The landlord is required to rent a dwelling that is fit to be lived in. It must have working plumbing, hot water and heating, be structurally sound and have reasonable security, including working and locking doors and windows, and it must be free of pests. The landlord must also comply with local health, building, and safety codes. If the landlord has to make repairs to make the dwelling fit to live in, the landlord must pay.

note-Air conditioning is NOT a requirement
and whether a tenant has electric or gas service to make said appliances work is up to the tenant, depending on their lease verbiage of course

note, I am and have been a landlord

"But he's still going to pay his respects, see his baby and still going to the funeral," Wilkerson said.

Jarreau has been fighting a losing battle for custody of the girl since 2007. Now, Jarreau's attorney said he's speaking for his client because his client is too upset.

"Mr. Jarreau is extremely emotional, and he is upset," Wilkerson said. "We want to focus on burying his daughter, focus on having no conflict and no drama."

Wilkerson said there may be some drama when it comes to honoring the memory of Cherish.

Jarreau has apparently been told through victims' advocates and others that Rayne Perrywinkle will have him removed if Jarreau attends the viewing or the funeral.

"So because of that, we've asked for private viewing and we are going to have private viewing at an undisclosed time, because if he shows up there, she is going to cause a scene," Wilkerson said. "This is what we've heard through credible sources."

Wilkerson said instead of a conflict, Jarreau will try to honor his daughter's memory and then take up his complaints about her care later.

"Now, this is a time for grief, but doesn't mean we just ignore culpability," Wilkerson said.

NJ 's is as pathetic believe me!

Oh yes they are! Did you read in the Ledger last week that NJ CPS actually had the nerve to ask for changes in legislation where they are watched LESS and questioned LESS???

What part of our lovely state are you sleuthing from?

as far as I am concerned, considering his client's daughter has been murdered and is no longer the subject of a custody issue,I might assume he may not be acting as Attorney now.... the father's 'attorney' can use social media, take out full page ads, go on Good Morning America, hang upside down from Mathews Bridge, or utilize whatever means necessary to bring about awareness to the needs of children, how Judges need to listen to those they charge in determining fitness, etc etc,

AND lend voice to hone in on the fact that these sick twisted perverts walk among us and a better (Permanent) solution needs to be sought in order to protect the least of us, our children. Let him talk- if it saves one child, then good for him.

An attorney making accusations on fb in public .. wouldnt be acceptable in the uk.

So was asking if hes free to do it on fb ?

TIA

The custody case had been decided. He is not ethically bound by any kind of confidentiality, over what is currently going on. What is happening NOW, has nothing to do with their custody case then. He can say what he wants to about the current situation on FB. Now, that doesn't mean people can't think it's questionable, acceptable, inappropriate, unprofessional, etc. It's his call to make, though.

Most CPS or whatever initials they go by is how they help kids ,leaving them in the wrong hands. I found out when it happened in our family. They keep kids with moms they should not.The ones who get out before dead usually are so battered and need hospitalization. I use to ask was there no one who at least tried CPS.Why dad do nothing ,why not a grandparent how can they just sit back.,watch what you wish for because sometimes the way you finally get that answer sucks big time. I found out but no matter what they wanna keep giving the mom chance after chance and so.

This post will prob post at the most inopportune time (you guys are good and FAST!)...but...mmm, I feel your pain in your son, your family's battle concerning your grandson. I feel fortunate as the mother of a son, with three small babies to have been blessed with domicilliary status with his children. The 'birther', a child, (I dutifully accepted as my own)...made it easy. Abandonment, essentially.

So this case interests me deeply. Poor lil Cherish's earthly life is over...ride horses with the angels, honey! Her mom...I suppress my words. Truly, cuz I KNOW her kind. The perp...let me STOP now.

But Dad...without knowing his true story (as I've stated before)...I kinda wanna pull for him. The beautiful, happy pics of vacations together speak volumes. Idk...it'll all surface, then come to pass.

I did something stupid !!
I was thinking of cherishs father.. thinking about his custody with the other girls forgetting there not his and he no longer has anything to lose.. my apologies

Fire away mr attorney..

Wow is all that I can say in this case! It turns my stomach upside down and brings tears each time I come back to check updates!

Where in the he77 is DFS??? This county must be pathetic! But then I read in the Jacksonville News that the sheriff's dept. is investigating why an abduction alert was not put out earlier than it was. So perhaps the whole county is down sodden! Does anyone know?

The mother is so at fault in this horrible murder! What she did is not and never will be called mothering! Where is the justice for Cherish on that fact? It will suit me fine if they arrest her at the cemetery! Not in front of the little sisters, they have been through enough trauma.

Amen! And I hope that some laws are created or at least abided by to keep these RSO's off the streets.

It is partly my fault- I stated that he, the attorney, made a statement- I was wrong. He is posting from his personal FB page. he has not mentioned any particulars about the custody case on FB. And- he did not contact that page owner- he was invited to join the page

Warning: I am not a US attorney.

AFAIK

constitutionally speaking, an attorney (or anyone in our country) is free to say whatever they want (barring threatening terroristic acts) in our country and we can't be thrown in jail for it. (Might lose your job, though, employers choice.)

Defamation/libel only applies if it can be shown what the person is saying is false.

Now there are rules he must observe to maintain his license to practice law. Like attorney/client privilege. He wouldn't be breaking a law, he'd be breaking an ethical code. :twocents:

1. he is posting from his personal page 2. I guarantee he has the fact to back it up 3. he has not broken his attorney/client priviledge

has there been any msm news related to the stroller or how things went today at the viewing?

IMHO I can't be too quick to judge the Sheriff's dept.....I personally think they had a hard time sorting out the facts and were possibly as confused as to the situation at the get go....as many of the public were and still are. KWIM?

My sister had both of her children taken away from her. (Drug use, neglect.) She stole their Christmas gifts, piggy banks, state quarter collection, savings bonds, games...ANYTHING she could sell for drugs. She stole things from my parents (they raise the children. She did all this at their house!) from me, everyone. She even took the food card my parents get, because they have adopted them through DHS :(

I'm not purposefully inferring anyone was using drugs here (we simply don't know that,) I'm just pointing out a situation where people tend to not have a conscience about it.

Kinda wish he didnt have the facts..makes me feel very sickly that someone thought it best she stay with her mother :banghead:
