Yup. Here we go. Suspect with "arsenal" arrested at LA Gay pride parade.

Wonder if coordinated attacks on Gay Pride celebrations is planned?

2 things I want to include

1) just because this was a LGBT club does not mean that everyone there was - my daughter is gay and I go out with her and her girlfriend to these clubs. We have a club here in Wilton Manors that is very well frequented by ALL - they have a GREAT SHOW!

2) 103 shot by one shooter. AR-15 had to have been at least a semi automatic and he had to have reloaded at least once - I can't even begin to try to imagine how many shots were actually fired. He was just spraying the room - back and forth - have to have been with all the casualties.

Just a sad sad day. But I am relieved that he is dead - is that wrong?

No that's not wrong. I am always relieved when the shooter(s) are dead at the scene.

No trial, waste of money. More pain for the victims IMO....

I think his father is trying to diminish his motive Tricia and I suppose that is understandable but the FBI has said this guy was on their radar for a couple of years. Iirc 2013 and 2014. So his motive is much more than just seeing two gay guys kissing.

I do agree wholeheartedly that this is both a hate crime and a crime done by a terrorist extremist. I do think he did this because of his religious faith. He seems to have had those tendencies for years now. Radicalized I mean, since he showed up on the FBIs watch list. Imo, he did this at the urging of ISIS who called for all supporters to commit acts of violence against the infidels during Ramadan.

Interesting. It takes almost 12 hours for it to come out that the terrorist called 911 to claim ISIS loyalty, and references the boston bombers, and we find out the FBI has had this guy on their radar since 2013, and the terrorist is the american born son of Afghani immigrants, whose father is running for political office in Afghanistan. And all of them are Muslim. And it's Ramadan. And Al Baghdadi has called for lone wolves to attack during Ramadan. And a gay pride celebration is scheduled for today.

Authorities (Including the POTUS and highest levels of leaders) absolutely, positively knew ALL of this in the first 15 min after the 911 call came in, and the shooting started.

But we will be led to believe it's all just a vast coincidence. Or that it's workplace violence, or some other absurd notion.

See how the spin and suppression works? This time they kept a lid on it for 10-12 hours. How long was it in San Bernadino?

I am not sure what you are suggesting here. What should they have done with this supposed knowledge?

What people did not see it coming? Considering US has mass shooting regularly, one could reasonably expect a mass shooting happening. Or are you suggesting people should have seen it coming at that specific location?

When are we going to WAKE UP! These terrorists hate everyone! They are equal opportunity haters.

They only hate infidels/ non-believers, and those believers they deem who are not devout "enough". Or belong to the "wrong" sect of Islam. (The Sunni and Shia terrorists hate each other even more than they hate infidels.)

Just saw he held them for at least 3 hours. That would certainly explain the high death rate, he had LOTS of time to make sure many were dead. Some would have bled out from treatable wounds in that amount of time.

According to CNN a man was arrested yesterday by police who was heavily armed with the intention of going to the Gay Pride parade today in Los Angelas.

This terrorist attack was thwarted thanks to Law Enforcement.

Even if the terrorists have never spoken to anyone in ISIS that doesn't mean the attacks are not ISIS related.

This has been the big fear for a long time. Single acting terrorist going out on their own based on sympathy with ISIS, Taliban, insert your terrorist organization here.

I don't know what else to say. I am numb.

ALSO. The blood requirements regarding gay men have BEEN DROPPED in order to allow them to donate blood for this situation. I confirmed this with the hospital. No other restrictions to donating blood have been dropped - so if you cannot donate blood typically, you still cannot donate blood for this.

I am not surprised at the large number of causalities, it started around bar closing time and building did not get stormed until around 5, who knows how many were in the bathroom but I do not imagine any that were there made it out alive, with 53 injured I suspect the number will rise.

325 people max capacity, that is a rather small venue, a lot of bars easily have a 1,500 capacity.

Does anyone know if they allow the club to stay open past 2am? A lot of bars get around this by changing over to a juice bar after legal hours and stay open til 4am and so on.

They dont switch to juice, but generally, gay bars (unlike stght) do not do the get out at 2 - sharp -they do the alcohol cutoff at 2 , and let us mingle for a bit, start their cleanup , and then around 20-30 minutes later ask everyone to clear out.

FBI might know about them, but unless these terrorists actually do something, our laws don't allow for them to be arrested or put away.
