Finally made the local paper and there is info I hadn't heard before.

Officers searched the area around the car, and a police helicopter searched the surrounding waterways but found no one. Brown’s wallet was found inside the unlocked car by the officer, who also noticed a “disturbance on the metal railing that was consistent with someone sitting on the edge,” according to the report.

Officers went to Brown’s home to speak with her mother, who said she moved out a week earlier and hadn’t seen her since.

Moved out a week ago? With or without her kids? If with- where are they????

The missing-persons report said police do not suspect foul play in her disappearance, and that her mother, Darlene Greene, told officers that Brown was depressed, possibly using drugs and frequently met men online.

But Greene told News4Jax on Monday that some of that isn't true.

"That's in the police report? That's my first time hearing it," Greene said. "That's very private information, if it was information."

Brown’s mother said Brown’s cellphone was found near the trunk. The report says Brown’s sister got a text message from her number around 6 a.m. saying she was coming over for a visit.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said police notice a "disturbance" on the railing, which is consistent with someone sitting on the edge.

After police found the Nissan Cube, they went to her mother's house. She told officials that her daughter has been depressed and could possibly be on drugs.

So the timeline is tightened up a bit. Something happened between 6 and 7am, right?

So either she wanted to make it look like it wasn't suicide when it was.... or someone wanted to make it look like it was suicide when it wasn't?

Why would you post that you've got a long drive and reply saying you're fine and thanks for asking if this was intended?

I wonder if there was some drug use on this night.... something that prompted a spontaneous irreversible action. [emoji20]

Poor woman, either way. I hope she's found and moreover, I hope she's found safe and well and can heal from whatever has happened.

I was onto foul play and now I don't know:(

Why would Ashley take the time to turn the hazard lights on?
The car left running, as if she came across something.

Hazard lights are new to me. I also mean it would take me a sec to remember what to push or pull to activate.

Me too Lisa, I'm hopeless with some of the controls in my car and it would take a moment to figure what is what.

The new police report says Brown’s unlocked car was running with the hazard lights on.
Interesting. I thought she had plans with a coworker/friend. I guess it could have been both. The safety in number things.
Still feeling hinky from what I have read and seen.
but JSO doesn't believe foul play is involved and they may know more than they are sharing at this time.
sigh.
ETA I wonder where the children are?

Really feeling for Ashley's mother Darlene right now and Ashely's children and all of her loved ones and friends with such uncertainty as to what has happened to her.

If police believe there is no foul play involved, has enough time and effort gone into searching the water and where it leads?

The report also said Brown’s mother, Darlene Green, told officers her daughter was depressed and possibly on drugs.
“Is that going to stop anybody from looking for her? Finding her? Or working on her case any harder? I don’t want that to affect it. I want them to look for her just like they would anybody else,” Green said.
Police crews searched the water below Mathews Bridge but have found no trace of Brown.
Brown is a mother of two, a nursing student, and works at a nursing home.
“Please, please come home. I beg you to come home. I want you home,” said Green. “I have so many scenarios running through my mind. And the hardest thing ever for me to do yesterday was to tell my grandson that his mother was missing.”

I feel so sad for her mom. Sounds like her mom was honest with LE, and they've now made private information public. She did the right thing by being honest with them, and I don't think they should have made it public. They haven't done that in other missing persons cases that I've seen.

Excuse me if I sound naive, I don't have facebook, but have police even released what Ashley was last seen wearing?
I can't find anything regarding this in MSM, but maybe I've missed it.

I haven't seen it in SM either. I don't think they know. Maybe someone who knows her extremely well could determine what clothing is missing. MOO
