I think China has to be given credit for implementing a lockdown quarantine that undoubtedly saved lives.

Obviously, we still have lots of questions about how this all started and what happened to the early alarms ( like from the late great Dr. Li who warned about the new virus and died from it).

But if China had not enforced their quarantines and stopped their flights, tourism, internal travel, etc. I believe the world would have been inundated with active cases much earlier and we would still be tracing thousands of deaths, rather than hundreds.

Agreed. They couldn’t stop it, but they bought the rest of the world some valuable time to prepare. I hope that time was used wisely.

Mall and hotel officials were notified of the exposure and a deep cleaning is recommended for both sites. The risk of exposure remains low, officials stressed.
If the exposure is really low, why did the Mayor have a coronary and on a tear screaming at the CDC????
Watch actions....not words....

IMO...it has been squandered in a massive way...

Each country is responding to the WHO advice in their own way. Some countries seem to have dropped the ball, perhaps thinking that the virus is an Asia problem, while others are still working hard to test and contain.

So far, we know that Iran, Italy, South Korea dropped the ball, it looks like Egypt did as well. We'll learn more this week about which other countries did not take it seriously.
