At some point, and hopefully soon, the lure of and obsession with Arias will abate and people will refrain from seeing everything through the hazy lens filter of All-Arias-All-the-Time. This disordered murderer has been treated by a rapt audience as if she is the most important and most dangerous killer evah evah to walk the earth, by those who spend a lot of waking time hating her. She feeds off all that energy, even the negative energy. The family of TA feeling that way is understandable, as are his closest friends, but she has captured thousands upon thousands who hang on every possible detail.

I have watched this case since the day the story broke. I am fascinated with people and what motivates them to do what they do. Jodi is extremely interesting to me because her behavior continues to be so far outside of what is expected. I also find Travis's inability to break away from someone he knew in his gut was capable of exactly what she did, interesting. Having grown up in an abusive house, I think I find Travis's actions more interesting than Jodi's. I can relate to Travis and before I got help, would put myself in very dangerous situation with people I knew were bad news.
With that said, I to not think Jodi is the "is the most important and most dangerous killer evah evah to walk the earth" I do not spent my waking moments obsessing about her, and no one and nothing in my life has suffered as a result of my interest in this case. I do not think for one second, my feelings about her provide her with anything to "feed off". The only thought I direct toward Jodi on a daily basis is I pray for her. I pray her heart will be soften, her eyes will be open and she will fall to her knees and repent of what she did before she dies. That is the energy I am sending Jodi.
I will make no apologies for my interest in this case or any others.

Could someone kindly provide the link for the sidebar thread? I can't find it using my phone and don't have a computer at home. Thanks in advance!

I find it interesting that some people can't break free of the case and come back time and again to lecture others on whether they should break free. When the case is done for each person, they will leave. It is no one else's cause to judge when that is or what it will take. Interest, as so often pointed out, does not mean obsession or some kind of weird hero worship of a killer. I want to see the killer sentenced. I would hope that JSS will give some kind of peace to the Alexander family in her words and sentence. I don't necessarily think she will, but she should after what her court has put them through with all the secret meetings forcing them to be in close quarters with their dear Travis' killer.

Your thoughts are logical and more charitable than mine, Beccaboo. Justice finally for Travis.

You are the second person today that described this monster perfectly. Kim Anne Whittemore, wrote an e-book about her and she describes her as average looking woman who knew how to use blond hair dye, breast implants, cosmetics and sexual acrobatics for maximum effect. Unlike the mass media portraying her as a beautiful photographer and bomb shell beauty, she was just a 32 year old average looking part time waitress from Yreka, CA that liked to take pictures of herself and edit them.

What a perfect description. She is what my guy friends back in the college days would have called a "miler". She looks good from a mile away.

Does anyone think that if Travis was not LDS they would happily ever after?

*Random thought*

Well, nothing lasts forever, but that was his conflict. He certainly enjoyed the acrobatics, though. He was guided into PPL through LDS friends and may never have met Jodi had he not. JMO

Tick-tock. Tick-tock. Tick-tock. How's that clock working for you, Jodi? You might have stopped Travis from marrying someone else and moving forward with his life without you, but you can't stop the hands of time. You will be sentenced on Monday and will likely spend the rest of your natural life in prison. Your future days will be far removed from the life you imagined you'd have with Travis. I wish you had been a dead-woman-walking but will be pleased to see your perp walk as bailiffs escort you out of the courthouse so you can begin your new life at Perryville.

Nope. Travis and Jodi would not have made it under any circumstances because Jodi is incapable of mutuality beneficial, mature relationship. That is one of the BPD symptoms. They put people into hero status very quickly and at the smallest perceived slight, then put the same person in zero status.

I never understood the descriptions of Jodi that referred to her as a great beauty. I always thought she was kind of average looking. It was the same with Casey Anthony and Amanda Knox. I didn't find any of these women to be exceptionally good looking by any stretch. All 3 seemed pretty average to me. :twocents:

I think that would require her to not be evil. IOW, I do not think Travis died a brutal death just because he was LDS. I think he died a brutal death because his killer was and is EVIL.
If it was not him it would have been someone else.

Amanda Knox is very attractive IMO - Casey Anthony not so much and Ms Arias would come last in that particular triumvirate of unpleasant women were I rating them. Arias needed make-up and all the other bells and whistles to look OK and even then, most of her photos were supposedly touched up. She certainly looks ordinary these days. I know we're are not supposed to talk about outward appearances, but IMO it's in context because, as others have mentioned, that has been a big part of the narrative - the 'beautiful photographer' when the reality is the rather plain waitress. Not that there's anything wrong with being a waitress, or plain, but 'beautiful photographer' looks and sounds better to the media's eyes and ears.

BBM - First off, I sincerely doubt that most people spend much of their waking time hating CMJA. IMO, her level of manipulation is staggering, before the murder, and throughout the court case. That is why so many are riveted by this case. Interest doesn't = hate.

I started following this case (after the Tot Mom travesty), and I'm seeing it through. Psychopaths fascinate people, because their disordered thinking process, and subsequent actions are so contrary to what we ourselves would think or do. I think observing the actions of a psychopath, and the effect they have on others in their sphere of influence is valuable and interesting. It is also egregious, so you are going to see derogatory comments, and there is nothing wrong with that. Jodi is as close to evil (inhuman) as you can get, so people are paying attention (we can learn what to do/not do if we encounter a "jodi"). Jodi Ann Arias needs to be locked up, and she will be, for the rest of her life. I know from your posts that you are invested in this case. The sentencing is April 13th, and Jodi will disappear into the bowels of Perryville. You will move on, but reading, seeing, or hearing anything about CMJA after that will be your choice to make.

I have spent way too much of my life energy dealing with a psychopath and this experience has drawn me to true crime and websleuths. It fascinates me how they can create an alternate universe and hypnotize people to see life the way they do. How people can still believe them even after overwhelming evidence of lies - lies - lies!!!

Psychopaths have the personality of SATAN  All believing they are so special :snowflake:, but deep inside they are all very much alike and very vile.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Mikee Daniels has a new video on youtube.

In time Jodi will be allowed to interact with the population. They will be the worst of the worst. It will be a form of justice.

:seeya: Good Morning, Y'all !

I can totally relate! :grouphug:

I've spent the last 20 years dealing with the same thing.... and it also drew me to this website back in 2006.

Amazing and Frustrating to say the least. In time though those who have been hypnotized by their "charms" eventually have their eyes opened. Sadly sometimes it may be too late. :(

Good Riddance CMJA!

beautiful pic :)

on the subject of the heat in PV:

CMJA should have little or no trouble dealing with the heat for two reasons,
1. she testified she had no trouble sleeping day or night in a car or UHall parked on the shoulder of a highway deep in the desert. Testifying to doing this on several occasions including the first week of June!

2. I strongly believe she is part lizard. lol Not trying to give lizards a bad name simply that her behavior can be characterized like that of a non human creature.

That whole story about sleeping on the side of the road always bothered me but perhaps someone more familiar with desert conditions can help me out. thanks.
