At some point, and hopefully soon, the lure of and obsession with Arias will abate and people will refrain from seeing everything through the hazy lens filter of All-Arias-All-the-Time. This disordered murderer has been treated by a rapt audience as if she is the most important and most dangerous killer evah evah to walk the earth, by those who spend a lot of waking time hating her. She feeds off all that energy, even the negative energy. The family of TA feeling that way is understandable, as are his closest friends, but she has captured thousands upon thousands who hang on every possible detail.
I have watched this case since the day the story broke. I am fascinated with people and what motivates them to do what they do. Jodi is extremely interesting to me because her behavior continues to be so far outside of what is expected. I also find Travis's inability to break away from someone he knew in his gut was capable of exactly what she did, interesting. Having grown up in an abusive house, I think I find Travis's actions more interesting than Jodi's. I can relate to Travis and before I got help, would put myself in very dangerous situation with people I knew were bad news.
With that said, I to not think Jodi is the "is the most important and most dangerous killer evah evah to walk the earth" I do not spent my waking moments obsessing about her, and no one and nothing in my life has suffered as a result of my interest in this case. I do not think for one second, my feelings about her provide her with anything to "feed off". The only thought I direct toward Jodi on a daily basis is I pray for her. I pray her heart will be soften, her eyes will be open and she will fall to her knees and repent of what she did before she dies. That is the energy I am sending Jodi.
I will make no apologies for my interest in this case or any others.
