My opinion? No way. She's an opportunist. An unfeeling narcissist. But she knows how to appear as a waif so she can get out of trouble.

I've seen it so many times in court. They walk in looking frail and helpless. But in the hall where the judge can't see they're confident and cruel.

There are tells. Watch her sign the paperwork. There's no frailty there. Her signature is done with flourish. Decisiveness. She's confident in her counsel and daddy's ability to extricate her from trouble. She's used to getting what she wants.

I believe she is cold and calculating. And evil.

She can be all those things and still see herself as a victim. It is how she has been able to justify her participation in this crime. When LE is trying to get someone to confess, it is critical that the subject NOT feel judged (with some notable exceptions). The thing you leave out during an interview is how you feel about the subject. You want to be their confessor, not the one who sits in judgement and, frankly, her judgement lies elsewhere.LE's job is to get information, not be a judge and jury.

Since LE let MT know at the last session that her lies were demonstrable, you can be sure there have been a number of calls between Coangelo and Bowman about whether she is going to finally tell the truth. LE is in the catbird seat here, though, because MT knows she is still lying about some things BUT has has also admitted Dulos' alibi was fabricated. That is a major truth, and one that Dulos cannot run from. It is the basis on which her interviews will go forward.

On the other hand, she hasn't been truthful about her own involvement, and she is going to have to admit it if she wants to avoid a trial. IMO, she can't understand why she is being charged (I know, I know, I am just telling you what I think is going on in her head). She thought she could BS everyone and that isn't happening, so now she is in a real pickle. LE is not going to let her off the hook.

So yes, the tears are "real", but she is not crying because she thinks she has done anything wrong. She is crying because she doesn't think she has doesn't done anything wrong or, if she did anything, it was a very, very small, teeny tiny thing, that certainly does not justify imprisonment! Her tears are for herself, not an indication she acknowledges the enormity of what SHE did. Yes, she has learned to use her tears to make others pity her, but be clear about one thing. No one pities MT as much as she pities herself.

MT is broken and she was broken long before Dulos came into the picture. She has gotten through life by being a sports groupie hanger-on. Along comes this 'rich' Greek man, athletic like she is, who is going to give her the life she wants/believes she is entitled to and he feeds her head full of all kinds of BS. Now, she ends up here. To her, SHE is the victim.

We don't have to agree with her perception of herself. but it is imperative that LE understands it. I personally would start a Day 1 of her relationship with Dulos. Get her talking so that she keeps talking, then circle around to the lies.The more she talks, the more LE gains the upper hand.

Bottom line, crocodile tears or not, their presence is a tell for LE. MOO!MOO!

Seriously? What is up with this judge? I was surprised at his last ruling when he refused to up the prejudgement lien, but this latest ruling is even worse. The plaintiff cannot get financial records in a case alleging fraud? What am I missing here?

Its unclear to me when LE took the FD vehicles under warrant.

It is possible to use wifi to make phone calls or send texts and this could have been a way around cell tracking IMO. We also don't know if FD had an ipad or tablet as this could easily be used to make/receive texts and phone calls. We have mentioned burner phone option as well but unfortunately have no info about these devices in this case.

But depending on the packages in place I believe calls can be made via onstar in the Suburban. I wouldn't think FD would take the Raptor to pick up the children as I don't think it had enough space. I don't think we have talked about the Raptor telecom capabilities via the GPS system or infotainment system extensively and I don't know if a call can be made from the Raptor without a cell phone being present. We don't know much about the FD Jeep Cherokee and we don't know if the Tahoe rental was taken to NYC to pick up the children either?

Lots of questions about the vehicles and the communication device options!

IMO, idealistic millennials in forensics will crack the technology and put both FD+MT behind bars for murder one. Recent law school grads, including the ones from the Ivys, are turning away from bar association membership in droves. Smart millennials graduating today don't buy into MSM, main stream advertising, fake news and the old boy network. IMO, the forensic team is cross referencing the infotainment/GPS systems now and we are going to be blown away by the detail in AW3. You go Team Colangelo! As for the ankle monitor, I tend to want FD out and about town, even with the flight risk. FD has given LE some good intel during the past couple of months. Including revealing his true obsession: the place he first went to after being released from prison - see pics in The Daily Mail, a surprising source of reporters actually investigating. The old adage is true: the murderer always returns to the scene of the crime. If FD was able to manage his impulses, he wouldn't have gotten himself and everyone who once cared for him involved in his own private horror show. Party girl MT is pretty tough, IMO. The years of being used in Dubai and Miami has hardened MT and she truly believes that a slick image: hair, jewelry and designer clothes will carry her through this. Even dressing up her father for the show. I'll take the sow's ear over this silk purse. MOO.

