not only equipment, but expensive chemicals to be used to cut or manufacture street narcotics...probably enough to make millions of dollars from - literally. I really hope they keep inventory of such items, including levels of concentration, how many ml, etc. How much do ya wanna bet this wasn't done, though, since research teams usually have full range access and use of whatever they have in stock - usually donated from an extremely wealthy trust or even from the government. Regular labs are monitored more closely than research project teams lab's. Then again, maybe this just boils down to one of the easiest scenarios to consider - rape & kill. Jeez.
