I think the gay issue has been brought up a lot cuz of the killer’s walk. At dirst no one was sure if he was male or female

IMHO, he does it to gain “street cred”, to prove he’s a bad-*advertiser censored** amongst his gangsta brothers. He knows he is a failure and a loser. He really doesn’t fit in. He can’t keep a girlfriend & cant garner a career.
So this is his chance at fame, accomplishment & ego.

This is this ugly monster’s only way to gain a sense of importance and attention.

If gang related yes, he is trying to prove himself to be a bad-*advertiser censored* gangsta.
If so someone knows and might rat him out for the reward money.

Almost like a video game. Kind of robotic. Scores points and leaves.

The same thought occurred to me. Some sort of heinous, murderous version of "Pokemon Go."

At some level the dress IMO feels more like a dancer or arty type attire as opposed to terror

or cross dressing stuff

I dont understand how the gay angle is avoided by LE -- that sounds more like following someone from a gay club or using an app than random

Does anyone know a concrete reason why they have ruled out the earlier hate crimes in the area?

I keep thinking he she is not good with guns as opposed to overkill

if he wanted that he might use a knife -- and he is getting up pretty close and would have a noise factor

plus the fact that he needs to get so close makes me think he is novice gun user moo

i just had a chilling thought -- if he she break out and does a daylight killing SH is gonna be so scared.......

Rbbm. Yeah, I don't see it as religious wear, either. Jason Derulo had a longer, tunic-y type shirt during the Lions halftime show. Immediately reminded my of the images of the shooter. (Obviously not saying it's him...just that it's "in style")

Pokemon Go has been on my mind while reading this thread. One of my nephews explained it briefly to me last year and I thought what a dumb concept, people roaming around the streets looking for monsters or something like that. It made me wonder if this guy is playing his own version of that game.....

except you catch/collect monsters and not shoot them.

I like this thinking out of the box...

Hence, his own version of it! Thanks I wasn't quite sure what exactly my nephew was telling me about it... lol:laughing:

(O/T, I recall reading articles way back about how predators can use this type of game(s) to lure victims so into alleys, etc for robbery, etc...LE would know if the victims here were involved with that (I suspect they werent)...)

There was a gay man, Dontae Lampkins, who was killed back in January. He was shot in an alley in the same neighborhood and was last seen getting off a bus. The police say it's not connected but some people disagree. That may be what you're thinking of.

Hmmmm...

Victimology. While the victims are possibly random, I do think this should be further explored, as being done re: orientation, etc.

IF he is targeting gays, I suspect he has his own insecurities re: his own orientation/sexuality, as the Orlando shooter did, iirc.

O/T, article re: mass/school shooters (yes, I know this situation in Tampa is not a cool shooting, etc.----my point is experts seem to agree in various articles that there are are warning signs that usually precede such violent behavior....so, if so, who has he told/what warning signs were there, if any?)

The Warning Signs of a Mass Shooting
Though profiles are not predictors, these experts say there are warning signs.

Some thoughts so far as to this shooter, possibly imo:
(SPECULATION, JMO, MOO)

1. Has previous or current gang affiliations, and/or is a "wannabe gangsta".
2. Has been arrested for prior crime (s) such as robbery, vandalism, DV, assault, drugs, guns, carjacking, motor vehicle theft, bank robbery, convenience store robbery.
3. Has prior military experience, possibly has been dishonorable discharged (served overseas?).
4. Has suffered the loss(es) of a loved one (via violence?)(younger sibling?)
*maybe lost his mother or grandmother (natural causes?).
5. Has possible affiliation with radical political group, such as ISIS; possible recruit.
6. Deals in narcotics, prostitution (Nebraska Ave.).
7. Has a geographic connection to the area, past or present via work, family member or prior residence, school, etc. (Anchor point, geographic profiling, awareness space, Rossmo)
8. Has a history of playing violent video games.
9. Possible struggles re: sexuality considering victimology if not random.
10. Drug user.
11. Deals guns.
12. History of sexual assault.
13. Has shot up structures before, buildings, vehicle windows, joyride style.
14. Possibly lives with elderly relative.
15. Has small kid (s) and possible dysfunctional relationship with baby's mother(s). Deadbeat dad.

