This is such great news! I honestly wasn't sure this day would ever come for Dylan and Elaine and Cory, but I'm so glad it has.

Bellingham is very close to the Canadian border. I wonder if MR was trying to go into hiding in Canada.

I hate to say it but I doubt the pictures will ever get admitted as evidence in the trial - too prejudicial.

Reading through the Dr Phil transcripts reminded me of one of our favorite terms over the years to describe Mark's explanations: "Word Salad" !!!

ETA: There's got to be some kind of mistake here... I mean he's capable of killing his son obviously, but to dismember him also? That would put him in a different category...? When did he do that? That night? The next day when he "took a nap" while his son was supposedly missing? Or when he went to see his lawyer? Will he use that same lawyer? Gitana, so the lawyer might have known but couldn't say anything due to attorney client priviledge...is it possible for that confession if there is a confession to be used in court or no, protected? I have a million questions. Doesn't sound like they will need that confession anyway, if there is one, due to all the evidence...hard to process all of this even though we pretty much knew all this.

Did he say 99 percent of his son is scattered everywhere?

It is just awful, isn't it, to think that a knife was used as a tool, rather than a weapon. It can only mean one thing.

(I'm sorry quick O/T question, have other dad's ever killed in dismembered their own son that you huys seen in a case...just wondering just hoooowwwwww messed up MR really is, I mean it's hard for him to be considered more messed uo than what he already is, but, from a forensic psychology perspective...I was just reading about tool marks while researching profiling on the FBI/BAU's site...)

There's a point in this uncut interview with MR from back in Feb 2013 when he is speaking about Dylan texting "that night" & of the few places where Dylan could get cell service in that house --- AT 13:25 minute mark he says "was from the corner of the couch where he was sitting which has been changed but right by the tv there..."

You can probably try to explain away the blood but to have so much blood so many places would be more than simple cut that would not require a hospital I would say. Between the cadaver dogs , the blood and the marks on the skull , I don't think there's a lot of room for a lawyer to get him off. Skibaboo posted earlier about tool marks on the skull. I shudder to think what that means.

The indictment doesn't mention the quantity of blood found but it does mention that Dylan's blood was found in multiple locations.

That suggests to me that perhaps a clean up occurred. When most people get a minor cut they deal with it quickly and don't bleed all over the place.

When a struggle or fight occurs with a person injured and bleeding the blood can end up in multiple places. JMO

Here's a link to the HRD dog handler Carren Corcoran's website who's dog Molly alerted to the scent of human remains in this case.

Carren’s current partner is Molly a female German Shepherd born in July 2006. Molly was given up to an
informal rescue at approximately 8 months old. The kind soul who took Molly in immediately observed that
Molly was a very busy dog who needed a job. Badgerland German Shepherd again directed Carren to
Molly who has proven to be a delight to work. Molly affectionately called Bitty due to her ‘itty bitty’ size
began HRD training immediately and currently obtains national cadaver certification through NNDDA or
NAPWDA. Bitty has participated in approximately 45 searches to date in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota,
Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario Canada. She has had several confirmed finds and her work has been
confirmed by the Wisconsin State Crime Lab and crime scene technicians. Molly’s indications have assisted
in obtaining 4 search warrants in Wisconsin.

I'm really impressed with Carren Corcoran after reading this on her website.

While an HRD dog can differentiate between animal and human blood, they cannot assist in determining if the blood at a crime scene came from a victim who was alive or a victim who was deceased. If there is any
uncertainty as to whether your victim is alive or deceased, we can provide recommendations to handlers
with dual-purpose search dogs that will alert on both live and deceased victims. A dog trained in HRD
only will not alert on live victims unless, for example, blood is present on their clothing. If you think your
victim is alive and relatively uninjured, a dual-purpose dog is a better option.

This fact is hard for some to understand. The MSM media like to use the term "cadaver dogs" instead of the more accurate name Human Remains Detection or HRD dogs. That gives the false impression that the scent HRD dogs detect can only come from a dead human or "cadaver."

That is not true. But it is true that these amazing dogs do help in discovering evidence that leads to solving crimes like this one.

This part of the indictment is very minor but it keeps popping up in my head.

According to the indictment, Carrie Cochran, a neighbor, saw Mark Redwine's exterior front porch light on at 2 a.m. Nov. 19, and later while it was still dark out, noticed the light had been turned off. The significance of the observation is not clear, but it seems to suggest someone was awake during those early morning hours.

This tells us that someone decided to turn the outside light off after it had been on during the middle of the night but before the sun came up.

Was the light turned off to conceal movement that morning? Like removing Dylan's body and placing it into the bed of Mark's Dodge truck. JMO
