Slightly O/T, but I just came back from a quick run to my local market and ended up using two plastic produce bags as “gloves” to hold my cart handle. I rocked the style with pride :)

I was in the hospital for 3 days bout 6 years ago pneumonia, asked nurse how did I get it, said could have been shopping cart handle, been wiping them down ever since.

You can wrap your hair and face in a scarf. That won't stop you from inhaling germs, but it can stop you from touching your nose and mouth. The regular masks don't stop the virus anyway.
I don't believe what we are being told about the surgical masks. They do offer at least some protection. But you really need a N95 or N99 and those would protect for sure.
But think about that-we are being told that if somebody has covid, that person wearing surgical mask would protect others.
Since people often don't even know they have it, wouldn't everyone wearing a mask protect everybody?
You see in Asia a lot of people are wearing masks. And they are the countries that seemed to have been able to flatten the curve so far.

UW Medicine is conducting drive-thru testing in a hospital parking garage and has screened hundreds of staff members, faculty and trainees for the COVID-19 coronavirus. Here it comes. Lockdown.

Get ready folks.

Martial Law on the way moo:

1 : the law applied in occupied territory by the military authority of the occupying power. 2 : the lawadministered by military forces that is invoked by a government in an emergency when the civilian lawenforcement agencies are unable to maintain public order and safety.
Martial Law | Definition of Martial Law by Merriam-Webster

So the question about ML then is will Civilian Law Enforcement suffice?

We will see.

As I’ve said the front lines will take a HARD HIT moo. Their success will depend on their readiness. This virus loooves to attack the front lines with a vengeance...medical workers.... Ask China and every other country.

People are going to wake up once the death tolls start rising. Sad but true.

Everything is JMO.

I agree with what will students do if no school. Being social people, they will still get together. Again, why take exception on restaurants? Or why allow carry out, but not dine in? Do they not trust patrons, but trust restaurant staff? In my opinion, this is a cop out, but it is hurting our small, and franchise restaurants and bars. Is it the decision to bring small businesses to their knees. MOO

Close the malls.

Where one is going to get this lunch to pack if the stores are running out of food? And you have to go to a store a lot more.
I think some will go to a restaurant 2-3X daily, that is prob’ more frequent than grocery visits, moo.
Hope you get things worked out & your local stores refurbish.

I had pneumonia as a child and I definitely didn't get it off shopping card handle, considering I wasn't shopping with shopping cards as a child.

Pure chaos everywhere. Chaos in person, and chaos online. I don't know a single person that even has the scientific resources to verify if this virus is even real or even harmful . Yet the entire globe is engulfed in chaos because of what the media and government are stating. Fill in the blanks. I have no trust for the unknown yet I watch my fellow neighbors embrace it as if it is Truth. So sad to watch.

Chaos.….yes. Well, it is real, look at China and Italy. I tend to doubt much of the media too, but you know, when they start shutting down things like sports, major colleges, casinos, then we have a major problem. Those things just don't shut down. I would rather lean towards better to be safe than sorry.

This is starting to hit close to home for my family. My oldest daughter is in Colorado and is in the food service industry. This is her livelihood - and if restaurants close - how is she supposed to pay for her rent, bills, gas, food, her doggo? I'm really upset at forced closures of restaurants.....it's a huge industry and how are these people going to survive? This will greatly affect the U.S. economy.......what is next? Eventually this will affect all job sectors....I'm not a "sky-is-falling" person....but right now I'm feeling as if I'm living inside a Stephen King novel. ::gulp::

It is getting very scary. What is the alternative to forced closures? People aren't heeding the warnings. The closures protect the workers as well as limit community spread.
