In reading this, it seems the chromosome is defective not so much the substance. I don’t think it’s by any means an excuse for murdering your family. But it could explain him acting “outside of himself”. If they go for the Death Penalty, it might be a mitigating factor. And perhaps more research needs to be done on the Thrive products.

But “3 weeks prior to everything happening” SW was across the country in NC, without CW, who was only there for the first week of the 6-week visit. I am a bit confused how it could have been observed that CW “wasn’t touching or hugging or doing stuff like that” 3 weeks prior to them returning from NC when they were not all in the same place then. Am I off here?

And *other articles say he was there at the "end of the 6-week visit". So which is really right? We may have to wait for official documents to come out.

My ex was abusive in every way and through the years I realized his mom was just as abusive to his stepdad. I believe evil is real and my ex and my MIL in MOO are evil. Also my ex MIL wouldn't allow my children to her house when my ex would have them because they acted to much like me ( no clue what that even means)
Anyhow you just never know how ppl are so I'm not sure how I feel about his family not speaking out.
I can tell you if my ex killed me and my children his mother would stand by him and blame me 100%. Everything was my fault always and I deserved the things that would happen to me.

The friend called the cops to do a welfare check. CW came home to walk through the house with LE (and friend).
Did CW come home just by chance or did LE ask him to return home to do a welfare check?

Another thing.... CW was observed leaving his house @ approximately 5:15am. The sun is getting ready to rise out here in the west and that would not have accounted for very much time for him to drive to oil site and maneuver hiding the victims. That seems like a really short time-span. I am curious to find out the actual timeline of events.

First. Now is not the time.

Second the statutes cannot be changed st this point to effective date anything prior to the time they were killed. As emotionalf as this may be, you can’t retro fit the law backwards. The law will stand as it was when they died.

Take for example and this is simplifying it WAY down.

If a person gets a parking ticket and the fine is $100.00. But that person got angry and left the car there for a week.

The mayor comes along and notices the car has been there a long time and the mayor wants to park there. The mayor cannot request the fine go up to $1,000.00 just because he wants to park there. ( I understand there may be other parts if parking law that might apply but for this explanation we are not going to consider those, keeping it simple)

The law can’t be changed after a crime has been committed.

I suggest you may want to research this AND speak to a LEGAL REVISOR of STATUTES FOR THE STATE OF COLORADO. I SUGGEST YOU CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR or REPRESENTATIVE.S. That’s the proper place to begin.

I do not believe this is the correct way to do this. Although your heart may be in the right place you might be wasting your time.

Comments with respect. Trying to help and I agree with the basic premise.

But wouldn’t a petition have value to change the law so that the next time someone does something like this (and sadly, there probably will be a next time) they can be punished?

On YouTube there is a video of Dr. MacDonald on the Dick Cavett show, not too long after the murders. His behavior on the show was so bizarre and so inappropriate that his father-in-law realized he did it, and he forced the criminal investigation against MacDonald.

An FBI behavioral specialist said the same thing about CW. They stated he did not just 'snap'.
O'Toole said the interview demonstrates Watts' "selfish" thinking style, indicating he was likely demonstrating similar behavior before the murders and didn't "snap."

C.W. has a Public Defender. I think this is going to be a Death Penalty Case. Just a hunch.

His attorney is sharp. The dna filing was evidence cws attorney was preparing several possible defenses. And suggesting ideas to the judge, posturing and letting the prosecutor know she is preparing a rigorous defense.

Possibilities;


1. Sw did it.

2. CW killed her for killing kids in an emotional state.

3. He panicked and hid the bodies.

Or;

1. SW was having affair baby was not CWs

2. SW, CW AND AFFAIR GUY all were present after she arrived home from az and affair guy did it and ran. CW panicked and hid the bodies ( oh my what WOULD people think?) explains emotional conversation

1. CW in a state of functional shock and while it was all like a bad dream he couldn’t shake, he remembers nothing until he confessed to the murders to please the investigator questioning him.

OR

OPEN TO RADICAL EXPLANATION FROM anyone. Think outside the box. This might be a very good trial to watch.




Since the judge elected not to tell the ME how to conduct his/her job the attorney suggested it could be lost forever. It may morph into an appellate issue. My guess is someone probably suggested quietly that the me include DNA swabs during autopsy. Then again perhaps not.

