RSBM. This says it all. Look at his demeanor when he is photographed. He looks like a dejected man who knows he has crossed a line he can not redo. He looks like a man who knows the gig is up, he's at the end of the line and there really isn't anything he can do about the outlook on his future.

Someone would be wise to do some ads featuring all of those participating in Jan 6 and now in prison, to remind folks what supporting Trump can look like .... (Kind of like those ads that feature former cigarette smokers at the end of their lives).

Not all that glitters, is gold.

Commenting on Trump’s court appearance, where he was visibly concerned, Pelosi told MSNBC, “I saw a scared puppy.”

“He looked very, very, very concerned about the fate. I didn't see any bravado or confidence or anything like that. He knows the truth that he lost the election and now he's got to face the music.”

Perfect answer from Pence. imo

A dozen Trump supporters approached Mike Pence’s vehicle as he entered his Friday event yelling, “that’s a traitor,” “you’re a sellout,” and “why didn’t you uphold the constitution?” “I upheld the constitution,” Pence shouted back. As they badgered him he yelled, “Read it!”

Think about this---every day of his life he has to recall that the man he supported and was supp!icant to,
Wanted him DEAD-- and even after that day, when his life was in danger, he still Did not come
Out against Trump

I don't expect he will be thrown in jail, at least not yet. I expect a more clear instruction that requires more from him than agreeing to be a good boy. He needs big, bold boundaries because otherwise he stands with his toes touching the line, shouting, "See, I'm not crossing it!"

(Having flashbacks to my siblings in the backseat of the car touching the seams of the seat that served as our boundaries and then squabbling about whether we infringed each others' spaces or not....until my dad told us to knock it off. :) Childish behavior, corrected by authority.)

He may not be thrown in jail but the judge will make it perfectly clear that if he continues down this
Road, she will take strong and decisive action

And now, on a Saturday, (appearing unwilling to waste much time) Judge Chutkan has given Donald Trump until 5pm ET Monday to respond to the special counsel's motion for a protective order following Trump's ostensible threat post on social media:
Trump has responded to the judge's Monday 5pm deadline by asking for a 3-day delay. He wants until Thursday.

Jack Smith files a motion asking judge not to allow a Trump delay.

“The Government stands ready to press send on a discovery production. The defendant is standing in the way.”

"Rather than spend time complying with the court's order, the defendant drafted a filing as to why he did not have time to review the 5pg protective order"

Jack doesn't play, even on the weekend.

The document is two pages, easy read. Here's a summary in addition to the quotes above:

Aug 2: Government proposed to defense counsel a protective order

Aug 3, evening: Government followed up

Aug 4, early afternoon: Government followed up

Aug 4: Defense council responded with entirely different protective order which Government found inadequate. Government replied with an alternative. Defense declined to substantively confer. Government moved for entry of order (I think means officially recording the order.)

Aug 5: Court ordered Defendant to respond by Monday with redline of Government's proposal. (Redline in this context means edits, negotiation.) Defense asks for delay. Government asks the Court to deny the delay.

Same link as quoted post.

And in the midst of that, the defendant posted "I'm coming after you." This is not mentioned in the document. imo

Is this for real? He's running a campaign and I guess he can post about his political opponents, but this is about the criminal case and Pence is a witness. For those who can't access Twitter/X:

“Liddle’ Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as Governor Indiana until I came along and made him V.P., has gone to the Dark Side.” Pres. Trump slams Pence for his comments over J6

"WOW, it finally happened! Liddle' Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as Governor Indiana until I came along and made him V.P., has gone to the Dark Side. I never told a newly emboldened (not based on his 2% poll numbers!) Pence to put me above the Constitution, or that Mike was "too honest." He's delusional, and now he wants to show he's a tough guy. I once read a major magazine article on Mike. It said he was not a very good person. I was surprised, but the article was right. Sad!"

Doesn't this just make a (WS) member want to say "Can I have the link for that please, Mr Trump?"

And....the Judge denied the defense request to delay. Monday remains the deadline.

Sad whomp whomp noises lol.
Go Judge go!

I feel the same, I would find it hard to believe him having a dozen followers, let alone millions!

I've said it before but until the day I die, I will never understand how it wasn’t the end of him when he mocked the disabled reporter. I'm from the UK and I'm pretty sure that if a politician did that over here then it would be the end of their career.

The one thing that pleases me at the moment is the report that that Trump is scared. In fact it delights me.
Cult of personality. It's deeply real.

Trump has not had to take orders from anybody since the days when his father Fred was a real-estate developer in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Donald’s boss.

It must be KILLING him that he has to take orders from a lady judge.

Well, he has to, but he isn’t obeying, and I hope justice for America is served very quickly.

IMO Trump isn’t fit to shine Pence’s shoes. I respect Pence because when it was critical for our country, he stood up against Trump at great personal cost, to his life and to his political career.

Of course Trump has to be a savage to him now.

In my opinion.

I agree it is a cult of personality and it is deeply (sadly unfortunately) real, but for the life of me I don't understand why these people are so devoted. They actually believe he cares about them, that he is special, and some have compared him to Jesus! I see him as a mean, vengeful, not too bright, nasty man who will do anything to anyone to attain his goals which usually involve money and power. How can anyone support a man who makes fun of the disabled?
