I've been working with the family thru CFSI/NOMAD. I'm praying for answers. But I'm heartbroken at the same time.

if that's Jabez, what the heck happened? wow. No matter, very sad for someone's family...

Less than a mile from where Jabez was last seen: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/150...4b534197e88033!2m2!1d-82.5325344!2d27.3541251

Praying for quick answers for his family

Just saw this on the local news:

I know where Gillespie is, it's west of 301.

Weird thing is, I drove up 301 yesterday to go to an antique shop in Palmetto (Emiline's Antiques).

Newtown is not the best part of Sarasota, to be sure, and while I have hoped Jabez was on the lam, alive and safe somewhere, am not so sure anymore.

I just hope his family can have closure soon.

Skeletal remains found in Sarasota creek not those of missing teen, cops say

Human remains found in a Sarasota creek Monday are not those of a missing Sarasota teenager.

Sarasota police confirmed Tuesday through work with the District 12 Medical Examiner's Office by using dental records that the remains do not belong to Jabez Spann.

Spent a good portion of this evening very emotional about this news. Held it together while I was at work when the need broke. Hope is once again sparked that a mother may again hold her son.... Yet that same mother doesn't have an answer she yearns for. And another family is facing more pain. Where are you, Jabez?

Update:

ABC7 EXCLUSIVE: Jabez Spann spotted on MLK Way before disappearance

http://www.mysuncoast.com/news/loca...cle_76ab888e-5ad7-11e8-b585-b36fad2ad561.html

Quoting:
She told ABC7 exclusively, a witness saw Jabez with two other boys on September 4, 2017 around 1 a.m. just hours before he was reported missing. Spann says she knows one of the kids, and is hoping the other unidentified boy can provide information.

"Was there anybody they met up with? Was there anybody they might have seen him get in the car with?" questioned Spann.

"I just know somebody knows what happened to my nephew and the city is too small for something like that," said Latohya Jakes, Jabez's aunt.

Both Spann and Jakes believe this detail is important. His last known sighting on M.L.K. Way places him in the middle of Newtown's early morning Labor Day festivities.

"People could've been taking photos, that could've been taking videos, they could've been going live. I want people to go back and look at those," said Spann.
His family thinks Jabez could be in the background of those pictures or footage may reveal the person who is responsible for his disappearance.
Sarasota detectives say any small piece of information can help with the investigation.

Friends, relatives of missing Sarasota teen host safeguard training for families

Thinking of the what if's, families gathered at Fredd Atkins Park on September 8 to learn how to protect their children from unexpected situations.

I can't believe he's been missing for a year. I really thought he would be found by now.

It's great that his family is using Jabez's disappearance to try to help others. I hope it helps them cope a little better. Maybe Jabez's story will prevent someone else from going missing.

Human remains found in Manatee County. The MCSO says the remains have been there at least months.
"A Palmetto resident walking through a field discovered what he believed to human remains on Halloween. Manatee Sheriff’s detectives later confirmed the remains were human. The investigation is ongoing."
The story behind the human remains found on Halloween remains a mystery

Thinking of Jabez's family...
