I'm not defending the perp and not criticizing you FindHG but because she is a lesbian does not mean she wants to be a man.
I really hope this thread does not resort to bashing her because of her sexuality,I have noticed a tone in some posts.

Agreed, not cool.

I can (almost) see her stabbing him and running out in a panic. BUT she stabbed him in the heart, in the groin, in the liver, in the spinal column... And more. That is very violent and intentional. IMO
Nah, not intentional, but desperate and frenzied
.

My apologies for getting it so wrong, for being adamant that DM wasn't gay/bi and for saying the people commenting at (modsnip) were just trolls. Those folks were honest and absolutely right; (modsnip)

A co conspirator in what way? I know we saw another figure by the front doors, but now I ask why would they be there? From her security training, she would have been trained to have a back-up, not go alone.

She has had over a month to "work" on her story. It does not appear to me she concocted one too believable!

Yes, this gal was not a smooth criminal....at all. Fingerprints, caught on video, spilled the beans when arrested, you name it. I think Tutti's theory is probably the closest. She got him in the "cuffs" and then attempted a cash and dash, but he tried to stop her. That cost him his life, and for all practical purposes, the Perp's as well.

Apologies? You shared your opinions. It's what we all do.

'Right there with ya. We've all done our share of "learning" with this case. Welcome to the club ;)

IMO... It's only bad when we stop learning.

DM is a victim, of course he is. But he engaged in a very dangerous activity and his murder is not something that could happen to most of us here. Sadly, this case will get lots of attention because of the circumstances, whereas a basic robbery gone bad would merit much less, even though THAT could happen to anybody. Jmo

This case is brutal. :( That poor man.

That self defense BS will never fly either. Is she going to say she put the finger cuffs (restraints) on him AFTER he was dead?
Last edited by JLSChook; Today at 03:46 PM. Reason: ETA--Added word restraints because ewww

I just searched "finger cuffs" (I had no clue).

"These are the perfect complement to your self defense toolkit. You can keep a set of thumbcuffs handy to subdue a perpetrator without having some bulky handcuffs to deal with. "

* I realize she just used bright-color lil zip ties.

** Oh Lord, I just found another "different" definition :blushing:

See my ETA above. Same thing. :blushing:

Actually, I think she called her partner in a total panick. I don't think she intended to kill him, but did. She was probably very freaked out and called her partner.

Since we know there was blood on the door to the stairwell, we know she didn't clean up in the hotel room.

My guess is she arrived and left by car.

Good point. I can't imagine her bloody on public transport. It's quite common to have a "driver" who takes a cut of your money, drive to "appointments". It's also for safety as well.

Please, cuffem, I would never bash anyone for their sexuality, ever. She, is a perp who stabbed him in the heart and groin, and tormented him probably. There are lots of ways to kill people, stabbing in the groin is a deliberate act, not defensive, it seems to me. Those deep penetrating wounds were done when he was subdued already, it seems. She may not have been able to get that kind of stab through to his heart without much force, momentum and freedom of movement, not during an attack with his being able to fight her off freely.

She is lying in her statements, her second thoughts. After she decided to talk with detectives again, it was to cover for the aspects I mentioned, that may point to somebody else with knowledge of this. She had a choice to lie in any way she chose, given the information about emails and craigslist are known. So why did she choose to lie about these things? What could she have done with the phone and the clothes that she may not want LE to look for? Who was the weeble in the lobby watching her? Is it possible for the door to have been open? Why would there have been blood by the door? He went to open the door.

He may have gone to answer the door, but I do not think the attack took place as soon as she entered the room. There had to be enough time for the whole zip tie fingercuffing to have happened. I think he initially thought JG was a guy and went along for a bit. Long enough for her to get him to agree to putting on the zip ties.

She was young, immature and didn't have any game in her. This is gonna be a slam dunk for prosecutors.

Give WS a few minutes and we'll be educated on fetishes and her "contacts". Guess we'll need bleach to disinfect our eyeballs.

I have to agree with this, the way she was dressed, bringing the ties and a knife...premeditated. For someone who wanted to be an athlete, or at least make something out of her life in the military or LE (or so it seemed to me), she seems to have gotten caught up in a dangerous lifestyle instead - and for what?

Is it possible for the door to have been open? Why would there have been blood by the door? He went to open the door.
Since there's blood on the stairwell door, she likely got blood on the hotel room door when leaving.

She had to have injured herself and was bleeding because that is how LE knew the killer was female. The blood left on the stairwell door DNA tested female.

I'd like to think it will be a slam dunk for the prosecutor. But, what if she has a good defense lawyer and the jury buys her "flashback and I snapped" story??

Or, maybe there will be a plea bargain and it won't go to trial??

Wonder if there will end up being a plea for 2nd degree...if confession holds up, no point in wasting hundreds of thousands on a trial. Life in prison is still possible in VA for 2nd degree, I think.

I vote plea bargain. It will help spare the family and wife a circus of a trial.
