You all need to go to that link..After they talk about GZ's 2005 arrest,Politics nation comes on and they have 2 prosecutors and a detective who say GZ was under arrest that night and should NOT have been released. They also said if GZ is not charged within 170 or 175 days he cannot be arrested for it again........I am OUTRAGED by this.... ARREST ZIMMERMAN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMHO JMHO and all that

This is very, very important. Lawyers will say he HAS been arrested, if it works for them. For all of you who are crying about Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and worry about trouble, you should read this. The lawyers will game the system and try to prevent justice from being served. Injustice is what breeds radicalism!!!

I seen a new picture of him today on television, but I'm not going to go looking for it because it's a picture of him at party, and I see nothing wrong with going to a party, as long as your child had not been kidnapped that day?

I used to watch CNN all the time but don't much anymore so I have no clue who this Toure guy is....he is intelligent I am sure and passionate...I just felt as a guest on another dude's program he should have not been so brash,IMO.

He is more a generation X journalist. He came up on VH-1 and MTV doing Music Reviews and things like that. I think he also writes for Rolling Stone, IIRC.

If you have any experience around the cases on WS you know it seems like it takes forever to get an arrest even if its quite clear to all the posters who the guilty party is.

I see some real problems with Zimmerman's story. He calls the non-911 number to report a suspicious male walking down the street. Ok, sounds normal so far. We know that Trayvon was wearing a hooded sweatshirt but Zimmerman claims that this male has his hands in his waistband. Now, I was going to ask for a photo of Trayvon in a hooded sweatshirt to see if it would have been possible for Zimmerman to see Trayvon's hands in his waistband but one was put on the thread before I got to the end. I know that my 14 year old daughter has a couple of hooded sweatshirts and the only way for her to have her hands in her pants pockets or her waistband is to pull up the bottom of the sweatshirt. We have also found out that the Skittles and Arizona Iced Tea were still in the pocket part of the hooded sweatshirt so I would say that it is unlikely that the bottom of the sweatshirt was pulled up. Next we have Trayvon walking up towards Zimmerman's truck, again I can believe that as Trayvon was walking home. However, I do not believe that Trayvon walked toward the truck to check Zimmerman out. This next part I would like some help with if ConcernedPapa is willing to help with his wonderful map of the area and where Trayvon was killed at and where Zimmerman's truck was at. How long on the call is there from the point we hear the truck door close to the point where Zimmerman says ok in response to being told that "we don't need you to do that"? Based on the average amount of time that a person would walk fast or run in a certain amount of time, where would Zimmerman have been during that point of the conversation with the dispatcher? Also, and this is a big one for me, Zimmerman had made numerous calls to police in the past and knows what their ETA is for arriving at the scene. Are we to really believe that Zimmerman could not wait for those few minutes for police to arrive and that Zimmerman felt it was his duty to follow Trayvon to see where he went? Or can we come to the conclussion that Zimmerman, knowing how long he had till police arrived, used that time to set up an alibi for himself in order to teach that suspicious male a lesson?

A 17 year old male was killed that night. The police knew who killed him that night. No arrest was made and no thorough investigation was done to find out the truth about what happened. This is not about Trayvon being black. This is not about Zimmerman being white/hispanic. It would not matter if one were purple and the other were green. This is about a 17 year old male being killed and his killer being set free without the truth of the situation being known. PERIOD.

What I am trying to point out is the EMT's could not force him to go to the ER unless he was incoherent, unconscious or an immediate threat to himself or others. Barring all those George had the legal right to refuse further treatment.

If GZ refused treatment, wouldn't they make him sign a consent form saying that? I have no experience with this, but on a different forum a former EMT said where he had worked it was required in cases where the EMTs thought the person being treated should go for more treatment but refused.

I was being snarky when i said "always' but what I meant was that whenever I saw a segment on MSNBC or CNN, it was always that same football pic blown up in the background.

And those types of edits are added to the choice of pictures the media used. They ALWAYS use his 8th grade football picture and him as an 8th grader as opposed to more current pictures as a 6 ft 3 17 yr old. And then they use the old mugshot of GZ instead of the more recent business headshot in a suit.

No they don't, that's just not true.

Why is the media showing that pic of of GZ in that tux, obviously he looks nothing like that, it's obviously an older picture, but that's what's being put out there now. Is there something suspicious behind it?

Have you seen the current pictures of Trayvon being run, do you think his older pics make him look like a and that's why his earlier pics were shown?

the media is what it is, however there's still no doubt, in my mind, that Trayvon was profiled and presumed to be up to no good based on stereotyping. That's not based on bad reporting, that comes directly from GZ and his own camp. Is that acceptable?

I can understand if you are worried about the safety of the children, especially if it were at a busy time (people coming home from work), but why couldn't he have just nicely walked outside and asked the children to move to a safer location? Why did he have to call the cops on them?

As kids, we used to always play in the streets? Kickball, softball, etc... it's very rare to see houses with large enough yards for the neighborhood kids to get together at? I know it was when I was young? We used to play in the street all the time. We'd move when we seen a car coming and start playing again. Because none of us had big yards, the neighborhood parents wouldn't dare let us play for fear we'd accidentally break a window?

Did he call 911 or the non emergency line? I can see him doing that because it is just easier to have the LE talk to the kids about safety. A few years ago a few different families lived in my neighborhood and the parents did not keep an eye on their kids. There is no way I would have approached them or the kids, it would have created a hostile environment. But now, there isn't a family in our neighborhood I couldn't go talk to about not playing in the street or any situation.

He very much was a fresh faced young boy. He was 2 weeks past his 17th birthday, definitely still a child just as so many other victims that we have followed on this forum. The photograph in the Hollister shirt was taken in 2010, that was after his football days. The truth of the matter is that he really hadn't changed much through his 17 years. He was as cute at 3 as he was at 17. He was as cute at 7 as he was at 17. He was as cute at 12 as he was at 17. He was a handsome kid who had his future in front of him. Do you realize that Trayvon pulled his father out of his burning home? That's the type of person Trayvon was. He was a good kid who had some screw ups along the way, the same as both of my daughters are good kids who have had some screw ups along the way, the same as any other teenager out there. He was a good kid until George Zimmerman decided his time on this earth was up. He was a good kid until George Zimmerman decided to play the judge, jury, and the executioner. He was a good kid until George Zimmerman brutally murdered him.
