If LE knows that a SA's dna was in the glove compartment, how do they NOT know who he is? Wouldn't he be in a national database?
Or, is that a rumor, that the dna is from a registered SA or just an unidentified male or female?
DNA could be touch, not necessarily fluids.
I also highly doubt Suzanne had another person over on any given day. Doesn't have to have been on Mother's Day.

I thought they said it was "markers" that matched more than one man. I wish we could actually see what was shown (scientifically).

Anthing is possible. I have been thinking about LandManatee's thought, and I think it is a good possibility.

I personally think it would be very uncertain to toss a bike down a slope and make it look like it crashed. You would need some weight on the bike for it to travel very far down the slope. With no weight on it, it could very well just land a little way down and in a flat 'tossed' position. Possibly landing so that it is not even facing downwards.

Perhaps the bike was staged from the bottom of the slope. And perhaps, surrepetiously, in the daylight/twilight/early dawn ... so he could see what he was doing. That the staging looked adequate (to him).

I think he was very, very angry at that moment. I'm not sure he thought too much about how to do it.

I
n the Unmasked YouTube last Friday night LS said that they said DNA Markers in court.

Possibly. At the moment, I am in the camp that this was a planned murder - not spontaneous rage.
Yeah. He’s been charged with first degree murder, which means that we should hear about evidence that this was planned.

I say that, despite initially believing this may have been a crime of passion.

This evidence could come in the form of Google searches, purchases, or comments he made to others. There’s got to be something substantial coming.

1. Yes, the meds were named in court. He mispronounced clonazepam, but pretty sure that's what he meant. All these meds would make sense in SMs condition and situation. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that is meant for short-term use only. It is often prescribed as needed for anxiety and sometimes sleep. Mirtazapine is a antidepressant that is often used for sleep at lower doses. At higher doses it is very effective for depression and anxiety. We use it a lot in our oncology pts as it can improve appetite. Hydrocodone is a pain medication.
2. In the photo we saw, her chest was covered. Her hair covered her shoulders, so didn't see straps, but not naked in that particular photo. She looked stunning! I don't think that it was discussed when the nudes were sent.
3. Nope, just that her bed was stripped, nothing more. And that no blood was found in her room (or anywhere else).
4. Yes, i agree completely. Not surprisingly, the defense spent quite a bit of time on Equator hoping to plant the seed ... Yeah, that was classic. The way she asked the question was unforgettable. Dry, a bit sarcastic... And then she said No further questions if I remember correctly. I like her style!

Please know this is MOO. I could have misinterpreted some things.
Thanks NoSi there is so much to contemplate now, from your notes. The meds play an interesting part for me (I’m an information junkie who wants to know everything so I can understand). Suzanne wasn’t some happy go lucky woman having an affair. She was on antidepressants and pain meds, living with a man whose comment on seeing her last photo was that she had “drunk eyes”. What a guy. I wonder who prescribed her meds-her oncologist, her GP, did she have a therapist? Maybe taking the edge off enabled her to go about her day to day in her gilded cage.

Yes, I think a few significant things will come into play.

One thing I noticed in NoSI's (excellent) document is a bit more clarity on timing ...

"May 6th - SM drops MalM off in Gunnison, Colorado for school. Then it’s only SM and BM."

On the third day after that, Suzanne is dead.

@NoSI notes say that after Deputy heard from the Ritters, he tried reaching BM twice! Once, unsuccessfully, at 5:58pm (which we know BM alert hotel room around 5:55pm and dropped off tools at front desk around 5:58pm). The 2nd attempt to connect w BM was at 7:10pm. Interesting!
Once they find the bike, he says “he’s pretty emotional right now.” Unconfirmed he’s referring to BM (who isn’t there yet), but it’s a safe assumption that’s who he’s talking about. Too bad we don’t have that conversation recorded.

ETA thank you @NoSI for these wonderful notes!!

Also ..... (from NoSI's document)

"Discussion about SM not working and being a homemaker. “Being paid back” refers to “inheritance that was used to purchase house”. Some of the inheritance may have also been used in an investment."

What is this investment? Suzanne's funds management account? With BM potentially as surviving spouse, claiming to be the beneficiary?

If Suzanne had any significant money in her name, and could claim half (or more) ownership of the house, BM wouldn't be left with too much money if Suzanne left and divorced him.

She may have been on mirtazapine for sleep or to increase appetite in context of cancer treatment. It would have helped to know her prescribed dosage. Depression is very common in oncology pts. Based on research, up to 25% of struggle with depression. And then put her situation at home on top of it. Breaks my heart!

When BM looked at the picture of SM and stated that she looked like she had drunk eyes, he was likely flashing back to the last time he saw her alive, after hitting her with a tranquilizer dart. She would look like she had drunk eyes. Horrendous does not even come close to describe his alleged actions.

He didn’t even ask where’s my wife did you find her.
And it’s on body cam.

In another body cam video, Barry Morphew is emotional and seen talking with deputies. He's heard saying Suzanne bikes every day and was asleep when he left the home that day.

It is dusk. The deputies are perplexed as to how the bike could get here. We hear their chatter.

“I don't know if she was coming down and lost control or got exhausted and fell over the edge.” It is dusk. Very tough terrain with logs, grass, hills, rocks.

Here ya go.

TYVM @OldCop - That map clarifies my thoughts for me. The bike was found in the complete other direction from where the trailer park is located it seems. So if according to the information in the tweet, BM was walking towards the trailer park during his time home for lunch on 5/9, it’s not likely he was scoping out a place to stage the bike. I was just curious about the location of the trailer park to their home and where the bike was found.

There's nothing "nasty" about codeine plus tylenol, which is used worldwide as a bastion against pain.

Cancer can cause pain. I hope we can lose the judgmentalism about pain medication.

I can vouch for this. Cancer survivor here. When I had it they gave me the most powerful pain killers they had and gave me as much as I needed. I still struggle with pain issues and have meds prescribed to me every month. It's criminal how people view that, including those in the medical profession.

The most astonishing part of this is the theory BM doesn’t offer - that his wife left him! Barry himself does not even suggest it. Yet his defense will have us believe that’s exactly what happened - that Suzanne left and went to Ecuador.

First I've learned of all of these. These raise MAJOR red flags!! He's trying to tell a story here with no concern for his missing wife. If I've learned anything from watching these trials and cases is that when someone is more concerned about telling a story then they are about the condition of the person who is missing, that's an indication that something isn't quite right here, IMO. Did he ask if they checked further up the trail? Down the trail? What about across the street? Not one mention of anything around the bike area that could be a concern about her health. Very shady.

Personally I think BM's comment about "drunk eyes" was him throwing some shade SM's way.
