These articles are a fascinating find. I realize that Ryan's dad doesn't appear to have been charged with a crime, but the fact that he was granted immunity is quite telling. And his statement that he can't remember the transactions in regards to 11 mortgages that he was hopeful would "grow the business" is not at all believable, IMO. I would love to know more about this.

I read about this on another site, awesome news IMO!
I do hope this will get the ball rolling in the right direction and offices all over the country will follow suit.
( should they find themselves in a similar situation obviously )

This collection of articles does not have to do with the Halbach case, however does have to do with Kratz. This is one his first big story cases as DA of Calumet County. What I found interesting was an opinion piece that I read about this Stebane Case that was going on for what seems like decades. The person wrote about the good Ol' boys club in the Cal County sheriffs department, DA and Judge.

attachment.php

Little history Ervin Stebane owned and operated a Dog Farm. In March of 1960 he made the paper needing to fix up the farm to bring it up to code. Which he did. In Nov of that same year 1960, Stebanes two sons were in the slow moving cattle truck when they were struck by a patrol car. The cop was involved in a high speed chase with another car when it struck the truck killing the older of the 2 Stebane Boys. Some suing and such happened after this going into 63 or so.

The Farm does not get cited again for 26 years. When an investigative journalist started writing pieces about the Animal abuse happening at this farm. Not much is done about it in 1986.

1993 Stebane is caught shooting a dog on video tape to be sold for food. Again nothing is really done by the state. However in 1994 USDA took away the mans license.

Some info on Kachinsky. In 2005 he was involved in another Murder case. He was Also running for Winnebago Co. Judge and Military duties were also delaying the case in 2005. even mentioned his military duties might interfere with the election. On March 8th he loses this Murder case and the guy was convicted. In this same paper on the 8th it mentions how losing this case hurt his chances at the judge race. Also in march 8th paper mentions Lens Rape case going to trial. So what do they do. they give Brendan Dasseys case to him the very next day Mar 9 2006. Shakes my head. He was trying to fix his chances for winnebago judge race.

Remember Winnebago Co. is where Ex Attorney General Peg L was a DA in the 80s and gave M. HIllegas immunity on 11 counts.

Netflix wasnt the first time to show Manitowoc Officials in bad lighting. I read in the paper that Vogel and a Judge Ripped up the Show 60 Minutes that aired on Dec 19 1982. The episode was about the 1972 Murder of Mary Glander.

The announcement in the paper of it airing. https://www.newspapers.com/clip/12562985/60_mins_aired_dec_19_1982_mary_glander/

It was pointed out to me that Vogel was pretty young when he became Elected DA. I put together this post.

Denis Vogel elected DA of Manitowoc County at the age of 25. He graduated from Law school in 1976 and was elected DA later this same year 76'. In his Ads for DA he mentions Centennial family Of Manitowoc County. He ends up winning unopposed several dropped from running it seems.

He enters Jun 16 1976 and win Sept 15 1976. He was sworn in on Jan 3 1977 and on Jan 5th 1977 he assigns his college friend as ADA.

I have attached a few Articles on this subject below.

Thanks Mysticjynx!!!!

Who needs John Ferak when we've got you. :D

Great sleuthing!!!

[h=1]Dog survives shot from Marinette police officer[/h]MCSO changing their tune. Now where have we seen that before?

http://www.wbay.com/content/news/Dog-survives-shot-from-Marinette-police-officer-441567003.html

Were they SO scared of Bear that they couldn't pull a trigger? Plus, Bobby was on the property to get his Lab puppy. Why couldn't he move Bear? Or Earl who was also there that Saturday? They pull people over while going to get soda, so why couldn't they bring Steve or whomever back to the property solely to remove Bear? Don't get me started, and yes, I'm totally worried about every single pet in Texas!

Question - the scratches on Bobby D back - is that recorded anywhere? Were they fresh scratches - from what I recall he said his cat did it/

Has Bobby ever visited Brenden? I have a serious problem with BoD
