"You took her from my family," she said. "You don't do this to a little baby and put my baby in the trash.

Thompson said possible scenarios are hard to imagine since it was unlike her daughter to go off on her own and approach a stranger.

She said she thought it was possible that her Somer was upset and ran off and that, "This sick person was waiting...I just want him found."

I've never done this attachment thingy before so forgive me if I didn't do it correctly.

Anyway, attached is a map of 1080 Gano (highlighted in black) and the closest SRO (highlighted in red).

How strong Somer's mom is. One thing I did see with her is anger. She is angry. And rightfully so. I pray God gives her the strength to get through the next few weeks.

This monster has to be caught - or should it be ...

this monster needs to catch a bullet or two or 10 ......

Only if they are aimed at the elbows, knees, and ankles at first...

I posted an SO that Clay county picked up yesterday. It said he is homeless and they arrested him for not notifying LE that he didnt live at his permanent address anymore. I am now suspicious that the house they are investigating was abandoned and could be being used by the homeless such as the SO they picked up.

Isn't it sick that SO have special units for their own protection while they are in jail, but our children have to live with them next door???!!!!

As someone reminded me, these garbage trucks were compactor trucks.

That would make the cause of death more difficult, I expect unless there was evidence of strangulation, stabbing or shooting.

I agreed that by not commenting on whether she was sexually assaulted, they were saying yes.

I did not see the 1080 Gano address on the list of SOs, and neither of the names listed as owner jumped out at me.

Is that Antwan R?

Everly - I hear where you're coming from, but we haven't walked in Somer's mothers shoes. By no means do I feel she's moving on, she wants to scream outloud to anyone who will listen. I think, for myself, I'd be banging on the white house door demanding action. Grief, and I mean deep grief, will come in time. Right now, I'm sure she's in shock and denial - waiting for her sweet child to walk thru the door. I pray for her.

Personally, I think we could use a gazillion more child advocates :)

Stepping outside your own pain to offer help to other's down the road, can be a real healing process. One day, she may be able to share with other victims her story and help those in need.

How Detectives Will Track Down Somer’s Killer

Investigators were reluctant to release more specific information on how they solve crimes, so they don’t tip off suspects. Sources say a lot of crimes are solved through old-fashioned police work and they often pay confidential informants for information

The FBI has studied numerous offenders and their behaviors and investigators can use that information to develop a profile of a potential suspect.

And does anyone else notice redmarks on his neck???? and face?

I too am amazed that mom is able to do pressers so soon. But, everyone is different. Me? I'd be sedated, incoherent, and beyond being rational.

Has anyone heard of a SO with initials WLK? I'd love to know the last name.

Interesting. It could be a charge to get him in custody so they can talk to him more in-depth about Somer's murder. Or I suppose they could have come across him while canvassing the neighborhood and questioning SOs.

I think the connection between that and the vacant house is a good one, though. Where better for a homeless SO to live? What was this guy's priors?

This appears to be the house at 1080 Gano. For those of you using Google Earth, the house is located at Google reference 992 and 982 Gano. The house appears to be about a block away from a corner where the last of 3 crossing guards were located. The last crossing guard said she did not see Somer pass her way.

I have been watching a news stream at http://www.news4jax.com/video/15505198/index.html

They have removed a white container from the house and taken it directly to the patrol car. The container looked like a cooler, though more of an official type container (not a cooler we would use).

They have removed other items from the house in paper bags. They continue to search the dumpster outside. Retaining items such as Chinese carry out containers.

Apparently they have had several workers inside this house working on it and renovating it.

They have also removed evidence from the Men's restroom in the park that is right across the street.

This is the restroom that is across the street which ironically is where police had a command post set up.

The 2 people who come up as residents of the 1080 Gano address were probably renters. Clay County Appraisal info attached.

I like removal of lots of potential evidence. Gives me more hope that they have DNA for Somer's killer.
