Feel like a builder with his tools and his strength could easily take apart a 5’ 8” 120 lb woman in this timeframe
He's an office guy. Dismembering something is exhausting, messy and a lot more time consuming even with tools than people think. I have butchered (dismembered) wild game and farm animals and its a lot of work. JMO

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but do we know if Jennifer bought her Suburban before or after she moved out and filed for divorce?

The reason I’m asking is I’m wondering if FD helped set-up the OnStar app on Jennifer’s phone. If so, he might still have access as well. Car owners car lock, unlock and remotely start their cars through the OnStar app. The 2017 Suburban comes with 5 years of basic OnStar service for free.

If FD still had access through the Onstsr app and Jennifer parked in the driveway, he could’ve unlocked her SUV and used the garage door opener to gain access after she returned home from dropping off the children.

Also, the Onstar onboard computer records data and compiles a daily, weekly, monthly report as part of its Safe Driver program. It tracks every trip, including multiple trips in one day - date, time, miles traveled, whether or not the driver and passenger were wearing a seatbelt, hard braking, excessive acceleration etc. The problem with this is the customer must enroll in this program even though it’s included in the basic OnStar plan.

I really hope she was enrolled and LE can tell exactly when her car was moved and figure out if they made any stops before dropping it at the park.

On account of the blood found in the garage, my theory is that he hid somewhere adjacent to it, and waited until Jennifer came home.

It would then be a matter of entering behind her once she opened the garage door.

I wonder if they panic and with adrenaline just can't think straight. But you would think with TWO of them at least one would think of what they need to do to avoid detection.

But like I said earlier, the kind of people who think murder is going to solve their problems can't be that bright.
Speaking of adrenaline. Posters thought that she seemed devoid of feeling and maybe defiant. My assessment was different. She's in panic mode. Adrenalin is off the charts. Hasn't slept in days. BP is also off the charts, too, IMO.

Last time I signed on here, Jennifer's disappearance did not seem well known. Now it is national news. I didn't want to post what I had heard early on in town during Memorial Day weekend but now that they have arrested the creeps on at least some crime, I will say that the missing person alert at first was not well publicized (phone calls to every NC resident's home, etc.) because police knew from the start there was blood found in the home and suspected the husband. I also suspected the girlfriend and I hope if found guilty they both never see the light of day. The first day I thought (hoped) she was just a very stressed out mother of five going through a bad divorce, and took off on her own for a few days since so few people knew about the silver alert for her that first weekend. I looked at her husband's FB page and thought he looked like an ego-maniac self and waterskiing obsessed jerk. But I read he was also Ivy League educated and how could he be SO stupid to murder her when everyone would first look closest at him?
Then I realized this week he is a sociopath. She is quoted as calling him a psychopath and sadly she turned out to be 100% correct. Sociopaths only think of themselves. They think they can get away with anything. And so he did it. But he won't get away with it. And same with the girlfriend. He couldn't have left the car alone by Waveny. Who picked him up?
He framed it to look like she got abducted while on the Waveny trails. He planned the time out so he would jump out at her when she came home from dropping the kids off.
The problem is I think police still need solid proof he was in NC during those morning hours. As a NC resident, just received police call asking for anyone with home surveillance tapes to contact police. Also they need the girlfriend to talk and find out where Jennifer's body is. I have assumed he has a boat since he waterskis and am afraid he put her body into a lake. But the home construction business / burying the body makes sense too.

And it is true that if you are in a home surrounded by trees, especially on the West side of town, there is very spotty cell phone service.
Hopefully surveillance videos are found soon in or around NCanaan.

And I wish residents would stop saying when interviewed, 'something like this never happens here'. Wake up people. Anything can happen anywhere, at anytime.
Most of the screwed up marriages I know are the people with the most money, too.
If there is anything somewhat positive to comment on, it is that the creep didn't get to take the kids out of the country. That is what Jennifer feared would happen the most. And that the murderer/s left before the nanny / housekeeper got there. There have been too many stories where an innocent house worker is a victim.

I haven't been able to find out if she had a restraining order against him. My guess is not, but I know he was banned from the kid's private school grounds.
Not that a restraining order would have saved her life. :(

I was just trying to check up on this. It's definitely spotty BUT the one area of consistently good coverage is Waveny Park. If their phones were on, they HAVE to had ping there.
And JD's house is not far from the center of town. 15 minutes from my house. I've never had a problem using my phone in that general area, though it might depend on the carrier. I think cell coverage gets spottier when you're heading toward Vista, NY.

Oh I just love the questions of the reporters - "Are you gonna' do the right thing Michelle and help the cops?" "Michelle what happened to Jennifer?" "Where's her body, Michelle?" "Why are you covering your face, Michelle?"

Love it.

why is she hiding her face? the whole world has already seen her mugshot

Not really. But it would show they had contact with it, which is good enough.
When I say owner of the clothing, I mean the person(s) wearing the article during the crime and/or cleanup. I’m not sure why we are so focused on who the clothing belonged to rather than whose DNA is on the clothing. The bloodstained clothing possibly could’ve been painters coveralls or clothing purchased specifically for this crime. JMO.

NCPD is sending out emails and texts to people that live in certain neighborhoods asking for CCTV footage from the May 22-25th.
Do we know which neighborhoods? I would imagine whatever the route that makes most sense between JD's home and Waveny?

After they serve their sentence. Yes. So if little missy has an ex who lives in the states and is entitled to time with their kid, she could lose custody of her child if deported.
FD also has a US passport. He had to surrender that passport as part of the divorce/custody proceedings. He wasn't asked to surrender his other passport/s (Greece and possibly Turkey).

EXACTLY what I was thinking. The timelines we're suggesting are based on a Soprranos-type whack, where experience and careful planning are involved. Here, you'd have two yahoos trying to figure it out on the fly - and probably getting just a bit panicked, possibly even arguing about what to do in the process. My husband and I got nauseous when we had the brilliant idea of buying a locally-raised chicken from a local farm, but when we got home, realized that we would have to cut off the feet - and the head was in the bag. Needless to say, hubby had the honor, but it was quite unsettling. And this was just a 2-ish pound bird.

East side of town received the call 20 minutes ago. This is a 10 minute drive from her neighborhood, which is on the West side of town. Killer could have gone over this way on main route to get to the highway.
