Wow. This is another one of those cases where I just think did he really think he was going to get away with it? But I realize now he was surrounded by equally self-centered slobs and associates who probably encouraged each other to do whatever they wanted. Run a scam...go for it. Cheat a family member...whatever. Have an affair...we’re your alibi. Kill your wife...you’re a genius, nobody will ever figure it out.
It will be a travesty, and most likely an international fugitive case, if he somehow makes bail.

Earlier thread mentioned that if he does bond out he will have a more sophisticated monitoring device. Would that be one that will tase him if he tries to remove it, if there is such a device? Like an electric fence...

If her body was wrapped in plastic, zip tied for security or carrying purposes, why would all of that have been removed to dispose of her body , as it seems to have been done ? If she was buried in a pre-dug grave, or weighted and put in a pond or even put in an incinerator, why take off the zip ties and unwrap her?

i'm thinking maybe the zip ties found in the bags of evidence were extras that needed to be discarded.

NP is so full of himself. Have I mentioned here that when P first announced he would rep scum of earth FD I sent him an email through his website (which has a gallery of him posing in similar positions with his awful hygiene and 80s-era least cool leather jacket ever seen, which I only mention because he is such a poseur) and though my note was civilized he replied within minutes using foul language at me? And then a second time, until I noted he might have something better to do than hurl curse words at random people emailing him? He is so obsessed with himself. His ridiculous flowery speeches for any reason whatsoever - it's like a parody, pretty close to a sad-sack lawyer speechifying and grandstanding with over-the-tp rhetoric in traffic court. No, Norm, you are no Clarence Darrow or Atticus Finch, you are a lowlife ambulance-chasing scumball JOKE. Okay I digress. But I did feel that this judge is sort of smitten by him, which is weird. All macho posturing nonsense. But in defense of men, so many good ones even in this sordid tale, and the worker who saved the seats is a real hero.

Would love for you to send his response to one of the reporters who spend so much time fawning over the idjiot! Time for NP to face the fruits of his labor to the poor and down-trodden like FD.

Honestly, if FD and MT are able to post bond and get out of there, this will probably provide even more encouragement for KM to let it allllllll out. Can you imagine LE showing him video of them walking out to go home and be able to sleep in their own beds, wear their own clothes, cook their own food? He'd likely be extremely salty about this....

I do not understand how FD can possibly post bail. He appears to be broke and in debt that far exceeds any assets he has. Wouldn't he have to pay (non-refundable) approximately 10% of bail amount and have some sort of existing collateral to put up for remainder? I'm sure MT's family is ponying up for her temporary freedom.

I just laugh seeing KM in his white t-shirt as it reminds me of a verified insider who helps criminals here at WS as to the justice system and what he said. He said if you are expecting to get arrested, always wear just white undies and t-shirt and socks, as you may keep vs. anything of color will be taken away. The humiliation this guy has that he is in court in his undergarments is just one for the bar folks in CT to have forever. I bet he is thoroughly pizzed that Dulos got to come to court in a suit! Not me though.

It would make sense if she was dismembered.

And if he dismembered her, he could have very well also put her into the bags. The amount of bags and the amount of blood noted on the bags and items within could very well indicate that body parts were also in the bags as well. This could be information that is being withheld for trail. JMO, jmo, jmo.

I have asked what if one of the kids was sick and did not go to school... what if JD did an extra errand and was late... the saddest thing , IMO, is that she had to do drop offs and go in and out every day. If not this day, would she just have been attacked on a slightly later day? maybe there was a previous near miss.

Your post like several others is probably right on, but I do think there was confluence of circumstances that were peaking near the end of May. FD was in dire financial straits with a number of loans, interest payments in the near future. Combine those with the almost 2 year suit from JFd's mother, a very unhappy mistress who was tired of being treated by the court and JFd as an unwholesome influence on the children, and JFd wasn't backing down. The Memorial Day weekend was approaching and MT would need to vacate the main home in order for the Dulos children to visit. GF was pushing harder on the civil suit. And, the family court was asking for a financial statement before they could wrap up the divorce. FD was in a corner and he was NOT going to lose. Actually, the Friday before the 3-day holiday may have found FD choking with negative possibilities and he had to strike.

They always do. Mark Seivers thought he planned the perfect murder but he received the DP and he was in shock!

Still, even a defendant entitled to bond can have it denied if they are deemed a fight risk or a danger to the community. It is the very rare defendant charged with first degree murder who is given pretrial release, but it apparently does happen in CT. Pattis actually was complaining to the judge about lower amounts set in other murder cases there. NOT at all typical but it must be how it works in that state.

Agree that the judge might be bound by case law here. I wanted to add that FD did himself a big favor by being out on bail and not absconding and showing up for all his court dates. That would weigh in favor of bond again, even with his allowing the charge to run down on the monitors (which could be argued as a "mistake"). It might have been easier to get no bond if he had initially been charged with murder, based on the seriousness of the charge and all of the flight risk factors (there are many, planes, connections to Greece, etc.) but it was likely a much harder argument for no bond for the initial charges and by now he has a "track record."

It was speculated earlier that FD intended to get the kids and take them with fake passports to Greece right after the murder. He showed up to collect the kids assuming he would easily be their only guardian now that he was a widower with access to her trust fund and their inheritance. All a delusional vision.

I also think it was tied to this weekend visitation. Either go to Greece OR just have the kids when his wife "disappeared" and he was: 1) the only parent available; and 2) the parent with physical custody. So much was thwarted by whisking them to NYC and then not allowing access that weekend. So very smart.

lol, usury loans are about 30% now for those payday loans. We saw he was digging the bottom of the loan barrel before (wonder what those rates were when he thought just a few months turn around vs. yearssssssssssssssssssss or liffffffffffffffffe) but now... nope, not even usury rates will save him now.

I think he thought he would easily come up with the % to bail bondsmen but he is a flight risk and no one will take him...and his family is not ponying up the money; flight risk...and they can't access it because its not legitimate in some way...just MOO..

LE has the zip ties. With her DNA. Thst means LE knows if they were used or unused zip ties and whether they were cut. And if they're cut, LE probably has a really good idea what sort of blade cut them. zip ties don't tear or break.... seems you'd need a pretty sturdy implement to hack through one.

Be it known, there's a reason LE was looking for an axe. I don't know the exact reason but I can guess it's not pretty.

I "get" that FD wanted Michi left out of this.... but what exactly was his plan, Part 2? How did he originally plan to acquire the children and just when and how was he going to abscond to Greece? The next day? A week later? Did he think people might wonder where JDF had gone but would quickly forget? Drew Peterson packed away his beloved's clothes right away, as if he had some inside information she might not be returning. Was FD planning to carry on as normal for a span of time, then the grieving widower, he'd move his children and mistress to Greece for a new beginning? I just wonder if there were any plans, tickets, arrangements in place....

It is absolutely indecent he's been freeloading at 4JC.

Yikes re bonding out. They dont deserve the luxury of a house arrest. I truly thought they wouldn't come up with the bond.....
