I think he snapped over the financial stresses and took everybody out except himself which in itself is odd to me. I’m shocked this wasn’t murder x3 (4) suicide. But I also think a gf will be outed soon so really I’m just spinning gears trying to understand why he took out those precious baby girls.

I'm sure he planned this. He had deactivated his FB account, he had scoped out an area to dispose of the bodies, he must have planned this for weeks. His reaction when she told him she was pregnant was so cold that you know he had been planning by then to kill her and the children.
As for why he did it? Because he's a self-centered selfish jackwad and he needs to be put in a cage for the rest of his life so he can't inflict any further damage on anyone else.

Her alleged comment to a friend last week that she worried he was cheating could also suggest some emotional distancing. He may have been cheating but also may have already been planning to murder his family.

So stumped that he would dispose of the bodies outside his work place! SW found in an open field (didn’t say she was even buried or covered up), and dumping the precious girls into the tanks that supposedly had alarms and possibly cameras??? This was not well th0ught out at all, I really don’t think he put much thought into this, on the cover up. Leads me to believe he never thought he’d get away with it. Also makes me think perhaps suicide WAS his plan, he just didn’t have the guts to go through with it so...

Stupidity doesn’t even start to explain his actions after he killed them...

He had to dispose of them somewhere not too far away so he'd be back in time for her return. We dont hear about him doing any hiking, hunting, or fishing off toward the west so the place he'd know the best, that would appear to be remote, and where he could surveille the most inconspicuously for LE activity would be near his workplace.

I completely agree! He acts so arrogant and over confident ...I believe he really thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. Those kind always make tons of mistakes. I just find him a repulsive and horrifying man. Look at those eyes in his arrest photo! ..they really are what nightmares are made of..

I saw a pic of SW w the killer standing behind her as she sat. He was looking down at her you could see pure evil in his eyes. What really gets me is that it appears SW was almost out of there!! She almost made it out of there w the girls I just can’t ..

And if they cant even pay the overdue HOA bill of $1554, how are they going to come up with $5800 as the baby's due date gets even closer?

I would love to have that tax bill! Our house is just under $300,000, and our real estate taxes are $10,000 a year!

I would suspect they had to have an escrow account to pay their taxes with a mortgage that size and with their less than stellar finances. Maybe I’m wrong. Do we know of any property tax delinquency? If they were paying them at time of the bill, I agree, that would have been difficult for them I bet.

Shanann was 15 weeks pregnant. It seems that she and CW had not spent a lot of time together.
I have a picture in my mind of CW sitting down with a calendar and remembering where they both were 15 weeks ago. He possibly couldn’t get the dates to work in his mind.
Just putting it out there. Apologies if previously mentioned.

O/T but I am having a difficult time trying to understand why SW became pregnant. Relationships are complicated of course. I do think SW did a lot of appeasing when it came to her husband. Examples are some of her FB pages. It seemed to me some of those posts were intentional to stroke his ego and make him feel important. The Chris is my ROCK post as one example. I think he was an insecure guy that needed frequent hand holding. I see her as more of a free spirit with a nurturing side. Sometimes people like this find each other...he is looking for a loving mom and she is looking for someone to care for and love. I just think he was needier then she had counted on so found herself taking on more just to placate him. Example, her post about her cleaning the house and taking care of the girls while he sat on the couch. Sounds like she put a lot of effort in being super woman to stiffle whatever complaining he may have been doing about her being away so much and in frequent communication with her people. Ya know, smoothing things over and giving him what he needs to allow her to do what she needed and wanted to do for herself.

I think the pregnancy may have been another concession on her part because people have stated here that having another baby was his idea. She seems like a great mom and love kids and maybe felt this would further appease him. She apparently loves and may have wanted to have more kids anyway so agreed. However it really went, I do see SW having made a habit of appeasing his apparently very fragile ego.

Another thing that bugs me about the oil tanks -- how did he manage to put those little girls in there (please excuse, but I want to know). Did he have to climb a ladder to the top or what? If so, that may be why he didn't do it with SW.

A few days ago, I was quite pleased to hear that CW confessed in a timely manner. I thought it meant that he was remorseful and he regretted what he had done. I even felt a little sad for him.

No more of that, after I found out about the oil tanks, imagining his evil hand grabbing and tossing his own beautiful babies into the tanks filled with hazardous liquid...

I checked to see if taxes were paid, but the website does not allow
this info to the public. Most likely taxes were paid in escrow to
mortgage company but we don't know if the mortgage was current
or in arrears also.

Long reported that dear girls were located in tanks but this is first news I've seen stating their bodies recovered....

Bodies believed to be Shanann Watts, Bella and Celeste have been recovered near each other, officials said while declining to say the location. Shanann Watts' body was found on property where Chris Watts worked, according to ABC affiliate KMGH-TV in Denver.
The daughters' bodies were found inside mostly full oil and gas tanks, sources told KMGH-TV.

Has anyone found a photo of these gas & oil tanks? Are they the big giant ones you walk up to with a ladder on the side of them or smaller?

I can't imagine... I know nothing at all about oil tanks, except that they look very large. In a way like a corn silo. If the girls <shiver> were put into a big tank like that, how did he get them in there? How are they opened and closed.Wouldn't he have had to have a ladder? Damm, it's so difficult to realize I am even talking about something like this.

Another question -- I guess I missed it -- how did LE know the location of Shanann and the girls -- did CW confess? Did the company discover it?

There is a photo of Anadarko oil tanks here, but I wouldn't assume they are "the" tanks. If you watch the videos linked below, you will see lot of them. I think he would have had to climb the ladder on the side.

In court proceedings it was stated that the house had been cleared and released. So I think the defense attorney would be fine to go back in. Probably trying to see if he could find anything that investigators missed. Moo

The spaghettios on the little couches watching tv.....I was just watching dumbfounded how he was being so ridiculousy arrogant when he just murdered 3 people, 2 of them his OWN kids and his pregnant wife.....and show ZERO REMORSE! And then smirk and laugh! I would think just the act of murdering them would have at the very least shook him up!! Awful.

He backed the truck into the garage, didn't he? That's what I thought I read.
(Reminds me of Brad Cooper when he cleaned out half of their garage several days before his wife's death at his hands -- he was quite the planner. IMO. The Cooper's garage hadn't been used to shelter their cars in a long time or ever, as I remember it. First degree murder? Oh, yes. A few years later, he made a deal rather than face a 2nd trial on appeal.)

If he had more hair on top and dyed it and his beard orange, he would look a lot like Scott Peterson, IMO, when he was arrested. He has the same look in his eyes.

But I will say this. I have a friend who sells Nerium and she got a Lexus. Lots of trips, etc...for realz.

I have a friend who I thought was making $$ all to find out SHE was the one who leased a BMW, and she went into debt buying fancy clothes & designer handbags, and going to MLM trips/conferences. Why? It was very strongly advised by her MLM that she appear wealthy, so folks thought she was making loads of $$ from the MLM, and then would sign up under her. In fact, she was broke. She lied and said the car and trips were all paid for by the company. She finally came clean with us, but wow, she really got scammed.
