i have altered my routine in that when i come home after dark i ask my husband to meet me out on the porch. we go out together at night to let the dog out. other than that, no. but we are trying to support our local businesses as much as a possible. they are really struggling.

i am a bit annoyed but glad the fbi and atf are here in town. i feel like our new police chief is in over his head.

suspicious of everyone and everyone. yes. at least people i don't recognize. cars and people walking by my house get a second look at least. our neighbors are all wonderful and all very use to keeping an eye on the neighborhood. if you aren't suppose to be here, one of my neighbors probably has eyes on you.

we all feel like this person HAS to be local. they are getting away too fast to not be local. not sure if you all can tell on google maps, but there are a lot of alley ways here in the neighborhood behind houses. i think the killer knows his way through these alley ways.

or only kills real close to his house - lives alone and just gets back in and hides

i am wondering if he puts clothes near where he is gonna kill anyone who passes by

the last one cops were there so quick so he has to have a place to go inside real quick and just not answer the door

it would be interesting to know if latest victim had any drug ties -- like the head guy or something

at least that gives something other than just this random murderer

creepy is the word that keeps popping in my mind as i get caught up

Thanks for your replies. It sounds like everyone has really been on the alert in the neighborhood. I was wondering if perhaps the killer used to live in the area, knows it well, but maybe lives somewhere else now. Maybe he still has friends or family in the neighborhood and comes by to visit or hang out when he does the killings. He can drop by to visit a friend, go out and do a killing, then return to friends house, then leave to his own home later. That might explain why LE isn't seeing him in the area between killings. Perhaps the friends or family he visits are not realizing he's the one.

The other alternative is that he's a night person, who works or lives his life at night, so is out when most people are asleep. Even then, you would think store clerks or someone would recognize him if he lived there.

with the llittle i watched i am starting to lean toward a fake leg or injury there is a favoring of one leg

also starting to wonder if maybe he does not work his walk is so specific it just seems like even in different clothes he would stand out ??

Blindtheskies, do you have any idea what new seafood restaurant Monica Hoffa was helping to set up? It was supposed to be near her grandparents who live in Hampton Park.

in tampa? i am not familiar with a hampton park in tampa. do you mean hampton terrace?

Yes, the sewers. This is what I keep thinking that maybe he is able to hide out/travel in the sewers.

a person wouldn't be able to fit down the storm drains near my house. the murder sites are only a few blocks away so im assuming they have the same drains. next time i'm close i'll take a look though.

the chief has been very clear, at least with the first 3 murders, that the victims have no drug ties. that they were good people that did not lead lifestyles that would put them in harms way.

Casino dealers work until 4am on Swing Shift (leaving enough time to murder by 5am) & they have “good hands”. They usually can give days away so there is some scheduling flexibility **except most are required to work weekends** which could be why the killer does not kill on the weekends?

This guy is athletic & rhythmic. This guy has a “God-complex” that has to be noticed by friends & family. They need to report their suspicions. Does he have a tattoo of his favorite super hero? Someone needs to start talking immediately.

All just my speculation and moo

interesting. the hard rock casino is not too far away from our neighborhood.

Since it appears he “vanishes” from the murder scene so quickly and LE is quickly approaching—perhaps he is finding a tall perch, rooftop, or trees? Maybe this killer climbs **upwards**...you know, like Spiderman???

While everyone is on the scene looking around at the ground &eye level, the murderer is up high watching down?

Moo

It is only 1.8 miles from the site of Ronald's murder to the north side of the Hillsborough river along 45. When I was young I easily ran hours at a consistent pace of six minute miles. So, I imagine that a trained athlete could cover get up to e river cove st in less than that. QUOTE=blindtheskies;13758038]i think the train tracks cross the river but again, it is pretty far from where the shootings occurred.

it isn't hard to cross 275. it is a raised highway and you can pass under it at certain roads. there are a lot of homeless people that live under the highway.

if anyone else on this thread lives in that area pls up your light bulb watts and just keep all lights on all night except bedroom

if both neighbors on both sides do it it makes a different

light is just a deterrent

high watts

Oh my, now I'm super creeped out :( I'm starting to wonder if he has an accomplice.

interesting idea. possible i guess. hiding on a building in these areas doesn't make too much sense. at least in the areas where the killings were are all mostly houses. would you notice a person on the roof of your house? i feel like that's a yes.

as for trees. it is possible. but this is florida. we have palm trees and lots of oak trees but they don't provide much coverage. if i climbed the huge oak tree in my yard there is no way i could stay hidden in it without being noticed. and it is a 200+ year old tree.

i personally think he is making his way through the alleys behind houses. some of them are so over grown you could easily hide in the tall grasses and junk without being seen.

this makes it scarier i thought there was a drug connection ?

is this latest victim gay ?? I am looking for a motive

true. but nebraska is a BUSY street. even at 5 am there are cars around. gas stations that are open 24 hours. seedy motels, homeless people, sex workers. coffee shops. it is unlikley someone could run along nebraska (41) for 1.8 miles without being seen or noticed. one or 2 blocks in through the alleys maybe. but they would still have to cross numerous other busy roads. hillsborough. sligh. lots of lights and big intersections on your way to the river and then across it.

Per news reports the past few weeks, the alleys are being cleared. Have they not finished clearing all alleys in Seminole Heights? If not, I would wonder "why not?"

Thank you. I postulate that the perp could have run parallel with 41 as I noticed from Google that almost all of the main streets are interspersed by ally lanes which almost all have various sorts of great cover such as heavy plant material, fencing, parked cars, garbage cans. Hiding from cars at night while traversing such allys is easy, have done it myself when younger (but for innocent reasons). Crossing busy street of course is a timing challenge, but if you are a good sprinter, you can be across in literally less than ten seconds. And if you do it when you are all clad in black, it is very possible that people in surrounding business won't even notice anything. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

some have been cleared. i don't have an alley behind my house but my friend one block south does and the city came and cleared hers out after the third shooting. there are 100% still alleys that need clearing. i drive past them every day.

i have seen no new street lights in my immediate area and haven't heard anyone say them got new lights by their house, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. mostly, the brighter streets are due to everyone leaving front, side and back lights on.

yeah. no one knows where he is going. he was seen running east from from nebraska on the 4th shooting. i don't know if it was ever talked about by the media, but he was running west away from 15th and toward nebraska on the first video released. our neighborhood east west borders are officially 15th to the east and 275 to the west ( MLK and hillsorough to the north and south) and that is why they are focusing so much on our area. he seems to know it so well and it is not a large neighborhood. i just don't get how they can't catch him.

looks like he is wearing a hat with a short bill under the hood.
maybe a hat under the hoodie?

i misunderstood what was being asked at first, but yeah i agree. it is weird how the video doesn't seem to match the description given. all the videos are so hard to see though.

i have seen reports on local facebook groups from people who say their cameras caught sight of this person. so i have a feeling there are more than one video of this person out there and this is just the one they decided to share.
