She revealed how her own father shut out one of his other daughters at a young age and lived a ‘secret life’ until his past came out.

He ‘turned his back’ on baby Cheryl when he remarried and moved away from his home in Ohio to New Hampshire.

There he started afresh and gave birth to Nancy Lanza whose son Adam killed 28 people including himself and Nancy on Friday during his school rampage in Sandy Hook Elementary School, Connecticut.

In a Facebook message to a relative just two months earlier Nancy spoke in candid terms about her family and said: ‘Yes, life is funny and strange. Lies people tell and try to live in those lies. Sad’.

I am wondering if in his state of mind and not being out or driving that much, if he just remembered how to get to Sandy Hook from having attended there. Just a thought. And of course I don't think we will ever know. jmo

There are just so many questions and AL held all the answers. We may never know what really made him go off. Sigh

I guess the Medical Examiner did not give TOD or did he and I missed it?

Sources said she was sleeping (CNN). Not sure who their sources are. They said she was in bed in her pajamas so I'm guessing that's how they arrived at that conclusion.

Seen this story earlier, is this a picture of AL? If so it seems probably the most current of his age now?

I think the Lanza family is waiting for all other funerals to have been done. IMO

If someone would claim the bodies, they could arrange a completely private burial or cremation out of the area that wouldn't upset those who lost their loved ones.

To be honest with you, if this were my mother and my brother, I would go back and forth about whether to claim them, and I probably wouldn't claim his body at all.

Fawn Hollow Elementary school is actually in Monroe CT but it is very close as you say.

Thanks for clarifying that it'd actually have been another district.. as I just simply typed in the home addy and then from shortest distance all elementary schools in the addys immediate vicinity(tho, if I'm not mistaken I actually believe a few of the schools it pulled up were not elementary schools).. anyhow, all in all its my personal opinion that Sandy Hook was the elementary school for his district, it was a school he had at one time attended(tho, for only one school year 5th grade IIRC), as well as it also appears to basically be the closest ELEMENTARY school to the home(with the exception of Fawn Hollow Elementary that is basically one-tenth of a mile closer..which IMO isnt even enough to be relevant, especially combined with the fact you shared of it actually being in another district)..

IMO Sandy Hook unfortunately makes the most sense..if you dare even to attempt to decipher there being actually anything remotely logical about this entire horrific event..jmo.

I don't think we'll ever know the truth. Everything will be speculative. He's dead.

They will have experts examining every piece of his life. Toxicology tests may help with one piece of the puzzle but even if they find drugs (legal or illegal), it may only leave us with more questions.

This was a few years ago but I don't think many of the family knew. She wasn't someone to make a fuss. She accepted life as it was.

‘Over the last year she suddenly seemed to be traveling a lot. I know she went to England and was all over the US.

‘There was no sign her health was getting worse. She still looked beautiful, so full of life, but maybe she felt time was running out.’

The Facebook conversation seems to back this up. On October 9, Nancy wrote to Marsha that she had been to ‘a little bit of everywhere’.

She wrote: ‘Boston, New York, Maine, Toronto, London, San Francisco, Nantucket, Charlotte, Baltimore...that covers this year : )’

Nancy also talked about wanting to move to a smaller house but did not want to sell her home at a loss.

I have spent the entire day surrounded by kids. Kindergardners and first graders specifically. Their Christmas program was tonight. The mood was actually improved, I think, by the two sheriff's deputies stationed outside and the 5-6 teachers and district security personnel screening people at the door.

There was a moment of silence held before the program, a brief acknowledgment of the families that were grieving this holiday season. The program itself was beautiful, and even though enrollment is down this year as compared to others, the turnout was record. Standing room only. I think everyone needed to see happy, living, vibrant kids after all the media saturation.

Did I miss anything today, in terms of real news? I swore off the news and all media coverage for the day, and now I find myself having withdrawals.

Doesn't look like RL either. RL has dark hair. Maybe it's NL's brother? I think he kind of resembles NL.

I have some friends who have a "difficult" child (he just turned 21) and they actually made the comment, "We wonder what happened to that sweet little six year old boy..." just the other day - Thursday in fact. I wonder if NL said something like that to AL?

With AL shooting NL in the head/face four times, it definitely looks like he was not happy with the woman who, by all accounts, lived her life for him. I wonder if he was content to be totally dependent on her and was upset at the idea of having to become an adult? I also wonder if he played the guilt card and manipulated NL and she caught on to him? How I wish this woman would have confided in someone who could provide answers or could have provided her with guidance.

I fear though that we will never learn what happened between AL and NL and what led AL to Sandy Hook Elementary that morning.

Has it been said if he destroyed all of his electronic gaming equipment? If he played on Xbox or PS3, he would have a gamertag and if he was playing mass shooter games, I'm sure he had an online persona.
