My only experience with antivirals is acyclovir. I realized that I was having a flare-up because I had it before and got myself to a doctor in the requisite 3-day window in which it is considered to be effective. She agreed and prescribed it. In my opinion, purely anecdotal, it helped reduced the time and severity of my symptoms.

One thing to keep in mind, no one truly knows when CV19 really first got here, they only know the first positive patient. So, how many of us had it, or had been exposed & actually passed it to someone else. Imo, it is imperative to remember most people will recover from home, they will not require hospitalization. Moo based on reading cdc

Denver offers drive-up coronavirus testing

Colorado health officials will offer a drive-up testing lab for novel coronavirus in Denver.

The service will be available starting today.

"Individuals must have an order from their doctor confirming they meet the testing criteria and need to be tested, and photo identification that matches the name on the doctor’s order," a department statement said.

Depending on test volume, results will be made available within 72 hours. Individuals getting tested should stay at home while awaiting results, the statement said.

Kentucky governor urges churches to cancel services

"I know that that’s a big step, I know that some won’t agree with it. But I believe that it’s our job to offer those protections, that we have a lot of opportunity for virtual services," he said.
He said they "have a lot of opportunity for virtual services" and noted he's canceling a weekend prayer breakfast.

"I don’t believe that whether you go to church during this period of time is a test of faith. I believe God gives us wisdom to protect each other and we should do that," he said.

Did I just hear that correctly? World Health Organization just declared it a pandemic pandemic. I I'm driving and I can't reverse it while I am driving to listen to it again.

Yep. P word.

It’s just a word remember.

P word doesn’t mean panic. Because you should’ve been panicking a long time ago hahahaha JUST KIDDING Do not panic!
Remember first one to panic gets band camp.

Oh wait that was our moderator...

Just kidding!

I deal with everything via humor. Especially life and death situations.

omg how will persons tested be monitored so they are not out & about? Imo, human nature will prompt anyone tested to run to the grocery, maybe a restaurant, etc. If they fall into the category of a person eligible for testing, they must be away from public! I don’t see everyone following self quarantine.

Hopefully Canada can source ventilators and build ICU units as fast as China.
We are sighhh self quarantine. We had our first death in bc Monday or Tuesday we are going to see more people getting sick.they are testing people 9 more were positive in bc yesterday this is going to spread and I dont think we are going to be ready

'Lack of resolve' in some countries, says WHO

Tedros says it is a “crisis that affects every sector”.

The WHO director-general says:

This is everybody’s business.

He says looking at the number of cases reported and number of countries affected “doesn’t tell the full story”.

All countries can still change the course of this pandemic.

Swift action can prevent larger clusters and community transmission and even if they fail to do so “they can turn the tide”.

The challenge is not whether countries can change the course of the virus but whether they will, Tedros says.

He says come countries are struggling with a lack of capacity but says some are struggling with a lack of resolve.

There have been hundreds of links with information about the mortality rate of this virus in the 19 threads that have been posted. With the current numbers available of the people infected, the mortality rate is much higher than that of the seasonal flu. To clarify, more people may get the flu annually, but of those who get COVID-19 a higher percentage will die.
