Yes, there are many corona virus, and not only species that cause infections among humans. There are corona viruses among different avian and mammal species, and the virus is usually species specific, but here have been when it has crossed over to other species, like SARS, MERS and now SARS-CoV-2. Some of those "cross-overs" happened a long time ago, it's not a new phenomenon. India registers first coronavirus death
India has registered its first coronavirus death: a 76-year-old man in Karnataka who had fallen sick on returning to India on 29 February after a pilgrimage to Mecca. He died on Tuesday and was later confirmed to have tested positive. Officials are tracing all the people he came into contact with.

Just speculation... It takes people to keep the power grid operation. The power company employees can/will become sick,this will could have an impact.
Power companies "share" employees during mass outages, use a lot of contract workers, etc. These employees /contract folks can and are on the move from state to state. Some will become sick, quarantined or chose not to work to protect themselves and family.

The test is supposed to be unpleasant. Maybe they opted out because of that, considering they are going to be quarantined and monitored for symptoms anyway.Why would they refuse to take a test?
