I'm a little slow, it just dawned on me the reason he put his phone in airplane mode instead of just leaving it at home. As an avid hunter I'm sure he used OnX Hunt and you can save offline maps that show roads, property boundaries, state, federal, and forest land. I'm guessing he used OnX to navigate to where he left Suzanne's body.

Another startement from IE - even more inappropriate than the first statement. Venom and toxic fumes. Save it IE. Your client has not yet been arrested.

The beginning of her statement :

“The first and most important focus should be that the Morphew’s just learned that they lost their beautiful mother and wife after she disappeared 3 ½ years ago.

What appears to be the overriding focus is a finger pointing right back where it started 3 ½ years ago: a movement to blindly re-accuse Barry for Suzanne’s death.

And then she is off and running from there - asking for an independent investigation etc - trying to connect Suzanne with the other victims found in that area etc -

Shameless finger pointing at LE and really making her client look more guilty than ever - she going for a total double down ! Color me - not surprised

ALL IMO
I haven’t heard one word from law enforcement pointing the finger at Barry this week. General public-sure. Walks like a duck..

13 Investigates learned her remains were found along the side of the road near mile marker 103 on Highway 17 - roughly 50 minutes south of her Salida home.

It's hunting grounds.
he probably knew it very well.

Objective was to get her as far as possible from the property but he followed true crime, didn't he and possibly knew it likely he'd be fully investigated.

Not sure how shallow is shallow, really.
wondering whether it had been quite dense at one stage and erosion changed it..?
Anything less than 6 feet is liable to get dug up

This is an older post, but no, the evidence only points one way, and it is not fueled by a dislike of Barry. In fact, I’d argue the opposite, that evidence is ignored because people find something likable about him.

Innocent people have no reason to lie about anything, and Barry lied about everything.

She asks for a divorce, and he tells investigators they have the perfect marriage.

She goes dark forever when he's the only one there, and he tells an insane story about that night that is contradicted by his phone, her phone, his truck, and his own conflicting stories. Then her phone last pings just before he left the house.

Then he drives to Broomfield for no reason, dumps trash, spends hours in his hotel, lies about his movements, lies to the Ritters when they call him (before he should have known a crime was committed, he lied, saying he was at the wall with his workers), he lies to CBI multiple times, and is literally caught on camera staging his alibi.

He admits to a frantic event in the backyard, confirms he used a tranquilizer (deer antler lie), places himself at the helmet location, deletes texts, and lies some more.

One of my favorite lies is when he said he and Suzanne had lunch together, eating veggie soup, which was actually a day or two before.

His phone, his truck data, and Suzanne's texts to JL about being alone, soundly refute this. Further evidence comes from a phone call Barry placed to Suzanne shortly after leaving, which makes no sense as they just spent a couple hours together.

To explain all of this, Barry claims he was looking for a long dead turkey in the backyard.

All of his lies are blown apart by multiple pieces of evidence, and every single one must be believed in order for Barry to be
innocent.

So you'd have to believe Barry was chasing chipmunks, looking for a turkey corpse, framed by a herd of elk that don’t herd that time of year, shooting deer that don't even have antlers to saw their antlers off, and looking for a bear or coyote in the darkness when Suzanne's Facebook requests went out.

Even then there are other pieces of evidence that must be explained:

You'd have to believe Barry and Suzanne breaking all established digital patterns means nothing (she is completely quiet and his location event count is off the charts)

That Suzanne went on a bike ride in a strange location that she had never ridden, without things she would always bring, and with a powered down cell phone that she never bothered to check on Mother's Day, with her daughters traveling home, on the day of her best friend's daughter’s wedding.

Barry had had the motive, means, and opportunity. He tells us why he did it, and he tells us how he justified it to himself.

Basically, "God judges Suzanne for cheating, and I had every right to do it."

Barry is a pathological liar, a fake Christian, a confirmed abuser (psychologically controlled Suzanne via threats of suicide), and a killer.

He just got one thing right...

UPDATE: Nope, he screwed that up too.
Mass Guy - thank you so much for the time, energy and thought you put into summarizing so much of what has transpired. You appear to be very objective and fair minded. My husband thinks I’m crazy for saying he’s guilty (I’ve followed since the beginning) but I told him there are people in Websleuth’s that have knowledge and experience. I needed this info. Last night hehe

“Along the side of the road” is strange wording. To me that implies within 50’ or so of a road. How could he have dug any kind of grave without worrying a car would pass and see him? That area is so incredibly flat. The vegetation can’t be more than 2’ tall, either. Or, are they referring to what looks like a side “road” off that main road?

Not SH 17 but the untraveled road marked by MP 103 -- see link below!

I do not believe his silver ford truck was used to transport her body but I am now curious about the other cars... On the arrest affidavit page 31 and 32. It says “On May 16, 2020 CCSO seized the two Range Rovers located in the garage at the Morphew’s residence. The vehicles were towed and taken to the CCSO secure impound facility to secure them for further evidence processing. On May 20th, 2020 your affiant spike with FBI Special Agent Dave Donati regarding the 2007 Range Rover and the 2015 Range Rover Telematics. SA Donate explained the 2007 Range Rover would not contain telematic information but the 2015 may contain this date. On April 29 2021, SA Grusing advised that the results of the examination by the FBI’s technology division for the 2015 Range Rover have not been completed.” I would be very curious if they still have access to pull those records. Also.. Didn't Barry sell one of the Range Rovers right after Suzanne's murder.....? Like he was trying to get rid of it...

Edit: Maybe LE wasn't focusing on those two RR vehicles at the time and they might have dismissed them figuring he used his truck and/or quad type vehicle.

IMO

Sorry to read you're feeling under the weather @Love Never Fails. I think you'll find most of the news worthy of reading linked below in the MEDIA ONLY THREAD. Hope this helps you access the latest news on recovering SM. Cheers, and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thanks Seattle. My mind isn’t working yet. Had surgery. Painful recovery. Forgot about media thread. Forgot google too. When I heard Suzanne was found, I came here because y’all have been following case from the beginning. I’m praying for Justice for her.

I think you possibly have to widen the circle to understand any other vehicles that may have been accessible to him. He looked after/ploughed/prop management, his neighbors place when they were not there. I cannot remember their name. SD was their cleaning lady and the daughter's name is Gusty. My bet is that there were cars/trucks of some sort available there right across the river from his place in Monarch eatates. Worth a look by LE.
JMO
How about his daughters' vehicles? They were away camping.
