All along I've thought that Casey did not like the fact that Caylee was closer to Cindy than she was, and if Cindy threatened custody then Casey figured "if I can't have her, then neither can you."

My thoughts, too.

It wouldn't be the first time a child was the victim of a custody dispute.

IMO

Remember what was said in the very first bond hearing. YM, the detective, stated that Cindy told him she would quit cooperating if he questioned her father. :waitasec:
YES, I have never forgotten that. And later figured out it was to keep the truth about the poor ole granddad getting ripped off by the sociopath. So Cindy was protecting Casey and the family image from the beginning. Makes me so mad.........

Mad? Didn't it make you a wee tad suspicious?

I think that played a huge factor in it.. but I think after the "fight" KC was already furious at prospect of being kicked out and decided she would take Caylee with her because NO WAY was Grandma gonna "win".. however, i think it probably wasnt long before KC realized that poor little Caylee was putting a 'cramp' in her party life..may have been acting up as every child will do.. and honestly, I think she took her anger towards Cindy, coupled with whatever the immediate situational anger was out on that innocent little baby..

I think it comes down to Casey having a learned disrespect for Authority.

She didn't/doesn't seem to have an ounce of respect for her parents.
She seems to have no respect for human life (adoption, murder)
She clearly has no respect for Authority - Police, L.E. - (lying to, misleading)
And it is very clear that she obviously has no respect for the ultimate Authority: God

When we, as parents, continue to enable, rescue, and make excuses for our children and do not punish them for their misdeeds, we are guilty of CREATing just this kind of a person. Sad, and scary.

Thanks for responding to this Patty, I have seen this mentioned before but did not comment. I too did not get my HSD but today I hold a career that requires a 4 year degree, I got this job through years of hard work and experience. :)

That's how I got my position in 1989 as Executive Assistant at 42, solely on my hard work and life experience and at 52 as Mgr. of HR.

OT- As a loyal OSU Buckeye fan it makes me ill to see Lee wearing a Buckeye hat. The pictures of Casey in OSU garb makes me want to throw up. What's wrong with the Gators? UF...take this family please? Buckeye fans don't want to be associated with them.

O/T Hold on there, Fireball. No can do. What's WRONG with the Gators? Apparently nothing, they ROCK!!:blowkiss:

Seriously, here's a few hats I'd like to see her wear:

FSP (Florida State Prison)
DOC (Dept of Corrections)
I was on National Enquirer
Death Row (Records)
Jose Baez defended me and all I got was this stupid hat.

All babies deserve more. No child should be born to a mother who can love only herself. Caylee was fortunate in her too brief time on earth to know the love of grandparents who obviously thought the sun rose and set with her. She's a happy girl in the videos, and very well taken care of. Casey took that away because she's a selfish vengeful witch. She will pay for her crimes eventually. Unfortunately no punishment can not undo what she's done.

Oh, I hope you know I value all children (I have 6:)). I was just specific to Caylee because we are discussing her life right now. Sorry I was not more clear.

Boy, oh boy, I sure hope that wasn't the case at all! But one never knows what went on with Casey! :(

Actually once I heard about the "weed" from Leonard on TV, I was concerned if Casey ever did this while Caylee was in the room. Inhaling that stuff second hand gives the person a buzz too! I know that one from first-hand experience when someone smoked that stuff and I was in a closed room (many moons ago, late 60's.) Oh my goodness! :)

My mind has shut down after trying to figure out what Casey did with Caylee during the day when she was "working"... this is what makes me think someone knows something about what Casey did during the day.

I love those hat suggestions!! Much better than a Buckeye or Gator.

the" JB defended me and all I got was this stupid hat " is the best!!

I know most won't agree with me, but I feel so sorry for Cindy. She tried to do the right thing in attempting to throw Casey out and keep Caylee. I'm sure she feels quite a bit of guilt - if she hadn't confronted Casey none of this would have happened. I wonder if that's why she refuses to believe Casey harmed Caylee. If she accepts the truth, she has to accept that her actions (although they were right) started the whole string of events that led to Caylee's disappearance and likely her death.

Have not finished reading this entire thread, but I am with you. The fact she had to go to counseling to verify the best answer (kicking KC out) is such a shame. Here she finally gets the nerve to do so and look what the darling does." Loses her child."

So this would be why grandma believes Caylee to be alive. Still believes its a payback gone wrong. Still in her heart hopes that KC is for once telling the truth. Do I believe she is hiding evidence or known where about of where Caylee may rest at this time? I don't know. I just feel angrier at KC t for causing intense grief for her family and grief and anger for the rest of us. I pray to God even more urgently that Caylee is found and KC is given the harsh punishment she deserves. Maybe then she'll "get it".

