State requests bond revoked or doubled. Significant flight risk. State wants strict conditions if the Judge doubles her bond rather than revoke it. $6M Cash Only/Surety bond. House arrest. GPS monitoring. Passports surrendered. Sentencing hearing on 5/31/24.
A scheduled contempt hearing has been moved to 3/21/24; Troconis allegedly had sealed documents displayed on her laptop in an open court during the trial. Judge Alex V. Hernandez will preside over the hearing. Judge Randolph & Troconis' attorneys, Felsen & Schoenhorn, have recused themselves from the hearing. The attorneys said it would be “inappropriate” for them to represent Troconis, who has hired attorney Robert Frost for the proceeding. State statute indicates that if a judge finds her in contempt, she could be fined up to $100, face up to six months in custody or both. Troconis was arrested on 3/1/24 for contempt charges. Case Number S01SCR24***.
Next contempt hearing on 3/21/24 @ 10am.

I gotta say I love the way CT takes them directly to prison before sentencing, I can't remember any other state that does this. Usually they wait in jail while the PSI is done, or they are sentenced immediately upon conviction and then taken to the big house,

Hey! -

Glad to see GUILTY on the title this morning! Thanks ALL for posting what was happening!! :D

Question?

I take it in the 2nd quote - this is a typo? May 21st - sould be March 21st? TIA!
Not a typo. It was scheduled by the judge after the verdict for March 5 but sometime later in the afternoon rescheduled for March 21

(Was careful not to quote/infringe copyright) IMO MT should put on her reading list

imho, Bowman learned that the report was sealed & stricken -- and did not want to know any more.

Unless perhaps he read it, and knew it was sealed & stricken, and was smart enough to hush & attempt to hush the client/perp.

jmho ymmv lrr

I am fast for my soft, warm bed --

But something struck me just now. MT is getting credit in the media for sobbing in court. There was no sobbing. Hunched over. One photo, I questioned if there wasn't a touch of duper's delight.

Convict #whatever is playing her family! She has used them for five years to spread nicey nice, and now she's acting the part of a poor, crushed soul. So they feel sorry for her. So they put up more money so she can do as she's always done -- stay for free in someone else's house -- hairbnb paid for by daddy -- and can send her minions to bring her lattes and croissants. That's what that display was for. The getmepoutofhere act.

I hope her family gets it right. For once. Tough love. Leave her be. She is where she deserves to be.

You think she'd care if $420k was spent to spring her thongy bum? Think she'd care if it was taken out of her daughter's mouth, future, security? I think MT is a planet of one.

I hope they could get her out, they just don't.

Let her live with what she did. Behind bars.

For good.

JMO
I agree with you that she was the driving force in the murder. It dawned on me after GAL Meehan's testimony.

I adored the judge's formalities. I adored when Judge Randolph would refer to himself as the Court. "Hand the Court the letter."

Did I read that MT wanted a moment to say good-bye to everyone before being led away? Did she ask the Sheriff's bailiffs as if she was departing a dinner party instead of a court of law? JS described her condition as devastated. I'd say her condition may be fragile. Mine would be. Lawdy, a 50 year sentence is a life sentence for her.

My thoughts turn to her daughter who is another true victim left to pick up the pieces from this horrendous crime. May her aspiring Olympic dreams take her good places with good people.

Her life crashed and burned. This evening, I'm leaning towards the T fam not attempting bail, att. It's so expensive and she still has court costs, legal fees and lawyers and experts to pay. Appeals to file. I doubt she's bailed out before her contempt hearing on Thursday, March 21. It's not over. Her new hellhole is waiting.
Just a picky point: The sheriffs system was abolished in CT years ago. Those uniformed folk who took her away are Judicial Marshals.

Despite the conviction of Michelle Troconis, officials say, we knew we lost the body of Jennifer Dulos when her estranged husband died in 2020."Today’s verdict is a crucial attribution of accountability, not a victory," Carrie Luft, a close friend who is the spokesperson for the family, said in a statement Friday after Troconis was convicted on all counts. "There can be no victory when five children are growing up without their mother. This verdict represents the meticulous collection, analysis and presentation of evidence to illuminate an unconscionable series of crimes. That immense body of evidence also serves to highlight the gaps that remain in this case — most important, that Jennifer Farber Dulos still has not been found. We have lost a mother, daughter, sister, cousin and cherished friend. Jennifer’s loved ones cannot bury her next to her father."
