Oh wow. If perp(s) didn't turn off the cell phones, police can track them to see where he/they went.

At least until they died! I bet he would have left them on to see what type of texts they got?? I would anyway...of course, that is not to say I would murder anyone or commit any crime!!!

DW is such a moron. He took their cell phones? I guess he doesn't watch CSI? Or " The First 48"

I am guessing DW didn't have the phones and investigators were hoping the other suspects would turn them on at some point in the weeks after, but have not.

Do they NEED the physical phone? Wouldn't phone records show any/and everything?

Phone information and tracking can be obtained without the actual phone. The significances of the phone being stolen is that it could maybe be determined where the phones were taken after leaving the house.

Records can recall what actual texts say? I don't know why that surprises me, but it does.
