I just wanted to point out something that struck me as odd when I first heard it, but have tried to chalk it up to distress and not being great at verbal communication.

In Dad's first interview he made a comment "I'd give my life for my child's life back".

Another thing I noticed..

MIsty said that she was sure the back door had been locked prior to her going to bed.

Hasn't Misty said on camera that she didn't check the lock because it always stayed locked because no one went in or out of it?

Waaaaaay back at the beginning of the threads, bio mom and grandma were saying one time Haleigh had bruises and her hair smelled like pot which they noticed when they picked her up for a visit. I think they probably reported this which sent child protective service to check up on it. I imagine bio mom complained more than once....

Yes and then it changes
In the GVS interview
Misty says she gets up to go to the bathroom and notices the kitchen light on , goes to see why and then notices the back door open then goes to check on Haleigh, never makes it to bathroom.
GVS asks how close Haleigh was sleeping to her and Misty says 3-4 inches and Ronald who wasn't even there supposedly says NO 3-4 feet.
Now it has been discussed Misty isn't all that bright but I do believe the girl knows the difference in feet and inches.
I think that part was an honest mistake and she was thinking feet, but said inches due to being nervous. He did correct the mistake.

I really hate to complain about the LE of that town/county but I don't feel confident at this point that they are doing what's best for Haleigh. I think they saw the media circus that the Caylee case became and decided from the start they were not going to give info out as a way to protect themselves and their investigation. But IMO holding EVERYTHING back is not helpful to finding Haleigh either. I'll just apologize in advance as I know this will not be a popular opinion, and gosh I really hate that I feel this way right now, I really don't want to criticize..... just calling it as I see it at this moment. Hope I'm wrong. (Got zero hours of sleep last night so overlook the spelling errors please. Maybe my judgement re: LE will change with a little sleep, who knows?)
The sheriff took office in January, he hasnt been sheriff for 2 months yet. He is being VERY thorough, and careful. He is an ex narcotics officer, and a school resource officer, and won the election in a landslide...

This report about Misty sleeping WITH them instead of the same room with them is the reason some of us accuse her of changing her story, no? Some news stations are in such a hurry, they get the "scoop" wrong, IMO. Good Morning everyone, I have been reading the 10 threads written while I was dozing. Didnt want to comment until I read everything, I still think Misty is protecting a family member, and is afraid that she will lose her home with Ron if the truth is known. Maybe she doesnt know WHICH one she is protecting, but I think she was "out" when this happened.
As "communication challenged" as I think she is, I dont think it would be hard to say
"I dont know"
"I didnt do it"
"I didnt open the back door"
"I was asleep"
In her Greta interview, she said "the only way for someone to come in the back door was to pick the lock" w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r
ooh, did I say good morning?

What comes out in the media, I have taken with a grain of salt! What has come out of Misty's mouth during interviews is what has people thinking about her changing her stories..

Good Morning!

That is so true. I should have added that. I am still curious, I heard somewhere, and YES I HAVE READ EVERY SINGLE jumbled, free flowing, stream of consciousness thread....but I recall hearing that Misty called Ron as he was pulling in the drive, and I have heard she was waiting for him.....cant figure which is right.

I am not saying that it is not possible that LE is taking into consideration the CA case and the media circus that surrounded it, but I just don't honestly believe that they do not have Haleigh as top priority.

I truly believe that LE has a suspect(s) but just does not have all the pieces they need to make an arrest.

See post #357 above:
The 2009 Tax Role shows the owner of the property 116 Tyler Street Satsuma as Lindsy Kate Croslin and Guy Sapp.

Lindsy Croslin in Misty's SIL, married to her brother. So why did Guy Sapp finance the mobile home purchase? And is Guy Sapp related to the other Sapp, who is a Registered SO?
Guy Sapp might be in a rent to own situation with these people, times are tight, maybe he is trying to unload inventory

I wished that someone would ask Misty if she ever left the kids alone in the trailer... like while she ran to her brothers house, or while they were sleeping. And if so, was this common?

Did she ever say what she was doing between their bed time of 8pm and when she went to bed around 10:30? Cleaning?

I'm thinking she wasn't home... someone (either who she knew personally or not) was watching... and this person then had the perfect opportunity to come in (while propping open the door, and cutting on the light) to take Haleigh out of the house.

I know both of my kids would sleep right through being picked up.

No offense, but your friend is lying to you. No way is a defense attorney going to tell him to take the plea unless the prosecution can prove he knew how old she was.

If he knew the family as well as he claims, he knew she wasn't 21. 15 year olds go to high school, they can't voluntarily drop out. 21 year olds have drivers licenses and drive cars. 15 year olds just have a permit to drive with an adult. 21 year old girls go to college or have full-time jobs. They can't wait to move out of their parents' home. !5 year olds can't legally hold a job.

Unless your friend is well below the average IQ, he knew how old she was, he is a pervert, and paid Mom's bills to keep her quiet. Mom should be in jail as well.

If you have daughters and he pretends to be interested in dating you, please, don't fall for it!

Wishing you well,
Susan

I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, and no, he is not lying. I did a good bit of investigating on this situation, and he is telling the truth. Appointed attorneys with huge caseloads often tell their clients to just plead out...I was a legal assistant for many years, and I saw it time and again. Ethical? No. But reality. If you read past my initial post about this, you'll see several others who know of similar situations.

Right SS, but it is a crucial mistake to correct 3-4 inches would mean Haleigh was in the bed with Misty meaning an intruder would have had to lift Haleigh out of the very same bed that Misty was in.

3-4 feet would mean Haleigh was in a separate bed and an intruder at least did not have to "go over" Misty to get to Haleigh.

In Misty's original story she got up to go to the bathroom, saw the light in the kitchen, went to see why the light was on, saw the back door open, went to look for Haleigh, Haleigh gone. This means, intruder was in the very room with Haleigh, Misty and Jr.The intruder had already snatched haleigh and left according to Misty's story. The 3-4 inches or feet is very important in my mind. I would notice someone reaching in my bed to get a child out of it. JMO.

After following the Caylee case since the start, I never understood why people were angry when Casey was arrested so quickly. Now I know. She didn't give them anything to help find Caylee. Had they not arrested her, and was able to continue to question her, they just might have found new clues from her. Yet, she was arrested and once she obtained a lawyer that was over with. 6 months later, Caylee's body was found without an ounce of help from her mother.
Now, if LE feels that someone really came in and took this child, and the family has nothing to do with it, I would think they would have already publicly cleared them so the search can go on. This would be most helpful to Haleigh.
If they feel that someone in the family knows more than they are saying, they are going to hold it tight so that they continue to allow themselves to be questioned. If this is the case and LE knows that something happened at the hands of someone in that home, they are doing what is best for Haleigh.

I haven't seen this yet, or may have overlooked it but...Are RC and MC still staying in a tent or has the house been opened up to them?

ITA...the difference is inches, she was in bed with her. Feet different bed, and if Ron corrected her...was it him that decided they needed to change the story?

I guess still in the tent as we haven't heard anything about the home being released.

I for one know that this is the truth! I know of 2 situations where this has happened.

I actually tried to help one of them but once convicted and labeled it's hard to do. This young mans life is ruined forever because he was 18 and she was 15.
