Re watching yesterday's "surprise" DP episode.
Lin Wood stated he threatened the DA into clearing the Ramsey's. I think he is very sue happy. Sue anyone who is not doing as LW wants them to do.

*Puke* I don't know how defense lawyers live with themselves honestly.
Also he made a very profound statement "an intruder didn't levitate in then levitate out of the house" (paraphrasing)
Well
You are very right Lin Wood! And all the evidence points to that exact fact. Because there was no intruder to begin with.
Also if I'm wrong correct me, but can't footprints be found in say...dirt, window seal dust, and anywhere else?
I never once let the snow and footprints even play a role in my reasoning. It wasn't really important to me. Whether there was snow or not hasn't really bothered me.
Nor did it sway my thoughts of who did the crime.
The fact that there was no footprints in the dirt or the window grate area, however, does seem to be important.
So no. Snow hasn't really ever bothered me in regards to this case. Whether there was snow or not doesn't even matter.

And the smiling.to get that sum for telling a bunch of lies.id be happy too i guess

To be fair, Burke was smiling in his interview(s) at 9 and then again at 11. There's video of it, so it's not just a new thing. I think that's just Burke's "atypical" behavior.

Also Dr. Phil... they did look into many other possible suspects. They were ruled out for the most part. And no the Ramsey's weren't cooperative! Ugh.

Now that JR claims the flashlight and BR claims to be downstairs where the wiped down flashlight was found and it just so happens to be a perfect match to the skull fracture, just what did they accomplish ?

Seems they have put the murder weapon in BR's room.

Can someone please help me with info about the flashlight comments?

I did not hear Burke say he used a flashlight to go downstairs. He said he does not remember. Did I miss a segment? He said this in the 2nd half of DP Part 2 episode.

I also have not heard JR say he used a flashlight. I DID hear Dr Phil say that JR said (apparently to him, Dr Phil? Idk) that he used a flashlight. But I never heard JR state this himself. Did he actually state this, and if so, when and where (i.e., on Dr Phil, a book?)?

I don't love these edited interviews. You never know what they've cut out or the full context of a statement when they chop it up.

YEP.same re the pinapple issue .they know the CBS show will be heavy stuff and they presented the " innocent" explanations before it airs.i stick with my gut feeling this time.after all the media madness is over IDI will have once again a better score.all yhis BR stuff was a clever move IMO.

Well, you know what they say: the guilty dog barks first.

I also heard Burke on DP say he did not remember using the flashlight. Yes, it was DP who said John Ramsey used a flashlight but I have never heard Patsy or John make such a statement. They have always denied that the flashlight belonged to them.

So, DP is making up facts like JR using a flashlight to put BR to bed and LW didn't clarify this?

What is clear is that none of these players are trying to get to the bottom of this murder and find the culprit.

. . .

But the new series coming up will show us what the 6 original investigators have found and they will solve the case and tell us who they think killed JBR!

Strong indication that PR authored the note. We have determined that a woman wrote it and it came from the house. She was the only woman there.

Will discuss all the DNA indicators, Henry Lee will be there and we will show that the tDNA is not relevant at all and actually comes from the packaging process.

(just heard all this on FOX news)

And now we know why DP had the love fest show.

andreww,
Whatever you think came first is what I have BR down for. It was the parents who organized the staging, e.g. ransom note, ligature, restraints, etc, whatever Burke did it will have been patently amateurish and disorganized.

I have an idea that BR is all smiles on Dr Phil, precisely because he has been media coached, and his smiley enthusiasm is because Dr Phil has gone out of his way to make Burke feel at ease, and Follow The Script, so on some obvious questions no way is BR going say Yes I did that, or I was there when it happened, but on the scripted questions BR is hesitant, i.e. the pineapple: Maybe, BR knows he is playing a game with Dr Phil, but its serious too.

So I would not be surprised if BR has tale to tell about eating pineapple Christmas Night, after all, his answer was Maybe and he can make anything up, and who can say otherwise, certainly not JR.

.

I don't think he is smiling on purpose. I just think he's isn't a good actor and can't fake being sad or distraught. I feel that when he is uncomfortable, his uncontrollable reaction is a smile. I think that if he were genuinely sad, he would look sad, but he has disconnected from Jonbenet and simply has no feelings about her. He never appeared to be sad that he grew up as an only child. He never once said he missed her. I believe he was very jealous of the attention that JB was getting and that he was actually glad she was gone.

