I now believe there to be a hall closet immediately to the left of the front door (upon entry) AND a bathroom located farther down that same wall, across from the bonus room, just before the entry door to the main suite.

Final answer.

I think you're probably right, but what a ridiculous layout. Put the first floor "guest" bathroom all the way down the hall by the master suite door. I'm pretty sure the whole point of the master suite is to not have randos taking a leak by your bedroom door.

By talked do they mean actually spoke or made contact via text.

If it is by text ,did BM send a message or reply to one of hers?

I wonder if LE pointed out to MM the information they had already been given about the state of the marriage.
I wonder if that meant SPOKE to, also!
Reading the AA this interview would have been Sunday night on scene,
It first lists the Officers interview with the boyfriend of MM2, then says she next interviews MM1, and then she interviews MM2.
I doubt the Officer would point out any inconsistencies at that time. IMO
I believe I heard or read that there were no further interviews with MM1.

It seems she may have been in denial from the start about her parents marriage ( or she chose a side). JMO

There’s a chance that perhaps she didn’t see or hear everything MM2 did since she was not living at home, I guess.

We've got 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths -- if that's accurate, that first floor bonus room room must be the half bath. Then the main suite/bath, leaving two full baths for upstairs. The bonus room has NO WALL and likely no closet so it's not a bedroom by any stretch. Therefore, the half bath is a powder room for guests by day.

UNLESS the poster upthread is correct and the early listing confirms that hall bath as a full bath, reducing the upstairs bathroom census to one, shared between two bedrooms, leaving a half bath floating somewhere within those walls. Probably off the kitchen somewhere. Levitating loo in the pantry,

This house brought to you by the stylings of M.C. Escher.

I cannot believe that (a) the marriage problems only started after MM went to college and even then she would be home for holidays and (b) MM2 never discussed how she hated the constant arguments.

Oh I totally agree. We have SM texts to SO about BM bringing the girls into their arguments.
And we have BM’s statements to LE.

“ I just needed someone on my side “ jumps out at me.

And he admits that SM never forgave him.

I think they weren't arguing all the time. Easy to imagine that at the holidays or the times the older daughter were home there would be "peace" in the home. We aren't seeing their entire life 24/7 year upon year we are seeing bits and pieces that support either prosecution or defense of a highly condensed timeline. It's as if both have become caricatures of the humans they were.

This floor plan makes me crazy. It's like a mystery house trying to figure out which door goes where. Doors opening onto brick walls, doors into extra-dimensions where wives disappear to ...
I think we can confirm that PP had at least 4 full bathrooms per the last listing. IMO, there are two upstairs and two on the first level. I would not be surprised if there's also a 1/4 1/2 bath (toilet/sink) near the laundry room which often does not make the listing info for some obscure MLS rule.

Overview
Stunning mountain home ON THE RIVER!! Borders the San Isabel National Forest! This is ONE OF A KIND! 3BR, 4BA, 3car Oversized Garage & 3256sf of living space on 7.72 acres.

Beautiful, spacious, master suite with 2 large walk in closets and a luxurious 5 piece bath!

Each [upstairs MM1/MM2] guest room w/ Full bathroom!

Kitchen has all the fine finishes & is open to the great room. Designated dining area. This is a perfect floor plan for entertaining family and friends.

Office area off of the kitchen with built in desk and custom cabinetry. A great size bonus room for recreation, extra TV/Sitting room or fitness area!

Mudroom entry from garage with big storage closet and a separate laundry room with nice stainless steel utility sink. [I'd expect a toilet/sink in this area when you enter the residence from the garage as it's human nature to get the door open and immediately void or wet your pants]!

House has up to date finishes from light fixtures, to top of the line sound system indoors and out!

Great room features floor to ceiling full logs & windows that invite the outdoors in! The gorgeous log beams, hand scribed Hickory floors, a substantial, custom made Elk chandelier and a very impressive floor to ceiling sand stone fireplace is the focal point of this amazing room!

French doors lead out to a stamped concrete patio entertaining space with built in Kitchen area, the sound & view of the Little Arkansas River & lush alpine forest fills the air!! Natural stone staircase leads down to park like setting along the river, perfect for fishing or just relaxing! Stunning snowcapped views from every room and outdoor space! Large, Spa Hot tub. Fully landscaped, Only 15 minutes to Monarch Ski Resort or downtown Salida! Perfect for vacation or Year Round Living! Serious rental income potential. A new privacy gate has recently been installed on Puma Path, it will be electronic open. HOA covers road maintenance and all snow removal.

ETA: Add photo link. Please see the very last photo at Trulia link -- I think this might be the toilet/sink (1/2 BA) off the mudroom/laundry I referenced which is not included in 4 BA listing.

Some suggested upgrades and revisions:

"Steel reinforced bedroom door to keep out would-be murderers."

"Site of only one homicide!"

"Previous owner is only a stone's throw away in case any issues arise."

"Community dumpster to dispose of trash, and potentially meet your future wife."

Sheriff's body cam video reveals first hours of Suzanne Morphew mystery

14:47 in the extended compilation --

Does Barry say, as he points to Suzanne's clothes, "I didn't touch anything down there"?

Why would he feel compelled to volunteer that?

Seems odd.

JMO
It sounds to me like BM and the Officer are speaking at the same time, talking over each other.
Officer says “ don’t touch anything “
BM points and says “ anything down there”
at the same time.
JMO

Huh? There's no reference to travel in OP's post.

"direction of travel" = where the questioning is heading

The State appears to be pointing out in the objection that the question is out of scope. The defence answers this objection (and judge allows)

But it's not obvious from the answer, what is the purpose. The witness is asked to concede some oblique point, which only appears to emphasise the motive for the murder.