Amen I agree with you times 10!

I felt sorry for Cindy... up until the time she started taking back her original statements about the car odor and making excuses for that "person" she calls her daughter. The horrible way she's treated the people trying to help is just the icing on the cake.

Sorry, but I cannot find it in my heart to feel sorry for Cindy. KC's been stealing and lying much of her life. At no point, did anyone try to teach her to be responsible, or get her help. Enabling makes personality disordered individuals WORSE.

Judge Mathis said that he is not a criminal, because the first time he got into legal trouble, his mom let him sit in jail. He got no money, no housing, no bail, no support of any kind, as long as he continued to commit crimes.

Ok if this story is true about the fight, that Cindy saw a counselor for help Nancy Grace also just reported she told Casey during the fight to find a JOB which means Cindy and George KNEW she did NOT have a job. So they lied to police officers, when they said she went off to work just like any other day. This whole family LIES!

I didn't graduate from high school either. I left high school in my Junior year at the age of 16, to go to work to keep a roof over my head and my brother's as my mother tried to commit suicide.

I managed to get a great job, and my last poisition in life, I was the Executive Assistant to the President of a Chemical Company and then was Human Resource Manager later on within the company.

I got my FULL high school diploma when I was 45 and I will be 61. Just because someone doesn't have a high school diploma doesn't mean they can't go out and get a good job and earn good wages.

But, you have a work ethic, and no sense of entitlement. You are nothing like KC.

BTW-- Good on YOU!

After reading that she was advised by a councilor to get kick Casey out of the house and her worries about Casey taking Caylee, and being advised to try to get custody of the little one. Then watching the raw video of George loosing it with the protesters, and what Cindy is saying, this poor woman is in denial.

Yes, she is not out looking for Caylee, I think that she is hoping that Casey will finally point out where Caylee is. Seeing Cindy talk to the protester about what she feels and believes got to me. I do not know about anyone else, but this woman loves this baby. And if Caylee is gone, well Casey did it to get back at Cindy for trying to take away her "Party Time" and money.

Yes, Cindy is in denial. However this is a woman that has been in this baby's life for almost three years, everyday. Raising her as if she was born from her owm womb.

I was a single mother of my daughter at age 21. I moved back home when my daughter was 4 months old because of certain circumstances. My mom looked after my daughter everyday while I was at work, full time, 40 hours a week. I took care of her when I was home, however my mom was my daughter second mom. We moved out when she was 2, however we lived just next door. My parents still took care of my daughter when I was working. I am now married and have two little boys. My daughter is now 11 and I still live next door. They are there when we need help.

My parents see my kids as their own sometimes. They are always there. I can see why Cindy is in denial with this all. My mother would act differently of course, however, she is hurting also everyone. I do feel very sorry for her.

Cindy has no right to keep Caylee.

I understand where your coming from, but in order for Cindy to gain custody, Cindy would have to go through the court system to prove Casey to be an unfit mother. Cindy just can't kick out Casey without Caylee going with her.

If Cindy tried to keep Caylee, all Casey had to do was call the police and Caylee would have been turned over to Casey anyway.

I feel there was an argument in the home on June 8 or 9th FIRST and Casey left with Caylee. Remember Cindy said: "Casey left with Caylee on June 8 or 9th to bond with Caylee." I always found that such a odd statement considering Caylee was already 2 1/2 years old.

I feel there was another argument on June 15th about the money from Casey's grandparents.

IMO, If anything, Cindy should have done something regarding Casey actions long before Caylee was even born.

I agree with that last sentence, entirely.

I agree, too. I always felt like maybe Cindy was in denial, but I also thought that deep down she may have felt a little bit responsible for them leaving, which may have been why she was in such denial. She did what she needed to do, but she should've done it long before Casey got this out of control. I do wonder why Casey didn't just give her up to Cindy, though. She could've left her with Cindy, and moved on with her life and enjoyed the party lifestyle that she obviously was yearning for, and no one would have gotten hurt. Poor Caylee.

Don't get me wrong here because I am horrified by the behavior and attitude of all of the Anthony family....But just as "personality disorders" are not considered usable in an insanity defense, I believe it would be difficult to use in an attempt to gain custody. I also believe that Casey had manipulated this family to the breaking point .I would guess that the "guilt" of not stopping Casey from taking Caylee is destroying Cindy's mental health. I do think the entire family has a sense of entitlement that makes them disgusting to all of us but they have had a fairly unwinnable situation for most of Casey's life. The fact that they are a##holes doesnt help either. IMO

But, Cindy could have used the behaviors to get custody. The lying, the stealing, the unwillingness to either finish school or work. Especially the stealing. I think an excellent case could have been made that she would not be a fit mother.
