I pop in to see developments. Discouraging that they haven't been found yet. The good news is the men are capable and qualified with survival skills and strength. But also, given their background, they also know that an extensive search for them is underway - that knowledge will keep up their hopes and spirits.

Please let them be found today.

The Chatham County Police Department’s Marine Patrol joined the search this morning for two boaters missing from Florida since Friday, according to a press release from the Chatham PD.

One Marine Patrol unit will be searching an area off the coast south of the May River and north of the Ogeechee River. The unit will search no further than 75-miles out to sea, and will travel as far as conditions permit.

The U.S. Coast Guard will give an update Thursday about the search for two missing firefighters, one of whom has ties to Palm Beach County, who vanished at sea last week.

Officials are scheduled to hold a news conference at 12 p.m. about the efforts to find Brian McCluney and Justin Walker.

'Significant announcement' expected as search for missing boaters moves north

Six days after two firefighters went to sea for a day of fishing and never returned, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department is expected to make a significant announcement on the search at noon.

Walker's wife Natasha even joined in on the search when she hopped on board a search plane piloted by Joe Hurston on Tuesday.

'I need to be up there feeling like I'm searching too,' Natasha Walker said before they took off in a small plane from Titusville to scour the ocean for signs of life.

"She's never flown in a little airplane- doesn't like to fly. (She) crawled in that airplane, strapped herself in and became one of the best spotters I've ever seen," Hurston recalled.

:(:(:(

Search now exceeds 105,ooo square miles.
Will continue to search this afternoon.
But, without additional information, they can't search with any degree of success.
They are suspending the active search tonight at sundown.

Coast Guard still saying finding that tool bag was “miraculous” and allowed them to focus in the search. But sadly that remains only clue correlated to missing boaters. So active search will stop when sun goes down tonight.
