Doing some math here - because its been bugging me that they keep saying he had no connection to the school. I have heard that he did attend there - so let's do the math


The family moved there in 1998.

He was born in 1992.

So he was around 6 - 7 when they moved there.

I'm willing to bet that he did go to elementary school there. I think he went to a pricate Catholic school for middle school - not really sure. He did go to the public high school - we've heard from some of his classmates.

I've really been thinking that the connection was the school psychologist. She was working there at that time. The principal had only been there the past few years.

What if it was Mrs. Sherlach (psychologist) that was the very first to talk to mom about possible testing for him. That he looked at her and that school as the beginning of all his trouble. IDK - just thinking with my hands here....................

wow there certainly is alot of discussion in forums all over the world about her being a "doomsday prepper". I am wondering if her son had the same "world in economic turmoil" beliefs.......some would have had to have rubbed of on him considering the only person it looks like he had seen for a while was his mother. His isolation could not have been good for such thoughts, but it still does not answer: why the little children at the school??? After reading what he shot his mother with I am convinced it was an odd relationship....I dont mean incest, no no....I mean maybe an over protective or controlling relationship. I just keep thinking of the movie Carrie.....

I believe the report that he argued with teachers the day prior was erroneous.

Geez, I can't believe all the misinformation. What is the press going to say next?..."We have now learned that the mother only collected squirt guns."

I've been looking for any reference to any precipitating event(s). I think this possibly the only quote I've seen at this point:

IMO, she couldn't reach him because he had slipped into psychosis.

(Call an ambulance if you can't load your psychotic loved one into your car or if you are afraid to drive with them to the hospital. You don't have to be a martyr mom. Get help.)

Or he could have become more withdrawn because he was deep into his plans. Not every mass shooter is psychotic.

is there something horrible that precedes this slipping into psychosis?..or can this literally just gradually with no overt act or event having occurred, that they just slip into this psychosis?

I saw on one of the links that analyzes school shootings that they think based on the type of crime and the fact that he killed a parent that there is a good chance it was psychosis.

I am confused too about which classes the kids came from and how big the classes were and if any students from either class made it out. I thought it was a kindergarten class based on all the first articles about it but it sounds like it was actually 2 first grade classrooms? Then some say she hid all the children and told him they were in gym and others say she shielded students with her body and some were hidden.

I just got sent this link to this video where they talk about the guy they caught in the woods from a person who witnessed LE walking by with the guy? Edited to add, I don't mean the guy talking but the one he is referring to who was in the LE car.

Is this the reported father that was there that day to make gingerbread houses and ran away? I could never run away from where there was shooting if my child was in the school.

This ^^^ is what scares me about video games. My DS plays some very violent games and he is not a killer. But he is not devoting his entire life to playing these games. He has a job, goes to school full time and has a steady girlfriend. I think the problem comes when kids are spending 18 hours a day playing these games and are isolated from normal human contact.

Adam's mom said he would not allow her to touch him, and there are other reports that he could not feel pain, when hurt physically or emotionally. So he was LIVING a video game existence, imo. He was existing in a cyber world, and shunning human contact and human connections.

Anytime a kid become totally isolated and gets sucked into the violent cyberworld, and shuns human contact, they are in deep trouble and so are we, imo.

Sounds like the bar was more of a restaurant and at many places like that, you often go to the bar to get your pickup order. Usually you have to wait a bit for your order so you sit and the bar and wait. If you go there often enough, you get to know the regulars there, even if you don't drink alcohol.
Adam may have been a picky eater so she went there because she knew he liked the food there (or maybe she did). I don't see anything particularly alarming about her being there because it has been described as more of a restaurant by a WS poster here who is familiar with the place.
