I have to applaud this defense atty for daring to make this argument saying it was self-defense. Wow! Judge is pushing back hard and she’s persisting.

There is way too much "testimony" coming in here at a sentencing hearing. Seems to me like Judge Coates is giving them great latitude to knock out any appellate arguments.

good. the judge doesn't feel anything the child did warrants the actions of the father. at least I think that's what he just said. the defense lawyer won't shut up long enough for the judge to talk.

ETA: I did see a smile/sigh of relief though when he heard his victim plead for 6 MONTHS. No remorse for what he did to the child but glee that the power he exerted for years is still sticking. Psychological warfare. Brainwashing.

The defense was objecting to the statements by the sisters that prosecutor was reading saying “victim impact statements are only for the victim and next of kin” lol

Defense is framing it as though Tim is the victim. And so, they have his? Tracy's? mother doing a victim impact statement. Outrageous, and shouldn't be allowed.
