If those are shingles on the roof, they get destroyed by going on them.

I am the breadwinner in my family while my son is taken care of all day by daddy. Its also the same case with many of my other female friends, so it doesn't seem that odd. I think it is the case more and more. I know the "what do you do?" Question can be awkward for him from time to time. But we are happy with arrangement be auae it makes the most sense for our family. But I will admit that being a full-time working mom doesn't leave a heck of a lot of time and energy for a big personal life outside of work and family.

I;m going to repeat what I said before even tho many disagreed with me( so be it) But the fact that the family said the dad was " unbearably stressed"

I really don't won't to compare his grieving to mine, but in 2004 & very early early early 2005 I lost 3 very close relatives withing 6 months , Mom COCP, July 04...... Aunt, Cancer Jan 2005,..... Uncle, April 2005, heart attack. Also My Grandaughters Grandmother was murdered in 2011. We are a normal grieving family, nobody that I observed suffered unbearable stress( especially in front of anyone) In 1989 My BFF husband committed suicide in their bedroom, I spent the weekend with her, she never ever expressed unbearable stress. I stand by my prior post, it's HINKY!!!!!:moo:

Dangerous? I think it is awesome.

Maybe it would be better to sit your kids in front of a tv or Xbox with a bottle of coke and bag of Doritos. THAT to me is odd.

I can see how people might think it's awesome, especially kids, but I doubt would be recommended as safe to do for children and, even if well-intended, might even be considered endangerment.

Here is a funny article from my favorite publication, The Onion, about a kid who tries to explain to his parents that it makes perfect sense for him to play on the roof.

What do we know about her personally, or her husband for that matter? Seems so much of our focus has been on her career. Did they have friends out side of work that they associated with? Hobbies? What did they DO outside of work?

'I have an incredible husband who has been an amazing father to our girls. Mark, you are my rock. My girls, Josephine and Carmela, you are wise beyond your years and innately accept God’s plan. Thank you for understanding why I often don’t make it home to tuck you in.'

-No it's not

Maybe somewhere in the middle of playing on the roof, and sitting in front of a tv eating Doritos. Something like sports activities.

Who prepared them? Or did she just write/google them?

hmmm...if she is not there by the time the girls go to bed, then when was she preparing them a meal?

I agree. I am pretty sure I would yell non-MotherTeresa words at my husband if I heard my children were jumping on the roof. I wonder if "office manager" might have been more of courtesy role and maybe the husband spent a lot of time at home. And one reason someone might think it is okay or fun for children to jump on the roof would be that one is on a prescription and not thinking clearly.

Thank you kammiemc [emoji1] Exactly what I was thinking (what is he on?) but didn't say it.

“She’ll laugh with you, she’ll cook with you, she’ll tell you a story, she’ll tuck you in.”
He adored Teresa. He worshiped the ground she walked on. He did anything and everything so that Teresa could tirelessly work,” said Tottenhan-Lisa.
The doctor was to meet her personal trainer, Jorgen Albrechton, last Monday but did not show up - so he called her and left a voicemail.

Well the nbc link sparked my interest and my mind wanders...I should probably stop there.

Sorry to hear about your hardships. But I think what is being debated here is really a matter of semantics. You may not define what you felt as stress, but others absolutely would. Especially a family that is big into holistic wellness. Any kind of pain whether emotional or physical, good or bad can be defined as stress. So I certainly don't find it hinky that a man who lost his wife in the most gruesome way would articulate his pain as "unbearable stress". JMO

She was always giving me meal suggestions...trying to get me to make green smoothies...telling me what to add in them to make them more nutrient dense. She would be very specific about Brands and knew alternative ingredients that were less expensive. Of course, my eyes would glaze over because I hate to cook...I tried to listen :) I still think she was getting the Chef's services at a discount because she has their link on her resources page...that would be something she might do, I think (no matter what that article says about the cost...that seemed like a promo piece). She got her professional pics done Pro Bono (think she was thanking the photographer on her FB page)...just little things I notice where she was trying to economize...maybe that was just always her way from her upbringing....don't know. JMO

* meant to say... so I THINK she can cook....but who knows...Think I'll go make a green smoothie in her honor...

I guess my whole point to this was we just don't know the details. Maybe dad had a set specific rules and boundaries as to what is allowed and not allowed when they are playing on the roof. Maybe it didn't even happen, maybe the girls were on the roof on their own and he went up to get them off.
I just don't get this constant barrage of ridicule towards this family. I am seeing it not just here but in comments to MSM articles, often by the same people.

Not sure if this has been posted. It is quite interesting.

5 Holistic Health Doctors Found Dead In 4 Weeks, 5 More Go Missing – After Run-Ins with Feds

As far as I know Dr. Riley wasn't into holistic medicine. She was a physician who worked for the hospital in Albany, Georgia at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. She lived not far from us in the same county.

Then on July 1st, Lisa Riley DO, 34, residing in Lee County, Georgia, was found murdered in her home, with a gunshot wound to the head. Her husband was originally suspected, as he made the call to 911 to report her death, but many feel as though he’s being framed. Investigators have called her death mysterious.

This information is incorrect as far as Dr. Riley. They have not determined her MOD at this time and its still being investigated by the GBI. I haven't heard anyone here say they believe her husband is being framed. Far from it, most that I have spoken with believe he is involved. It seems the women in his life at the time wound up being shot.

A few years back when he lived in Miami his ex accused him of trying to murder her. He was a professional boxer at the time and somewhat of a celebrity. He was found NG in that case, iirc.

However; he must have other offenses since when the death of his wife happened he was picked up for a probation violation and remains in jail until the 21st of this month. One of our grandsons is with the Sheriff's department and said he is being held in a cell by himself.

IMO

Well, weekend cooking counts. (I hope! That's when I get a chance to!)

I think it was mentioned a few posts above the various modes that would be termed cash vs insurance-type of practice. But all of those types can be subjected to fraud under the nefarious acts of a bad employee.

I would not assume the Doctor made her own deposits. Heck, the office manager was her husband---likely he would do that, IMO.
Yes I meant her business/ business practice would have a process or procedure on how to manage cash, checks, credit etc for her.
