This is so overwhelming....I just want to cry my heart out....We would have taken such good care of her.......she wanted out so bad....it's crazy that she inspires us so much love and that her own mama didn't know how to love her.....

Yesterday and today I was on the metro and as the train was passing over a park in Alexandria (a VA suburb of DC), there were police cars from several precincts and counties as well as the Alexandria mobile command unit. There were also K-9's being led around the park, obviously searching for something or someone. No idea if it was related to Relisha's case, but she's all I could think about.

:seeya: my little man has four paws and whiskers and big green eyes that can see into my soul. :cat: Before I make my morning coffee, I cuddle him and coo at him and fill his dish. As you said, he hears over and over from me how much I love him, and how handsome he is. I praise and reward him for carrying my ponytail holders and his other toys around the house, for eating his food, for keeping me company while I study, etc. I even thank him for supervising me when I get up to pee in the middle of the night, and I mean it with all my heart. When he was sick, I couldnt be still until the vet checked him out and reassured me that he would be just fine. I read books and articles about how i can be a better mom to him and make his life as enriched and pleasant as possible. I believe that this is no more than what he deserves and what I promised to do for him when I adopted him! When my friends tease me by saying, "he's just a cat," I retort, "well, you're 'just' a human, so whatever!"

I have to believe that Relisha got some of this in her life. :please:

BBM - this made me smile, and I needed that. As a first time dog owner, I haven't been to the bathroom by myself in the last 2 years! And like you, I also thank my furbaby boy for supervising & protecting me while I go about my business, lol.

Although I helped raise a step-son, who's in his early 20s now, I don't have any biological children. But everybody who has ever seen me interact with my puppy says the same thing - "you would've been a great mother" To me, my puppy is like my child, he is the love of my life, all 13lbs of him (shhh, don't tell hubby! lol).

My point is, as a maternal figure (to my puppy, to my step-son, and to all the children in my life), it is innate in me to show and express that maternal love. But, as discussed earlier, maternal instinct it is not innate in all mothers. It is just a sad, but true, fact of life...and that definitely seems to be the case with Relisha, IMO :frown:

WHERE IS RELISHA?! I'm so, so sorry baby girl. Praying for you day and night. :praying:

I love all of these fur baby stories. Our little dogs are our "kids," too. We even take professional family Christmas photos with my husband, the dogs, and me every year to send out as Christmas cards (and we always get tons of compliments on them & people asking us when we're sending them out as the holidays approach). My little dogs are the littlest and biggest loves of my life in so many ways.

I wish Relisha could have been loved as much. :(

If she is alive right now, I hope she is brought home to see how much strangers in the community love her. And if she's not with us anymore, I know wherever she is in the afterlife she can see and feel all of the love from around the country from people who never met her but love her.

Could you narrow down the area of the park a bit more? Alexandria is about 5 minutes from where AT was found in the Red Roof Inn in Oxon Hill, MD and almost a straight shot across the bridge.

Tatum and the witness left, and he eventually dropped Tatum off at the Southern Avenue Metro Station in Suitland.

The documents also say Andrea Tatum’s daughter told investigators her mother had been having problems with Kahlil Tatum, and that she was thinking of leaving him.

First time I have seen an actual address of where KT was supposedly dropped off and the wording, "eventually" indicates they went other places...doesn't it?!

Witness Two is AT's daughter?

I know it is late, however there should be more people on this thread.
This beautiful little girl deserves EVERYONE!

Andi, do you remember which stop the park is near and what Metro line...Blue or Yellow?

That is very interesting given the rumour that a house in SE DC was said to have been raided. BTW, this is the other most dicey section of the city. And it is very near Oxon Hill, MD in PG County. Southern Ave is on the Green Line and connects to the Bladensburg Rd/New York Ave Neighborhood at Gallery Place and the RED LINE.

I bet you her first name starts with "I"----"IT"

BBM. Yes, first time I've seen an actual address...and, yes, the wording "eventually" does seem indicate that they went other places first. Hmm...

Something else that caught my eye: "...an electronic key card given to the Tatums and the witnesses when they arrived at 10:13 p.m. as they first entered the room." How many key cards were given out? I've traveled alone and stayed in hotels alone, and I am usually given two key cards. Just curious...the wording that the Tatums AND the witnesses were give an electronic key card. Was it just ONE card or more than one? And wouldn't key card(s) only be given to whoever paid for the room?

I was on the blue line heading to Franconia-Springfield (but blue and yellow run the same tracks in this area). It was somewhere around 730/745am. And I'm pretty certain it was between Braddock Rd and King Street stops, but I'm not 100% certain. I will pay more attention tomorrow morning as I know I'll recognize the park, even if LE presence is gone, and I'll report back.

I'm sorry, but I can't remember the exact location. It was somewhere between Reagan nat'l and King street (on the blue line, heading in the direction of Franconia-Springfield), I just can't remember if it was before or after Braddock road. I will know for certain after my commute tomorrow.

I believe they gave one card to the Tatums, but it sure could mean the witnesses were present at the time. I have questioned if KT and the witnesses escorted AT in to get the key and to the room as if she could have been under duress at the time.

I would for sure think one card since it says AN electronic key CARD, not the/ two key cardS.

That little group at the hotel seems really odd to me. I am really trying to get a feel for it. Also, since it was her child, it seems like she would know more about what was happening in that room. I know one of the family members said something to the effect of Andrea died standing up for what she believed in. Maybe, there is more credibility since her family member was there directly before and after her mom was killed. I would be interested to know what their feelings about all this are. They are not screaming and ranting all over their facebooks, like the Shamika crew is.

Another thing that keeps coming into my mind is the park. We all know he was there on the 2nd for a couple of hours. We don't know if he was in the park dead before or after they began the official search. There is speculation, but we don't really know. Well, if the search had not started, why would he go there? There was nothing stated yet saying they knew he was there, so it would have to be a personal reason, rather than a wanting to be found reason. That would lead me to believe she was there. What if he went after? Would that be just to be found, even if she wasn't there? It certainly doesn't seem it would be to throw the trail off of her being sold because, well, why would he care anymore since he was about to be dead?!

This is the very strangest case. It is not an abduction. It wasn't even a not returning a child thing since up until recently we were told she was given on the 26th and never returned. Now, we know she was returned on the 1st. So, when and why did he come back? Did Shamika at that point just tell him to get rid of her? None of it makes much sense, but I think one day it will. Someone is going to say something! Someone will get angry at someone and crack! Give a detail. Tell what they heard. Put out what the word on the street is. I want that day now. i want them to find this little girl, no matter what her outcome is. She deserves to be recognized as an important person! She matters!

I never did find an obituary for either Tatum.
