I haven’t spoken with them directly but I’ve asked about them each time. He says it’s just very hard on everybody and you can hear it in his voice when he is talking to ya.”

He describes the Morphew’s as the sweetest people you’d ever meet. Skinner said Suzanne would talk to you like you were the only person in the room. He added that there were never cracks in the relationship.

“If Barry was involved, he would get his punishment and that’s the way it should be, but I would lose all faith in humanity because he just doesn’t have that in him,” Skinner said.”

“They are restricting information intentionally to preserve the integrity of the case based on information that they may have that they do not want to be released,” Corsentino explained. “They want to be very methodical in what they are looking for any hair particle, any type of blood splatter, any type of semen, anything at all that they are afraid that they missed and they might go through the house with an ID specialist or a forensic specialist and the next day they might use a different forensic specialist to make sure nothing was missing whatsoever.”

Testing from the 3-day search on a construction site would have been done fairly immediately Corsentino said. He explained that forensic testing would take 72 hours depending on the intensity of the search. Corsentino believes the timing of Suzanne’s disappearance is especially unusual.

“So who was celebrating mother’s day with Suzanne? And you would think that would be a day of celebration with her,” he said.

Corsentino explains that those working on the case have questioned family members, friends, and any witnesses in the community multiple times. He also wasn’t aware of any Colorado private detective or investigator working with Barry.

“It becomes a big jigsaw puzzle and you have to put that puzzle together based on information that is consistent,” Corsentino said.

The community remains puzzled as the case goes into the third month.

“I think the best thing the family can do right now is trust law enforcement,” Corsentino said.

“We just keep praying that there is a happy ending involved,” Skinner added.”

It's strange that the same day the FBI is going back to search the Morphews home we have 2 new people suddenly in the mix. The family friend and the PI. After all of these weeks of silence ..tonight they both decide to speak out. Coincidence?

I believe the coincidence is the 60 day anniversary tomorrow. From my experience with reporter LS, she coordinated her report to provide both a family supporter and an unrelated LE opinion side by side. I very much respect her work. MOO

If I had a dollar, for every case I've ever followed that close friends of the main POI (whether named or not) said the exact same thing and then BLAMMO, that person is arrested... well, I'd have a massive pile of dollars.

Clearly, people "have it them" in spades, since this kind of thing happens ALL the time.

Also, I recognize Dan Corsentino's name but I'm not sure from which case I followed.

I remember Corsentino being interviewed about his opinions on the Gannon Stauch case when it was at kind of the point this case seems to be ( many searches, no POI yet named). He’s also spoken before on this case back on May 18.

What happens when other people form an entirely different opinion? Not trying to be difficult, but I have a pretty good bs meter and do well w/ most of my character assessments. I had a totally different take on the video, but I still wouldn’t have formed an opinion, from that short video. While I might take note of other opinions, such as those of friends and relatives who have known him much longer, I would still use my own perceptions to form my opinion.

IMO, I would sure hate for my whole life’s behavior to be judged on some of my worst public performances. At least let it be one of my better ones, lol.

Opinion based on: Barry consistently shaking his head no while he spoke in the 26 second video, Barry paying out the reward only in the event of Suzanne’s safe return, Barry’s failure to coordinate his reward through Crime Stoppers or LE, Barry’s absence during Suzanne’s Mother’s Day disappearance, Barry didn’t call 911 and had the neighbor call instead, Barry’s conflicting alibis of ff training and then changing the alibi to working on a job site, Barry’s disparagement of LE on TD video, Barry’s dodging and ultimately not answering TD’s question regarding when he had last spoken to Suzanne, Barry’s recounting to TD that he had been cleared by LE, Barry’s relative who said that Barry had been in control of what happened for a long time, Barry’s threat to TD if he was media, Barry’s Get Money page asking the public for money, Barry’s guardianship request due to Suzanne’s incapacitation, Barry’s lack of attempts and lack of public appeals to find his wife, Barry waiting one week before making the 26 second video and then saying it was too soon, Barry’s ridiculous supposition of a mountain lion attack as the cause of Suzanne’s disappearance, Barry’s supposition that Suzanne was hit by a car or had a bike accident which resulted in her getting in the river, Barry’s work site being excavated by LE, Barry’s physical altercation at an Indiana job site that resulted in legal action, LE second search of the Morphew property, LE refusal to clear Barry.

Surely, there is additional behavior from Barry that’s suspicious; but this is just off the top of my head. IMO.

I don't think the friend's conversation with SM about her bike rides alone strange.

Skinner's aware that BM is frequently a distance from home for work and daughters most likely in school during SM's daytime rides.

Skinner has been to the Morphew home. The home is considered remote (modern Little House on the Prairie), and although the bike trails are near the home, they are a good distance from town and passerby traffic. We also know from locals (and reporters) that there's little if no mobile service in the area.

Personally, I could see myself asking the same question of SM or at a minimum-- assuring myself that she had an emergency plan for an accident, injury, threat, or unexpected event. Living many years in Alaska, I probably wouldn't ride there alone and would have to settle with riding half the time I'd like using a buddy system.

And if you're unaware, it was August 13, 2014 that the FCC began implementing the "Text-to-911 " service and established an initial deadline of December 31, 2014 for all covered text providers to be capable of supporting text-to-911 service.

This means there's actually a digital code for every Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP call center) (including Salida, Co), where emergency calls (like police, fire brigade, ambulance) initiated by any mobile or landline subscriber are terminated.

PSAP coding enables you to dial 911 from anywhere and give the dispatcher the code for the emergency locale you want to reach or they can look it up and connect you. It's that simple. Of course, you can still call the non-emergency number for Salida from anywhere for the same result.

Seriously, can't imagine a volunteer firefighter would not at least know how to google the non-emergency number for Salida.
