I didn't realize they had filed protective orders against their own kids. wtf
The Ferriters had her parents adopt the youngest, and didn't bother with the older 3. Revenge IMO.

I like the emphasis at the end of this video on how the other children are suffering severe abuse because of how the teen boy was treated. Not too many people are talking about how the other children were abused because they witnessed abuse and could definitely imagine they could be treated likewise.

I did not see it posted, but his bond motion was denied. You can see the entry on his case docket with the Palm Beach Clerk of Court. The Judge's written order has not been posted yet. Court Records | Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County

Page 2:
"...the State represented that the minimum guideline score reflected by the Criminal Punishment Code Scoresheet for Defendant is seventy-five (75) months and that the maximum sentence to which Defendant may be sentenced is forty (40) years. The State asserts that the severity of this penalty makes Defendant a flight risk."

High score. His minimum score is 6.25 years - 4.25 more than what he was offered.

I'm glad he rejected that plea deal.

IMO the judge has gone out of the way to find case support for his reasoning. This judge really covers his bases. I anticipate he'll give Ferriter a long sentence: he momentarily displayed his feelings during those videos. Pundits are saying double digits.

No one should have ever offered this cretin 2 years!!! Time after time, courts show our kids that abusing them is not that bad. I hope he is in there for a long time, plus more.

For the sweet victim.... I cannot stop thinking about him. He is going to need so much therapy to unlearn that what he did was not "bad". I did not hear him disrespectful, rude, aggressive, hurtful, mean... this is a good child!!! He was abused and it is amazing that he wasn't acting out even more. He is super smart and kind (he was so sweet and gentle with his little brother, even in the face of being horribly neglected and extreme gaslighting going on). I hope he reads this and realizes just how strong and amazing and smart and kind and powerful he really is! My heart hurts for what he has endured. His cries made me cry. He should have had someone to nurture and comfort him, rather than lock him in a room and tell him he's bad for being human. I think the man who was getting emotional behind the "he monster" is raising him now. I sure hope so. That is what a caring person feels when a child is in pain. The abuser didn't flinch. The man behind him had tears in his eyes and was struggling to watch. Speaks volumes.

Little victim... I am sorry for what you endured. You have a whole army of people who watched to support and stand with you, even though you don't know us. I can't wait to see all the amazing things you are going to do and experience in your life from here on. You are loved <3

All of the kids were victims. I felt very sorry for the older sister who had to witness all of it and had the wherewithal to process what was going on. Very perceptive and articulate young woman. She seemed broken she couldn't do anything about it and she had to conclude at a young age that her parents were evil. This is very difficult for a child to process.

I agree so much!! I just felt extra sorry for him, as they tried to justify their actions by speaking horribly of him, for all the world to see. I hope all the siblings get tons of love, support and lead full lives. She is a hero for being willing to speak in court for her brother.

The problem for redeeming Tracy is, TF was often traveling for work. This means, to me, that she was not always in the shadow as far as the way RF was getting treated. She had to be the enforcer and chief bully at those times. She could have eased up, but did not. This tells me she's not under TF's thumb.

The videos show Tracy bullying RF. No doubt. No one forced her to be evil.
I have to disagree. I believe TF was under her husband's thumb. Do you think that she would not be grilled when he came back from his travels or he himself could check the camera in the garage to see how she handles it when he is gone? Or maybe there are cameras inside the house that he can monitor. I'd be willing to bet that his wrath has been felt by all in the family at one time or another

I have wondered if his refusal to take the plea was the source of the tension between him and his prior attorney that grew to a point where she requested permission to withdraw. Once it was discovered that the footage was being subpoenaed and once the footage was produced in discovery showing what it showed, I can certainly see defense counsel urging the client to take the deal given the potential sentence he faced. His refusal to take it wouldn't grounds imo for withdrawal but it could have been the start of a very contentious relationship. Do we know any details about the withdrawal other than it got to a point where they couldn't co-exist?

ETA I realize he didn't decline the plea until recently but I would guess the offer was made prior to the withdrawal and then after she was released from representing him there was a delay to allow new counsel to get up to speed. Just a guess. I haven't seen too many reported details on the source of their tension which doesn't surprise me considering privilege. jmo/moo
Supposedly, she is suing the F's. Good luck with that. She came out for them with guns blazing possibly before she knew everything. The female is a sole practitioner from Miami, practice general criminal defense, and the male is also from Miami, "practice focuses on white collar crime, complex fraud matters, and national security cases." Some big guns. I'm sure they are good but they did not seem organized, but I guess they did not have much to work with

Well if he was offered a deal only if he threw her under the bus I guess I understand why he didn’t take it. It also makes sense why they would both come to court in such a defiant posture. From their twisted perspective. She’s equally guilty imo. She’s not an accomplice. They’re co-principals. She obviously supported it and was fully on board. So to me if he’s guilty of aggravated child abuse then so is she. Because she also had the same intention. Just my two cents.
Supposedly their cases were separated/severed because Tracy talked to police before he got home from abroad and he didn't like that. Saw a video (from Courttv I think) of Tim one week after he was taken away and he was pale, bugged eyed and whole body was trembling. He ain't gonna make it in prison. Defense atty was trying to get bond for him. It was said that - they sold the Jupiter house; Tracey's parents ADOPTED the youngest child; the original 50k bond was posted by friend; the minimum sentence was 76months - judge did not commit to any of it. I bet they divorce.
So I'm wondering among other things why youngest was adopted, not just in the care of but ADOPTED? where are the middle 2 children? and like everyone else how is RF doing in another environment?

After re-watching testimony from one of the victim's siblings, the jury's decision was unanimous. [...]

[...] Tracy Ferriter is facing the same charges as her now-convicted husband. Though a trial date has not been set, Kuvin said if she were his client, they would explore a plea agreement.

Timothy Ferriter turned down the state's offer of a two-year plea.

Kuvin said Tracy Ferriter's defense may come down to blaming her husband.

“What I would try to focus on is that all the decisions that were made regarding the child’s care were made by the child’s father and that she had no say in the matter and she had no control in any of the decisions that were made by the father,” he said.
That could be true!! He wasn't easy to live with I bet

I think this child became a nuisance.
Did anyone have moments where you thought about times your own kids were acting their worst and YOU were at your wits end? I did.

Especially when the lawyer mentioned that they were waiting for a counseling appointment. We can’t always get in to see specialists for our kid and are often left feeling like we’re on our own and no one understands. Sometimes you face a wall and you’re like, I have no script for this.

In those moments, we try to ask older family for advice and then creatively problem solve. I feel like they didn’t talk to people and they didn’t try too many things.

Just a one way path for the Ferriter parents to be obeyed.
JMO, I think this child became a nuisance to them.

The father worked for a large medical device company which I’m sure the insurance covered mental health services. Yes, there might be a waiting list but not years.
Thank you, I've been wondering where he worked. I could not find any info on that. He was obviously embarassed by this child. Wonder what the company and his co workers think of him now. Could be why he did not take a plea deal, he could not admit to doing this. He would be fired for sure.

I guess the parents took revenge on the older kids for testifying against them: they left the kids in the hands of CPS. Despicable.

This is a family that LOVES the idea of being rescuers, especially via adoption. So, they get the grandparents to rescue their youngest with an adoption. The court hasn't prohibited the parents from seeing this child, either. That's gotta change.

I think her face looks like someone whose has been beaten, not being critical about her looks, JMO.
I don't get that at all. She seems super tense, though, everything about her. IMO that's her personality, even her physique, and it's enhanced by the nose work she's had done. Her brother seems like that, too: very tense.