BTW, if you watch Burke in the original police tapes, doing cartwheels in his chair, it shows that he is uncomfortable. Any person that has lost a family member to crime, including kids, will be anxious to help. They would not feel uncomfortable. The professionals that interview children are trained to make them feel at ease. Burke has been keeping a secret all these years. Im not positive exactly what it is, but at this point, if anybody is going to crack, it'll be Burke.

I am watching the Questions and Answers on DP regarding the Burke interview. Yes, Dr. Phil is pro Ramsey. He stated the police were bias and prejudiced and targeted the Ramseys from the beginning. Wow!! I guess Dr. Phil having Lin Wood as an attorney steered DP in that direction. Also, I am sure to get the interview he told Burke, JR and Lin Wood he would take their side.

Just a couple things about the Dr Phil Rebuttal from yesterday...He states he is just talking the facts! Well good for him I want to know where he got his facts because in the real world if there were actual FACTS then he would not be having these shows the case would have been solved.
Did you notice before they would got to commercial break DP would state the next question that was going to be asked and then when they came back from the commercial break he would call on a person and they would almost ask the identical question verbatum. Like he was coaching them this is how you ask it before the break. I find this was done so he had control on the questions and the answers were already prepared. He never venture off on one of his rants for an answer. Stuck to his "facts".
I may be way off BUT if the intruder was in the house before the Ramseys returned home as speculated and laid waiting and MAYBE both kids were downstairs playing with their new Christmas toys as BR stated AND this was kidnapping why not grab both of them and ask for twice as much money? Perfect opportunity!
Also if I was one of the Ramsey's and I woke up to my child kidnapped and had another child still in their bed you damn right that kid would be glued to my side or one of the parents with him so he is not left out of their sight being the kidnapper is still out there. No BR is left in his room, along and then shipped off to his friends house. They certaining were not worry someone could take BR too. But then lightening does not strike twice I am sure they thought.
This is all my opinon

I would have immediately removed him from the house...with police escort. ...after seeing the letter..

So wait. Did Dr Phil do a second show, or are you all watching yesterday's re-run?

1. I don't expect him to be sad and distraught 20 years later. And when he was 9, dealing with his sister being killed, I wouldn't even expect him to fully "get it" - I'm sure they tried to shield him from the sh**storm. How do you know he never said he missed her? Or do you mean during this one short interview 20 years after the fact? I don't expect him to be pining for his sister all these years later. I'd expect more sadness about the loss of his mother, but not ongoing distress.

2. Any person who has lost a family member to crime...would not feel uncomfortable? I think a ten year old kid being "interviewed" by some man he's never met before about the murder of his sister would be uncomfortable.

Yes, this. I'd have a tight grip on my other kid! To me, this was a huge red flag, along with the crazy ransom note.

It's interesting and obviously calculated that the CBS series starts on Sunday night and the final DrP/Burke episode is the next day.

Dr. Phil interviewed Burke on Sept. 12 and another show on Sept 13. On September 15 at the beginning of another DP show (not about JonBenet) Dr. Phil answers questions regarding his interviews with Burke. There is suppose to be another Burke interview show on Monday Sept 19.

Sorry, forgot to copy. This response is to expat79,

I never ever have believed the sex assault and strangling was staged.. it's the kind of assault that would be performed by a curious child. Penetrating with a paint brush..making knots is a boyish pastime , he may have seen a garrott in a movie or tv show. I think the toy he wanted to play with in the basement was JBR.

I believe he coldly and methodically killed his sister.

Jealousy
Urinating
Children and sexual aggression book
Taken to bed with a flashlight
Hiding out in his room
Describing the murder to therapist

It was probably BR who was abusing her.

I expect way more to come, way more...

I agree with you wholeheartedly! I just can't understand putting him on the Dr Phil show after all these years! What a risky move! Not to mention that Burke's private life is officially over.

I wondered if BR did the interview to get that chunk of money and be out from under daddy's thumb for the first time in his life. I know I could disappear and live an enjoyable life with that kind of money.

If he brutally murdered John's daughter, forget about his thumb - he's lucky he has been free all these years. He owes everything to his dad.

Thanks. So, did the people in the audience, if this was taped, did they get to see clips of his interview with Burke in advance? Was this added segment live or taped? From another comment, it sounds like it had to be taped ... ?
