on a whim or an act borne of courage on his part, of owning where he lived, and what he loved, of not letting something evil take anything away from him. LE will have some idea of how it really happened, but I imagine Mr. Connole knew what he faced in that moment and was noble man who put himself out there with brave intent, not fear. I'm so sorry that a coward was drawn to him, in a moment that could have remained peaceful and pleasant for Mr. Connole.

Thanks.

I kind of put these random shooting perp(s) in the same category as the perps that throw large heavy rocks off highway overpasses at cars. It takes the same type of immature evil warped minded person to do both and usually it ends up being relatively young immature punks.

Not always of course, which makes it tough to solve these kinds of cases.

Good catch.

searchinGirl, in virtually every serial murder case that I have researched. One common denominator that crops up time & time again is methamphetamine abuse, either directly or indirectly.. Imo, meth abuse creates psychopathic personalities/soulless creatures.. Not sure if meth will come in to play in the CO Shooter/serial killer case, but guess, only time will tell..

http://crime.about.com/od/serial/a/speedfreakkillers.htm

Wesley Shermantine and Loren Herzog, were dubbed the "Speed Freak Killers" after a 15-year methamphetamine drug-induced killing spree that began in 1984 and ended in 1999.

Childhood Friends

Loren Herzog and Wesley Shermantine, Jr. were childhood friends, having grown up on the same street in the small farming town of Linden, California. Shermantine's father was a successful contractor who showered Wesley with material things throughout his young life.
He was also an avid hunter and would often take both boys hunting and fishing until they were old enough to go on their own.
<snipped - read more>

Yes indeed, Foxfire. Meth, meth, meth. Heroin is also really big up here, but I would lean more towards meth---these acts do appear somewhat speed freakishy.

Especially if there are so many consecutive back to back incidents, like day and night as noted above---could be all night or day binging...

(Yeah, I need to buy her a beer too for getting Forager over here...)

I'll drink to that. Put it on my tab

I'm sure gun store owners will know if recently a customer was coming to get new scopes for rifle.

These owners need to compare customers to see if one frequents all of them to stay under the radar by going to the same one.

You go to one for adjustments. One for new scopes and sights. One for the ammo.

They Know who this is.

Man with gun killed after I-70 pursuit following carjacking

Wayne Harrison, TheDenverChannel

"A suspect -- in a vehicle that had been carjacked -- fired at pursuing law enforcement officers before ending on an off-ramp near the Comanche Crossing neighborhood."

Snip

Interesting..........especially because of the RIFLE....don't people use smaller guns in carjackings usually?

I hope this is the guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carjacking though---seems like an odd mix but wait a minute....check this out! <post in progress>
