Yes... I have on PayPal. It's very common and pretty easy these days...

Unreal!!! One things for sure she's never lacking for something totally psychopathic to say!!

The section on Travis Alexander's tires is crazy. She knows exactly how much they cost. She claims to have been silently listening in the room with Travis when he calls Samantha to get her thoughts (Sam told him Jodi did it). But she couldn't have done it because her Infinity was so awesome it would be remembered leaving the scene. Plus she didn't know where Travis had been when these "incidents" happened..just that he was not home

Has anyone here ever opened an account online?

I opened an account with my son a few years ago for a business we work on together and it was so much more involved than it used to be. I can't imagine how it would be possible to open an account online.

...I wanted to add, that from what I'm reading on here it sounds like it's a lot harder to open a regular account these days! we've had our regular accounts for years so we haven't had to go through it... Plus, we also have very good relationships with our bankers so it's easy for us to do what we need to.

And if the mutliple accounts were used to try to limit reporting, here is the proper term for the illegal activity called "structuring". Below explains it.....

"Structuring, also known as smurfing in banking industry jargon, is the practice of executing financial transactions (such as the making of bank deposits) in a specific pattern calculated to avoid the creation of certain records and reports required by law, such as the United States's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Internal Revenue Code section 6050I (relating to the requirement to file Form 8300).[1].....

Structuring includes the act of parceling what would otherwise be a large financial transaction into a series of smaller transactions to avoid scrutiny by regulators or law enforcement. Structuring often appears in federal indictments related to money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes. "

Now I am wondering if one of the Jodi-ites wasn't a Jodi-ite after all and may have faked being one in order to be able to stay on the site and learn the particulars. Maybe someone the supporters thought they could trust.

IMO

A mole?

"First, let me correct a flaw in your question. It was a headstand. Furthermore, had the local authorities not been so blind to the sanctity of my privacy, the question would never have arisen, so no answer will be forthcoming. However, I trust you have found this interchange enlightening, and therefore look forward to a more considered question from you at some future time."

Lol. She said she "rolls her eyes that Cancun could even be suggested as a motive". She even "looked up jealous in the dictionary to be as accurate as possible" writing about this. Her going was never discussed and it's just simplistic for people to think she would be upset that a guy she broke up with a year ago didn't take her on a trip "of that caliber"

We have too. That's why I was so surprised at the hoops we had to jump through to open this account. We basically just wanted this account because our son was doing a lot of purchasing for us and we wanted to be able to transfer money to it online if he found something we wanted to buy.

We have several accounts at that bank so I just didn't understand.

Thanks for that! Now I know I just have nosy tellers!

Next time you make a big withdrawal just tell them you're hiring a hitman or something!! ;0)

I think since 9-11 a lot has changed... especially in banking..

I really think that the SJ guy may have been embezzling a lot of it... And think how much he could have scammed off of his CA is innocent site too!! He's a con who makes a living off of the deranged people who support KILLERS!!!

I'm getting dizzy from all the twist and unexpected turns in this BETTER than Hollywood fiasco!!!

After having finally caught up with today's episode of "As the Stomach Churns", that was my first question about all this money supposedly being collected. What's in it for the key players? How much are they making off this scam? If JA is taking at least $400 a month for herself and they need 14 accounts to try to hide the money, $4100 in one month, what are the others getting? How many are getting paid and who are they? How much is in the "protected" Appelate Fund?

My second question is how have they been maintaining this for almost 7 years? I don't think I've seen more than 300 "Likes" on any of the multiple support pages. Are these people paying some kind of monthly fee to be a part of the "Friends of JA" club? How many of those fake drawings are they selling?

I'm usually going to the casino and I really hate admitting it, LOL. But, the IRS is well aware due to my profit and loss statements at the end of the year LOL.

Oh, this is getting exciting!!! Can't wait...

Maybe your local branch has their own policies in place too where that branch may decide to keep their own special reporting on smaller balance amounts that meet their own smaller limit.
I could see that happening if it is a rather small town and small branch. They may decide to self report on a smaller limit.

Well, let's see... They've all bought survivor tshirts, white bracelet bands, then blue bracelet bands (b/c jodi threw a tantrum and they had to throw the white ones away), a "diagram" or two (signed by the conArtist)... What else?

It's not only possible, those banks that are online only and have no brick and mortar locations exist. I am not that trusting to use one of those banks although one I was reading about had very good reputable ratings on a financial site and at the time, it was listed as paying the highest interest for regular savings accounts.

I think they'll have a hard time being accepted mainstream, but they do exist. It wouldn't be possible ja to open one, but certainly her family members and friends could and then just add her name onto them. Who knows what they've done - hopefully, we'll be finding out soon. :D

Looking forward to hard proof!

Remember, it did tell Troy Hayden that it had "substantial" funds and no way is $4100 considered substantial when you're talking about legal bills. I believe she has a LOT of money donated to her there are so many rabid fans or hangers on. (aka clingons)

*diagram was what JM called the pinwheel drawing, I thought that was perfect since they really are nothing more than tracings

That could be. But thinking about it, I usually take 5000 and I do that every few months so they may be checking on the smurfing thing. But, they do know us well enough to know where our money comes from and this has been our habit for years so, hmmm.

I'll bet it is just the policy at that bank. They have also called to verify checks before that are to a store that we don't usually shop at so that tells you how small town it is LOL.

I guess that ain't all bad.
