Do we all buy a bottle of Bulliet Booze for the day they make the arrest of the unindicted co-conspirators or do we wait and see if it's needed? I was going to get a bottle last weekend but decided to wait and ponder instead since I don't drink any alcohol. I will go ahead and buy a bottle with the promise to take a shot the day I hear the news. Anyone else wanna follow suit? LOL I bet the company who makes that elixir was happy to get some free advertising like the hoodie Casey Anthony was wearing on her day of arrest lol
 
Those who provide victim impact statements are not allowed (per Florida Statute) to mention any opinion about sentence:
"Characterizations and opinions about the crime, the defendant, and the appropriate sentence shall not be permitted as a part of victim impact evidence."

921.141 Sentence of death or life imprisonment for capital felonies; further proceedings to determine sentence.—
(8) VICTIM IMPACT EVIDENCE.—Once the prosecution has provided evidence of the existence of one or more aggravating factors as described in subsection (6), the prosecution may introduce, and subsequently argue, victim impact evidence to the jury. Such evidence shall be designed to demonstrate the victim’s uniqueness as an individual human being and the resultant loss to the community’s members by the victim’s death. Characterizations and opinions about the crime, the defendant, and the appropriate sentence shall not be permitted as a part of victim impact evidence.

Oh wow. I heard a member of the prosecution team asking about time for these. I thought there would be more. I think the mental health specialist lulled me into a coma.

Bulliet seems too "blasphemous" to me.....too much aligned with Wendi's celebration of murder. I couldn't ever buy or drink that knowing it was used to celebrate Dan's murder.

I propose:

For Wendi's arrest: Fallen Angel Vodka
For Charlie's arrest: Bitter Truth Liqueur
For Donna's arrest: Karma Tequila

For watching all their perp walks: World's End Liqueur
After all 3 are convicted: Victory Vodka

Bitter Truth great idea, I have no idea about any types of booze they all taste so bad to me plus I am now a diabetic so I don't know what my pancreas will say about that lol One time I read an article that said drinking alcohol lowers your blood sugar so I asked my doctor why that was not a treatment for diabetes, he cracked up and said " you would have to be soused all day" LOL Okay, just asking LOL

Tuesday, October 15th:
*Sentencing Phase (Day 2) (@ 1pm ET) - FL – Daniel Eric Markel (41) (July 18, 2014, Tallahassee) - *Sigfredo Garcia (34) arrested & charged (5/25/16) with 1st degree murder, conspiracy & solicitation of murder. Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DP case.
Murder for Hire hit man. They split a $100K payoff for murder.
Trial started on 9/23/19. Jury: 10 women & 2 men & 1 alternate (woman); was 2 alternates one (man) got sick & excused on 10/3/19. Jury Deliberations on 10/10: 4.5 hours. 10/11: 6.5 hours. Total 11 hours for guilty verdict of 1st degree murder. Guilty of conspiracy. Not guilty of solicitation for Garcia.

10/14/19 Penalty Phase Day 1: Judge hoping to finish testimony today, jury likely to deliberate on life or death tomorrow. Opening statements by both sides done. State witness: Ruth Markel (Dan's mother). Defense witnesses: Dr. Julie Harper, mental health expert. Garcia will not testify. State rebuttal witness: Dr. Greg Prichard, mental health expert. Both sides have rested their cases in the penalty phase, jury back in the morning to start deliberating life or death for Sigfredo Garcia. Sentencing phase continues on 10/15.
*Katherine Magbanua (32) (Garcia's wife) – Co-Conspirator. Mistrial declared. Case Management hearing on 10/22.
Accomplice:
*Luis Rivera (33) charged with 1st degree murder. Took a plea deal (Oct. 2016) & plead guilty to 2nd degree murder. Will testify against Garcia & Magbanua. Will receive 19-year sentence to run concurrently with his 12 year Federal time, which he is already serving.
POIs: Wendi Adelson (ex-wife of Markel), her bro Charlie, mom Donna Sue Adelson (68) & father Harvey Adelson. Investigators have not charged anyone in the Adelson family in connection with Markel’s death, but say Adelson’s mother and brother – Donna and Charlie Adelson – paid $100K to have Markel killed following the couple’s contentious divorce so their two young sons could move to South Florida.
 
did anyone read something about WA paying for the hit and the people just took the money and split? Where did I read that?

No, Donna. You have A LOT to worry about.
 
I have to say I’ve never seen such a swift penalty phase. Usually defense calls a bunch of witnesses to humanize the defendant, to get the jury spending more time seeing/hearing about the defendant so that it makes it harder for them to vote DP. Where are SG’s mother and sister? To talk about what a great father he is and how he struggled to put his life on course etc etc. I’m not saying those things are true but usually that’s what you hear. I’d expect them to make the case that he has 2 children who still need a relationship with their father etc.

Just one psych witness!? Who is refuted by the state’s psych witness.
