The scope of the SW is a curiosity of mine but I will put that aside for now.
I wonder if the office above the garage needed to be aired out at all for safety.

the parallels here are hard to fathom. The state and most of us believe that JFd met her end in her garage. And if FD doesn’t recover it appears he met his end/beginning of his end in his own garage. And that he had a hand in both.

I hope they have pictures at least of LE removing evidence from the home even if it is bagged.

Not to mention the involvement of their Suburbans...

Not at all. He is the ultimate control freak, and let's not forget. He KNOWS he is guilty, and this suicide attempt is more evidence of his consciousness of guilt IMO. He never intended to be incarcerated again; I have expressed my opinion here before that he was testing the system, to determine its weak links (for purposes of escape), but he was unsuccessful in doing so. What is the ultimate control and escape? Suicide.

This man is a very damaged individual, who has been able to manipulate the legal system for many years. No doubt he was aided by his lawyers (these lawyers IMO are NOT representative of most lawyers), who supported the false narrative that Dulos was the victim. So couple his malignant narcissism with his need to control and escape the situation he has placed himself in, with his dawning knowledge that he was going to be incarcerated, and it becomes clear he was always a suicide risk. I would not be surprised to learn that this plan, like his plan to murder Jennifer, was well thought out in advance. The guy was never going to let anyone be the boss of him. If he recovers, he should be detained for his own safety, and closely monitored IMO.

The timing of this attempt, though, has got to be tied to the fact that he knew the jig was up. The house of cards was tumbling down such that Dulos must have thought he days of freedom were coming to an end. One way or the other, though, Dulos was never going to face the justice he deserved. MOO! MOO!

All of your posts have been amazing and has me sitting here nodding my head along with each sentence. I hope you are only at band camp for a very short time.

If the case is based on a health claim the doctor can be forced to testify. In this case, he probably won’t be unless it affects other cases. However, FDs health does affect the court and a general response to a judge asking his opinion about him being able to attend isn’t the same as wanting details. I guarantee that no judge I ever met would care about the details just a quick “in your opinion, is he going to be able to appear in 30 days?” Would be enough. And most doctors I know would respond. The judge could also issue a court order for the records if needed because the defendant made his health an issue in a current case. JMO
The original post that started this discussion posed the idea that the judge contacted the hospital on his own, outside of the court session, to inquire about FD - like the judge calling the doctor on his own to chat about FD - and then used that information to make his decision in court today. That is the scenario I doubt.

I do not doubt that FD's health is an issue.

But I guess people who have legal expertise are saying that judges make phone calls outside of the court proceedings to make their decisions. I never heard of that before so complete news to me.

Anyway, that's the end of my opinion on this particular issue.

You would think he would have written something for his children before he attempted suicide. Perhaps police found something in plain sight in the garage or car that led them to file for a search warrant under the existing charges. Perhaps there was a short note in the car or in FD's clothing. JMO.
I doubt he left a note. He could care less about those children. All they were to him were vehicles to more money and once the money train stopped, he killed their mother! And once he realized he couldn’t get them, by the Grace of God, I might add, he was done with them too.
IMO

Thoughts on today's Fotis Dulos developments (thread):
-Dulos' condition is "dire." Because of that, the bond issue is on hold & the focus is allowing his family to visit Jacobi Medical Center. Had the judge revoked the bond, Pattis says that would've complicated that. @News12CT

-Instead, the state's attorney and Pattis asked a judge to rearrest him. Judge Gary White signed off and ordered Dulos' rearrest due to failure to appear in court yesterday. He also raised the bond on his murder charge by $500,000. @News12CT

FD just could not deal with prison. I think that was the insurmountable obstacle, more than the shame (and certainly there is zero evidence of remorse). Remember when he tore out of court in his orange jumpsuit, even though most go back to change? He didn't want to go back to jail for even five minutes. Now he saw the writing on the wall - he was going out through the back door today and so he did what he had to do to "win," took the escape hatch straight to the hell of his own making. A strange and dangerous man who could have had everything -- in fact, he did have everything. He really did. And he was somehow compelled to destroy it. For what?? Greed, rage, ego, arrogance, need to control, lack of empathy, or some sinister combination of all of the above? The whole thing is such a terrible shame. Now MT (and KM) will blame FD for everything, even if she was a willing co-conspirator and equally cold-hearted. How could she? But, how could she do so many of the things she did. You would think by age 45 you'd have a sense of female solidarity but she was ruthless in treading on an innocent woman, a fellow mom, and taking everything she could for herself. My heart breaks for Jennifer, and her precious children.

Always considered him a flight risk. Suicide? No. Maybe he thought his $6M bond collateral passed inspection. And he was free until trial. Or next problem came up. Didn’t have a Plan B in case he needed it. Or there wasn’t enough time to implement it. 8:30 Colangelo notified. 9:00 am Pattis knew. Called FD. FD scrambling and called bonding company 9:38? Or so. Out of options. When bond guy called at 10:35 am FD had already implemented Plan. To stall? Or really kill himself? I’d guess to stall. I don’t think he meant to kill him self. Thinking he would get discovered by new girlfriend when she returned from grocery store?
Like Norm Pattis, I never read any signs he would kill him self as a final control over the situation. New bondsman was already making plans before all the early morning calls, right? So defense was aware of a potential problem with collateral value. Maybe the hearing being set immediately was a surprise. Surely Pattis would have assured FD that his firm was lining up a new bondsman, a guy who would cover all of it? Or HAD lined up a new bondsman. Just show up. We’ll get this straightened out at the hearing.
....Maybe, maybe, maybe....
FD didn’t believe anyone but Pattis could keep him out of jail?
Any other ideas?

Could Jennifer's body be there in the house? Could Fotis have essentially buried her body beneath the foundation somehow? Or could there be a hidden large refrigerator somewhere?
Or have I lost my mind?
Most likely just some evidence of Fotis's guilt. imo.

Ira Judelson, bail bondsman out of NY, is at Stamford Court for this emergency bond hearing. Says he’s here today just to see what happens. Had been called by Pattis yesterday to potentially take over Dulos’ bond but says it wasn’t a done deal at that time. @News12CT

So the miracle bondsman to the stars is now only observing and not so quick to give FD special treatment. (Perhaps he read the prior Surety's motion that the defendant failed to identify the imperfections in his collateral to the Surety in his bond application). MOO

I’m being a smartass here but... NP has said No proof JD is dead/ she’s pulled a “gone girl” scenario. They are technically still married does that mean JD gets to make FD’s medical decisions? Or they would have to prove she wasn’t alive to let someone else make those decisions? Or that by NP supporting someone else making medical decisions for FD he is indeed supporting the argument that JD is no longer with us and blowing up his original Case. I mean how can he support other family coming in to make these decisions when he’s said all along he doesn’t believe her to be dead.
*I hope you all can follow that. I’m not sure I got it out of my head right.
I understand your thinking. His own defense could technically trip him up big time here. But apparently it hasn’t.
