OK, I'll start with some of the names not named in the NYT layout.

11th floor:
Brad and Barry Cohen (unit #1110)
https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/miami-dade/miami-beach/article252421998.html
Gloria Machado (unit #1111)

Tzvi and Itty Ainsworth (renting; unit # unknown)
Florida tower collapse: Couple who lived in Australia among the missing
Simon Segal (unit # unknown)
Who is still missing in the Miami condo collapse? Here's what we know.

That leaves one apt on the 11th floor with unknown status. Five were occupied and one unoccupied.

this. just the most overwhelming sadness.....

So it does appear that they have placed monitors within the standing structure as we thought and discussed above. 6-12 inches...

"“Just last night, as we were actively producing our search and rescue efforts, our monitors went off,” said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Alan Cominsky. Cominsky said the halt is due to, “Six to 12 inches of moment in a large column hanging from the structure that could fall and cause damage to the support columns in the subterranean garage area.”

Another great article. The word "DEVELOPERS" is going to become worse than it already is!!

I live on a barrier island. The citizens protest big developers. And we have won a couple of big ones. (The wanted a race track, a bigger airport and gambling!!!)

Who is going to be willing to be on condo boards anymore? Or town commissions --the common county form of governance in Florida? A single vote can change EVERYTHING.

As this article states, Reiber won some of his bullying efforts "3-2"... a single layperson vote.

The love of mammon .....

Hidden treasure in Florida where they cannot build more than 5 stories... so no highrises.. Madeira Beach on the west coast. Old time Florida.. well, as much as it can be by prohibiting high rises. There are 3 I know of that restrict on west coast like such.

Many municipalities... $$$ with income from highrises and they let them in. MOO

Is it just me or does anyone else think the cities and counties should conduct independent inspections and condemn these buildings, as necessary. Yes, it would be wildly inconvenient for these homeowners, as well as costly, but it also could potentially save more lives.
100%, the city and county should be inspecting these buildings to ensure they're not coming down.

Someone upthread asked about how to help victims of the building collapse. Here's one article. When I pasted part of it below, the links didn't come, so visit the local10 site to find them.

Earlier on twitter I saw a post of a fixed camera pointed towards the remaining building that showed a time lapse of the movement of the building since last week. It was obvious. Can't post it as it was a scanner person.

Yesterday, I also read a news article saying over 20 buildings failed an inspection this past week but can't find it.

I'll keep looking so take that for what it's worth.

This must be what I read yesterday. It's the County of Miami-Dade inspections. No failed inspections...

Cities Ramp Up Building Inspections After Deadly Surfside Collapse

The Miami-Dade County Mayor ordered a 30-day audit of buildings that have passed the country’s required 40-year recertification process last Friday, and called on cities to do the same for properties in their jurisdictions.

The county narrowed their initial audit to properties five stories or higher and identified 24 properties in unincorporated areas that required review. “We’ll be immediately reviewing any concerns with each building to address any outstanding issues,” Mayor Daniella Levine Cava tweeted Monday evening.

Thank you for the correction. That would make his apt level a penthouse. One of the relatives reported that he lived on the 11th floor.

There's also another discrepancy about Moises Rodan who, according to a reporter, lived in unit #308. That unit is still standing.

Appears over 10% of the units were owned by corporations or LLC's. Some of the LLC's could have just been created for "check book" purposes, but actually held inside of retirement accounts of individuals.
(When I get rich I am going to have everything I own held in so many LLC's, my LLC's will be held by other LLC's!) My point? Do any of the LLC's or Corp's have individuals who were their reps and were a part of the board? Hmmm....lots of financial layers to go through.

Trusts often have an LLC or other business entity. I have a trust and technically it is the owner of my house.

Looks like this thread is not necessarily updated or changed as people are identified. So I am wandering if Moises when that was posted by Frances hadn't contacted his family. It'd be nice if she would go back and maybe edit or delete the tweet (can't remember if you can even edit) to say if they are accounted for.

Our county just passed new height restrictions last month. Only 45 feet on oceanfront, and 35 feet everywhere else... !!!

It was a big win to residents, a bust to developers.

AND it was a 3-2 vote. ONE person put height restrictions into law.....

#308
That’s where the HOA President lives.

Rodan’s cousin also lived there:
Levine was a cousin of Moises Rodan, who lived in a unit on the third floor.
“They had two apartments in the building, and it was kind of like those neighbors who are always walking from one unit to other,” Beniflah said.
