GC is one tall cool glass of water - smart, organized, courteous to the witnesses and confident enough to display her great head of hair! imo.

I swear I've seen her in another trial, but I can't figure out which one it was. I do know the judge was on the Denise Williams trial and I like him too.

if the state believes that WA had some advance knowledge of the crime, perhaps they will pursue the death penalty against the alleged masterminds for leverage to get them to flip against her just as they are doing to try to get SG to flip.

Or just prosecute her as one of the masterminds - at this point, seems like there is enough against her. Lacasse testified well. I don't understand the whole questioning of whether it was her in the van. She admitted to driving by and seeing the tape so why is it significant if that was her van or she was in another van at a very similar time?

I think the purpose was to show she was close enough to see the police/ambulance activity was at Dan's house and yet she did not get out of her car to investigate/see what was happening, especially because Dan had the kids a lot. JMO.

this doesn't look good for WA -
1. LR says he and SG saw her/supplied info. (debunked?)
2. drove past crime scene per police officer.
3. celebration dinner per Lacasse.
4. $15K/$50K hitman per Lacasse.
5. sick the night before or a few nights before the murder per Lacasse.

7. called Dan to verify he was in town that morning
8. knew he was leaving town to see his girlfriend
9. someone needs to ask when relationship between Dan and girlfriend became serious and when he introduced her to the boys and how WA reacted. to establish timing proximity and WA additional sense of urgency to get the deed done.
10. her post-crime behavior: severed all ties with her brother Rob while staying super tight to Charlie and parents; changing names of sons; hanging up on law enforcement, etc

Since Wendi had tried to implicated Lacasse when she was first interrogated, seems like the timing of breaking up with him two weeks before the murder after a yearlong serious relationship was perhaps to create suspicion around him, that he was upset with the breakup and trying to win her back by "saving" her from her custody battle....

Lacasse says he viewed Adelson's interview where she said that he could've been a suspect. He was scheduled to leave Tallahassee at 11 am the same morning Markel died. He was cleared by detectives.

Lacasse says he was exclusive with Wendi at one point and was involved in her and Markel's kids lives. He says when they double dated with Charlie and Katherine Magbanua they later went to Charlie's home and saw his Ferrari. He had heard about it prior from Wendi.

looking at I’ve if the case affidavits -I think the Garcia probable cause ones—- I noticed that Rivera’s cell phone was pinging at DM home vicinity for something like 3 hours on the afternoon of I think June 5, 2014.

Also pinged the gym vicinity cell towers on June 5.

I think that falling into the ravine incident was actually described as happening “on a weekday prior to July 18” the implication being it was prob Thursday july 17. Not June. Sorry can’t link to the doc

She only admitted to driving by on the Main Street. She did not admit to driving onto the road they lived on, and making a three-point turn at the crime scene iirc.

For anyone they charge they need to show an act in furtherance of the crime. Advance knowledge isn't enough.

Oh, interesting. I didn't realize this. This could be a problem with ever getting WA prosecuted. I can't think of any direct evidence of her furthering this crime.

On another note, I wonder why Lacasse's testimony about Wendi wasn't hearsay?

jury questions are my favorite part.

For Jeff, the questions by the jury centered on

1)the July 14th email, and asking whether it was from her FSU website or a private email. He thinks it was from her Gmail to his Gmail and not from the FSU site.
2) questions about her relocating to Children full time Etc. The answer was that she didn't talk directly to that because it was not a possibility with current Court mandate. But she did talk frequently about the frustration of such

This location is consistent with being serviced by the above cell site, and is very near DM residence and is the intersection immediately west of where Trescott Dr. intersects Betton Road.

4:09 pm LR phone ping along interstate 10 in Madison County, east of Tallahassee. Multiple pings shown in document and arrives Friday am 6/6 in Miami area

5:38 pm Car had surreptitious GPS that showed was near Lake city travelling at 75 mph.
