And if they cant even pay the overdue HOA bill of $1554, how are they going to come up with $5800 as the baby's due date gets even closer?

I'm sure he planned this. He had deactivated his FB account, he had scoped out an area to dispose of the bodies, he must have planned this for weeks. His reaction when she told him she was pregnant was so cold that you know he had been planning by then to kill her and the children.
As for why he did it? Because he's a self-centered selfish jackwad and he needs to be put in a cage for the rest of his life so he can't inflict any further damage on anyone else.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed. I hate even thinking about this, but does anyone know if the gas and oil in the tanks the girls bodies were placed in could speed up decomposition or otherwise destroy physical evidence?

I researched that this morning and did not find conclusive evidence. there have only been a few similar incidents worldwide.

No. I mean I think he confessed to his family when they arrived Wednesday, per reports, and then they convinced him to speak to LE, just as the news indicated, at which time he was arrested. I see nothing to suggest that's wrong.

Maybe in the 6 weeks she was gone he was getting all those bills he'd never seen before and then the tax bill shows up.

I also watched this "surprise, I'm pregnant" video and recall SW wearing a t-shirt she had printed with similar words to "did it again." What I caught was SW left completely deflated when CW walks up to her and glances at test stick with pink (for positive result) and CW snide "girl" remark, causing SW to proclaim "it's the test result, NOT the gender!" CW tried to recover complimenting the t-shirt but it was too late, one of those moments SW could never forget. MOO..

Reminds me of John List..long time ago killed his wife, kids and mom supposedly due to financial pressures.

That was one creepy case. He laid out all their bodies on the ballroom floor and blasted classical music and took off. He had mama issues and a mentally unstable wife and had lost his job. I highly recommend the book and movie. (Ironically, Robert Blake plays List in the movie.)

Colorado has capital punishment, but the Governor declared a moratorium on carrying out actual executions in 2013 and that's still in effect. Moratorium might indicate a state moving toward abolishing the death penalty, as Illinois did in recent years. LE likes having the death penalty as a bargaining chip to get perps to talk/cooperate, even if the jurisdiction isn't Texas-active in carrying out executions.

I’m embarrassed to admit this but.....many years ago I came to NC for a month. My neighbor was in charge of getting my credit card bills out of the mail before my husband came home. Not proud of it, but did it.

I think either drowning or suffocating the girls.

Does anyone recall the case of a father who suffocated his youngest child, attempted two other children while the mom slept? The older child fought him off and woke mom up. He then locked himself in his office. A grandfather lived downstairs and called 911.
IIRC, the surviving child(ren) reported he had done this before but wasn't successful. There was a financial motive in this case also as father had been hiding they were close to losing their home.

It feels eerily similar to this case and the photo of the doll covered on Facebook really makes me wonder about him attempting suffocation before and not being able to go through with it. They may have been playing that scene out (common in play).

As far as I know there’s been no evidence that he was abusive, and not even any statements from people who knew them saying they thought he was. Domestic violence and emotional abuse are often hidden, insidious and incredibly damaging. And all the posts describing DV, how abusers work and the impact it can have on a person are spot on and I don’t mean to discount any of them. Just saying that may not have been the case here. Has there ever been a case like this where the spouse had no history of abuse and still killed his family?

John List. I don’t believe he abused his family until he killed them all one day. Macdonald, too. He ran around on Colette, but I don’t think he was otherwise emotionally or physically abusive.

I think he snapped over the financial stresses and took everybody out except himself which in itself is odd to me. I’m shocked this wasn’t murder x3 (4) suicide. But I also think a gf will be outed soon so really I’m just spinning gears trying to understand why he took out those precious baby girls.