Maybe a girlfriend/girlfriends will surface, like for Scott Peterson, but I don't believe that would actually be a motive, since divorce is such an easy option. I can't think of anything that constitutes a motive for a man to kill his children, most Dads would suffer a lifetime of misery and guilt if they were responsible for their child's death. I also think narcissism is too banal and common a condition to explain this.

I think he must be a sociopath, like all the other mass murderers. He probably hid this for years, acting the part of someone normal, and then for some reason he couldn't keep up the facade and that part of him took over. For whatever reason, he didn't want his wife and children anymore and so just got rid of them, like getting rid of some old furniture he was tired of.

ETA: it occurs to me, it may also have been mixed up with revenge, punishing Shannan by killing them all.

BBM : My divorce was not easy at all and we didn't have anything to fight over. I literally walked away with the clothes on my back and my kids blankets. I didn't fight for anything at first and gave my ex the house. After my ex started abusing his 2nd wife I took him back to court, it got really ugly and lasted over a year and we were in court once a month and I paid over $15,000 on attorney fees. In the end I did get sole custody and was award $900.00 a month in child support as I cover all medical. Needless to say I have never seen a dime nor do I care he's out of our lives.
My point here is divorce is very expensive and messy and most likely he'd pay a big junk monthly for 3 children IMO

I remember years ago a comedian/actor (Phil Hartman) was murdered by his wife who was taking antidepressants. Zoloft, I believe it was.

I don't believe anti-depressants cause people to kill themselves or others. I think what transpires is people are already having those thoughts and the anti-depressant just gives them the "energy" to do what is already in their mind to do. Energy is the wrong word but can't think of a better one.

On the topic, upthread someone was discussing MLM and the positive affirmations that SW had all around her including in her home. This is very common among young people these days just look on SM and pinterest...thousands of them. I also wish to note that it IS part of the selling program in MLM as well as ANYONE selling anything. Putting yourself in a positive mind frame. I have no personal knowledge but I am going to suggest that SW did not need those around her as much as some people would. By all accounts she had a close family that dearly loved her, her strength in dealing with lupus yet having such a high paced life etc. I take it that she was a self motivated individual that had a healthy positive outlook on life and the confidence she needed to believe in herself.

On the other hand I do NOT see this in the case of her husband. CW appears to me to be a very sullen individual with just about zero pep and confidence in himself. The presentation he gave for his communication class was a TOTAL snoozer. Absolute monotone, uninteresting, no energy or confidence. Watching it made me think perhaps SW had suggested he take that class to gain confidence and learn to better communicate with people. Something that clearly comes natural to her.

So what this makes me conclude is that those positive affirmations around her house were there for one of two reasons or perhaps a mixture of both. She may have been attempting to help her husband have a better outlook on life, become more positive a person and build confidence in himself. If he is a depressed person by nature she may have thought this was a way she could help him and make an extrovert out of an obvious introvert even his teacher said he was quiet and kept to himself.

Alternatively, she may have needed to resort to having the affirmations around her for her own purpose because living with a negative and or depressed person can be very difficult for someone even a positive minded, high energy person like herself. Negative people are energy vampires that literally suck the life out of you. I am related to one of those types and OMG I used to get off the phone with her and think WTH and feel exhausted...I felt myself drained of energy and my soul LOL. Negative Nellies can and do have a negative effect on those around them because you try to help them see the bright side and they have a litany of excuses as to why this suggestion or that can not help them. UGH...toxic people.

I just imagine living with this guy and him acting out either downing everything about her and what she is doing or seeing the negative in a situation and SW pointing to one of those positive affirmations for HIM to read. I would think that over time this would infuriate him and certainly make him feel himself a failure not being able to live his life her way in a positive light. Her being somewhat successful in her business clearly proving she could walk the talk...well that was a double blow to his already low self esteem.

The veil was lifted. As soon as I saw his mugshot I thought to myself, well hello CW, we are finally seeing the real you. With the mask off look at that picture. It's all there, the sullen yet ANGRY look on his face... those ANGRY eyes. A very menacing looking man. The guy is being arrested and yet you can see the defiance in his demeanor simply in a photo. I bet the cops wanted to sucker punch that look off his face. I know I would.

CW saw Nicole on door camera from work. Nicole was at their
door knocking and looking for SW after not being able to reach her by text or phone. CW spotted her on camera and raced home.