Just to straighten out the timeline:
You have FD arriving in NYC on 5/25 , 12AM?
I’ve been trying to get any verification on vehicle used to make that trip- when there was some conversation earlier about consciousness of guilt, and his intentions during the visit.
We were discussing the seat capacity of vehicle taken would hint at whether he was putting in a show of concern, or might have had intent to abscond w the children.
Someone thought there were pics of him in NYC, but it turned out to be body guard. I can’t find anything on car he used for that visit, and this is the first I heard it was so late!

The timeline I read in the attached Stamford Advocate link has "Fotis in New York" at midnight. I have not been able to find any other source for the exact time. Maybe they don't have the actual time and tagged the 26th in general? MOO.

I can't say for sure but my feeling is it's artifice. For the benefit of the camera. I think they're gearing up for trial and trying to start building the impression of a waif-like and innocent creature misled or coerced by a madman.

The additional charges tell me that the negotiations broke down some time ago. That and a lack of murder charges.

I do not agree that the negotiations have broken down, but I do agree that Coangelo is making clear to MT where she is headed if she doesn't begin speaking the whole truth. Let's not forget that she has demolished Dulos' so-called alibi and admitted the Alibi Scripts were fabricated. That is not a small thing. She may not be telling LE the entire truth, but she has not been thrown out the door. Yet. That last charge was as much a warning to MT as it was a message to Dulos. Cooperate fully or face more charges.

Another indicator that negotiations are still in play is that she was allowed to turn herself in on the new AW, with a bond set at a fifth of what Dulos was required to pay. The bond was set by the judge based upon Coangelo's recommendation, AND she was allowed to turn herself in the day after Dulos was arrested. Bowman received notice of MT's arrest in advance; Pattis was not afforded the same courtesy. Also, while every defendant may be escorted to their car by LE after court in CT, that most assuredly is not SOP in most places - unless specifically instructed to do so. Which leads me to the final indicator, and that is the speed and virtual silence of that last hearing. The lawyers do not want to put anything on the record, but I feel quite certain that the in-chambers discussion was much more candid. I wonder if that is where the discussion of the LE escort occurred, because it sure didn't occur on the record. All of these small things lead me to conclude negotiations are still occurring.

There is much more going on behind the scenes here than we know at present, but again, LE is not going to negotiate anything until MT tells the complete, unvarnished truth. Her well-experienced attorney is quite aware of that fact. but perhaps MT still thinks she can emerge from this case unscathed.(She can't). Neither party has yet walked away from the table IMO, but Coangelo is surely letting Bowman know he expects MT's fuzzy memory to improve. As one of my mentors was fond of saying, "time will tell."

Copies of his monthly bank statements and his credit card statements going back to at least 2016 would undoubtedly tell the tale quite succinctly. He is no Bernie Madoff; he lacks the accounting skills (and staff) to even try to create phony QuickBooks even if he was sufficiently motivated. He would NEVER be able to provide the supporting documentation if called upon to do so. MOO

So why weren’t bank financials subpoened? Moving right along, judge, here are his financial statements produced for the bank loans from just a few months ago. We can use these to establish his financial position.

The Family Court has both the bank and personal statements and I believe Atty Weinstein has these documents. From this info he was able to demonstrate the disparity in the net worth amt: $347,000 in FC and $4,000,000 for Farmington Bank/Peoples Bank. I don't believe anyone has much confidence in either number at this point and that is a major issue IMO. Once someone is an establish liar then what can you trust? Atty Weinstein has petitioned the court for a forensic accountant and FD/Atty Murray are fighting this request.

Judge orders Fotis Dulos, estranged husband of missing mom Jennifer Farber Dulos, to appear in court Monday to address GPS monitoring issues
Judge John Blawie scheduled a 2 p.m. hearing after receiving a report from probation officials that raises concerns that Dulos is not properly recharging the batteries of his GPS monitoring system. Pattis said the issue apparently occurred four times between August and September.
Blawie could revoke his probation on Monday but is more likely to admonish Dulos and warn him to adhere to the rules of the GPS monitoring or have his probation revoked. The GPS system is battery operated and defendants are required to charge it at the same time every day or night.
