Curious if there has been pressure put on him to ask for the lenient sentencing?

When you have been abused and were never shown love by a parent or parents, you spend a lot of your time always hoping that one day you may get that love. It never happens... Is that what is going on?

The Catholic church shouldn't allow this, not just as a matter of policy and Catholic belief, but because of the abuse history in the Church. I don't think Pope Francis would be big on this concept....

I doubt it. Every time the camera pans to him he looks like he could give a flying fart. It may be an up and down foot/knee bc he's worried about how much more damaging info will come out.
