James Robert "Bob" Ward's multi-million dollar home in Isleworth is scheduled for auction at the Orange County Courthouse in March.
This is the same home where Ward's wife, Diane Ward, 55, was fatally shot in the master bedroom on Sept. 21. Investigators say Bob Ward, 61, pulled the trigger. He's charged with second-degree murder.
Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland will sign off on a final foreclosure order Thursday, he said during a short hearing this morning. The attorneys must re-do the paperwork to remove Diane Ward's name off the documents before it's officially approved. Her name was not on the deed.
Strickland also ordered mediation between now and March 23 to come up with a resolution. If not, the home will be scheduled for auction.

A report released from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said DNA found on the trigger and grips of the gun used to kill Diane Ward belongs to her husband.
The FDLE said Ward's DNA was one of two profiles found on the trigger and the barrel of the gun. It was unable to determine whether the other DNA came from Diane Ward. It said no DNA was found in the barrel of the revolver.
The FDLE also said blood found on Bob Ward's pants and right shoe came from his wife.

The new documents also show that the DNA found on the trigger and the grip of the revolver investigators believe was used in the deadly September shooting, the gun Ward had put in his nightstand after the shooting, was predominantly his. Investigators found a mix of DNA on the gun and the FDLE lab has concluded it cannot determine whether the minor contributor to that mix was Diane Ward.
“This is a blow to the defense. This evidence is consistent with his first statement to the police. That is, ‘I shot my wife.’ It is completely inconsistent with his later statement that his wife was attempting suicide and he tried to intervene,” WFTV legal Analyst Bill Sheaffer said.
Investigators swabbed Ward's wife's hands for gun powder. The results of those tests have not yet been made public.
Prosecutors have just handed over to the defense four DVDs, three interviews of James Ward and other documents. Meanwhile, the defense is trying to prevent all of Ward's personal information from his computers and his cell phone from going public in the case.
The judge will decide what will be released on a case by case basis.

FDLE: DNA Mixture Found On Gun That Killed Diane Ward
Monday, December 21, 2009 3:57:13 PM
<snipped>
Crime lab technicians say they can't determine if DNA found on the gun that killed Diane Ward is actually hers.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement reports a mixture of DNA from two people on the trigger.
Technicians said a partial DNA profile shows the majority of the sample belongs to a male, and they couldn't determine who supplied the rest.
But the lab report doesn't contain anything unusual as Ward reportedly admitted to being in the room where his wife died, and putting the gun in a nightstand drawer.