Moo. It will be interesting to see how close or far this speculation this. I do not see some law abiding citizen with no prior violent history that nobody would suspect as this shooter. Of course I could be way wrong!

Psychologically:

1. Confident his athletic abilities and ability to escape/outrun LE and others.
2. Severe detest towards Law Enforcement.
3. Enjoys inflicting fear in community.
4. Densensiitized to violence and death.
5. Revels in his sense of power and control. Thinks he's smarter than everyone else.
6. Consumed by an overwhelming urge/compulsion to continue killing, similar to a SK, almost like an addiction.

*I lean more towards a disorganized offender:

"The disorganized offender is usually of low-average or below average intelligence. They often have poor work ethic and are apt to be regularly fired from or reprimanded at work; in the cases where a disorganized offender has a steady work ethic, they work blue collar jobs or jobs which require little or no use of reasoning or intelligence. They are socially inadequate and possess little or no interpersonal skills; most disorganized offenders have never been married or in a serious relationship. Although a disorganized offender may claim to beheterosexual, evidence will usually suggest that they are either a virgin or that their sexual conquests have come in relation to a paraphilia, such as necrophilia, bestiality, or pedophilia. Some disorganized offenders have exhibited homosexual tendencies, but in such cases, any homosexual contact they may have had will usually be either as a symbolic act of dominance or as an offshoot of one of their paraphilias. They most often live alone or with a family member.

Disorganized offenders have an innate fear or anxiety in regard to people, especially strangers, and usually live in a complex delusion that they have constructed in their own mind. Ed Gein, for example, exhumed the corpses of women who he believed reminded him of his mother and consumed parts of them because he believed that he could preserve his mother's soul inside of his own body, going so far as to create a "female suit" made of human flesh that he would wear when assuming his mother's identity.

Disorganized offenders,[2] lacking confidence and the skills necessary to plan a crime, do not venture far from their homes when committing murders. Their victims are either chosen at random or are people they know personally. The murder is violent, brutal, and sadistic; the disorganized offender uses overkill. A disorganized offender may stab his victim dozens of times even after he or she is dead."

There is a chance it might be quite a while before he strikes again.
(Or not.)

Question, are there any casinos nearby? Is gambling legal there?

How about Israel Keyes or Ted Bundy? Neither had been arrested in the past?

They travelled long distances. Maybe that is why this killer has not been identified?

Maybe some businesses have video from longer ago and they could capture this guy scoping out the neighborhood?

My friend owns a convenience store ( not in Florida). His tapes are on disk and he keeps them.

Could he work as a security guard?

I considered that. I even considered him being a rogue or fired cop given his ability to evade cops and having the seeming knowledge of LE tactics. But I quickly dismissed that because I'd think LE would recognize his traits.

I-Team: FBI seeing an increase in ISIS attempting to recruit American teens
It's happening in Florida
http://www.abcactionnews.com/news/l...-in-isis-attempting-to-recruit-american-teens

"Couvertier said it usually starts on social media or phone apps.

Additionally, teens playing war games on video game systems are a desired target. They like to shoot, and they may be interested in violence.

They can even talk to them on a headset.

"What they're really looking for is a vulnerability that they can exploit. Basically what violent extremists want this child to do is go out and kill or hurt innocent people," he said."

ISIS’s Call of Duty
https://www.newyorker.com/tech/elements/isis-video-game

"The similarities between isis recruitment films and first-person-shooter games are likely intentional. Back in June, an isis fighter told the BBC that his new life was “better than that game Call of Duty.” Video-game-themed memes traced back to*isis*have been floating around the Internet for months, including one that reads, “this is our call of duty and we respawn in jannah.” (“Respawn” is the gamer word for reincarnate.) Another isis video, as the Intercept notes, looks like a deliberate homage to Grand Theft Auto. Audio clips that sound much like ones in Call of Duty have been spliced into other isis videos."
